Nathaniels facerely showed a hint of warmth. This was their long–serving servant. He nodded and nickestops he fork to an eating.

Ms Lovell was about to leave when Nathaniel stopped her in her tracks.

“Mi Lover, three years ago when Freya pushed Abigail down the stairs, right here in this three–story mamion, what do you think..

My Loven was taken aback. It had been three years, and Nathaniel suddenly brought up this question.

She was instantly at a loss for words. The incident had already alarmed the police, who concluded it was an attempted murder case. She didn’t know how to respond.

Nathaniel asked again, “What do you think of Freya as a person? Is she…”

Is she a murderer? He used to have no qualms about saying such a statement, but now he wasn’t sure.

If there were hidden truths behind the events three years ago, the memory of him breaking Freya’s hand. with his own hands suddenly overwhelmed him, and he clutched his chest..

Mr. Morgan?

Nathaniel waved his hand.

Ms. Lovett sensed that something was wrong with Nathaniel. She composed herself and said in a low voice, “Actually, I always thought Ms. Gomez wasn’t that kind of person.”

Nathaniel tightly gripped the fork, his face turning pale.

Ms. Lovett dared not say anything more.

“Go on!” Nathaniel forced his expression to appear less intimidating.

Ms. Lovett took a deep breath. “I always felt that Ms. Gomez, such a cheerful and lovely girl, wouldn’t be capable of murder.”

With a loud clatter, the spoon Nathaniel was using to scoop soup fell to the floor.

Between his handsome eyebrows, his expression had turned icy.

Ms. Lovett hurriedly bent down to pick up the spoon, a tinge of fear crossing her face. She didn’t dare say anything else.

She cautiously smiled and said, “Mr. Morgan, what else would you like to eat? I can prepare it for you.”

“I’m not hungry, Nathaniel pushed away the plate in front of him, got up in irritation, and walked to the balcony. He couldn’t help but look towards the desolate Gomez Mansion next door.

The moment he glanced at it, his restlessness increased. He had a nagging feeling that disaster was about

He grabbed his phone.

“Koen! Come with me.

Finished

Koen was sitting in a small kitchen on the first floor, enjoying the noodles made by Ms. Lovett. It had to be said that Ms. Lovett’s noodles, with their perfectly seasoned toppings, tasted especially delicious.

Before he could savor another bowl, Nathaniel’s call came through.

He hurriedly stood up, grabbed a tissue to wipe his mouth, and walked out of the kitchen just as Nathaniel hastily descended the stairs.

“Mr. Morgan, where would you like to go?”

Nathaniel paused his steps, and with an impatient tone, he said, “Go wherever you want!”

Koen was taken aback. Why did it feel like there was a strong reaction after Hudson found out about something? These past few days, Nathaniel seemed like a completely different person.

He didn’t dare say anything and followed Nathaniel out of the living room to the garage, where he fetched

the car.

To his surprise, as soon as he parked the car next to Nathaniel, he saw him lifting his head and staring in the direction of the Gomez Mansion, motionless.

“Mr. Morgan?

Koen stepped out of the car and opened the door.

Nathaniel got into the car, and just as Koen was about to start the car and leave, Nathaniel suddenly said. “Call Kayden and have him replace a construction team to renovate the interior and exterior of the Gomez Mansion.”

“Don’t move anything inside, keep it exactly as it is. And remember…”

Nathaniel paused for a moment, then continued, “Remember to replace a good–quality renovation team. Money is not an issue.”

Koen was utterly dumbfounded. Didn’t Nathaniel have a grudge against the Gomez family? Why did he suddenly have such an unrealistic idea?

A sense of panic crept up in his heart. Nathaniel seemed to be losing his mind!

“Alright, I’ll call Mr. Brown right away. Where do you want to go now?”

“Just drive along Vanara Road, anywhere will do, Nathaniel leaned back wearily in his seat. He was feeling a bit exhausted and worn out.

The projects in East Saeville demanded his attention every day.
