The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret by Carly Glover -
Chapter 310 Let’s Talk
Nathaniel got into his comfy clothes and made a phone call. Many items purchased from upscale supermarkets were carried by his underlings and left at the door. He also brought fresh strawberries and a big box of cherries.
After cleaning his hands, Nathaniel went to work in the kitchen, preparing steaks, king crabs, lobsters, and rare wild truffles.
In addition, he prepared a variety of green leafy veggies, Qugrium white lettuce, matsutake, and leeks.
He brought items into Freya's kitchen without asking her for assistance or talking to her.
He asked Koen to buy a bigger double-door refrigerator because he despised how tiny the one was when he first moved there.
When Freya first got this flat, she had no intention of staying with anyone else. However, Nathaniel unexpectedly added a lot of stuff.
It was hard to avoid the remnants of Nathaniel in her life; they were everywhere.
Nathaniel was upset with her as well. How was he not furious?
After embarrassing himself and Abigail at their dinner party, he organized a number of bureaus to compromise his computer system. Xavier almost burst into tears that night.
He had no idea how many secrets she now held over him. He was unsure of her next move.
But now Nathaniel didn't care about anything. He immediately fried a big plate of truffles and prepared a matsutake soup. This type of vegetable was typically served as a side dish, sprinkled on top of other recipes, rather than cooked whole.
After all, one kilogram costs 35,000 US dollars.
However, Nathaniel was unconcerned about the cost and simply fried a dish.
Freya was left speechless as she looked at the plate of Pontenero white truffles.
After washing her hands, she entered the kitchen, only to discover that she was completely powerless to step in.Nathaniel didn't say anything to her, but he kept his head down and did as he pleased. She had no idea what he was going to cook.
Freya just stepped back and decided to spend some time cleaning the pot.
Feeling a little dazed, she leaned against the kitchen door and stared at the tall figure working inside.
Who would have imagined that Mr. Nathaniel was also a brilliant chef?
Nathaniel finished preparing every dish on the table, cracked open a bottle of Pontenero red wine, and poured a small amount into Freya's cup. "Come, take a seat!"
His tone was a little thick and his voice was raspy, yet this was the first thing he said after walking through the door.
At the dining table, Nathaniel held up a cup to greet Freya. His complexion was harsh and gorgeous, and he had really frigid eyebrows.
Even casual flirtation between couples felt just as important as official talks.
"Salute! Enjoy the fact that you achieved your goals."
Freya was unaware of his meaning when he said that. However, she also lifted her glass and expressed gratitude.
After taking a sip, Nathaniel steadily observed Freya with slightly bewildered, deep eyes.
He opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it and gave her the order to eat the food that was placed in front of her.
Freya took her time to replace out what he wanted to say. He was free to do as he pleased once things had reached this stage.
She lowered her head to concentrate on her meal, but she had not expected Nathaniel's cooking to be so good.
"If you have any questions, Freya, feel free to ask me personally. You don't need to torture me in this way."
Freya almost finished eating, but Nathaniel stopped her and fixed his gaze on the woman.
She could eat his dishes in silence, as if nothing had happened in front of him, even after doing so much.
Although there was some uncontrollable rage in his heart, it was more shame and even terror.
Though he was aware that she had been wronged by everyone three years prior, he was unsure of the exact course of action she would take to get her retribution. Nathaniel panicked a little, to be honest.
With a pause for a bite, Freya removed one side of the napkin and dabbed at her mouth, asking, "What are you going to do about Abigail?"
