"Nathaniel is a f*cking pervert! I thought that he would kill you when he broke into our rental house." Freya's heart throbbed, and when she was about to say something, Dominic Jones called her. Dominic was the attending doctor of her mother, and she quickly answered the phone. "Mr. Jones, hello."
"Ms. Gomez, please come to the hospital now: your mother's condition is getting worse."
Her face turned pale as she was frightened; she quickly responded and hung up the phone.
"What's wrong with Auntie Linda?" Peyton was panicking too.
Linda's condition should have stabilized by now; Peyton always kept up on her medical card. She also paid her medical and nursing expenses on time. She was shocked that something had happened to her
now.
The two of them quickly took a taxi and came to the Leisville Hospital, where they saw Dominic pushing Linda to the operation room.
Freya quickly signed the agreement, and the two of them were waiting anxiously outside of the operation room.
Freya had been through this several times, and every time was a great torment to her.
Two hours had passed when Dominic finally came out of the operation room.
"Mr. Jones!" Freya and Peyton walked up to him."
His forehead was full of sweat, and he looked at Frey with sympathy. This woman is pretty unlucky; her family was ruined, and her mother even got into a car accident; her head was bleeding internally. She has to undergo surgery to remove the congestion, but she is still in critical condition after six surgeries.
He brought Freya to his office and said, "Ms. Gomez, let's talk privately. Your mother is not doing well, mainly because our technologies are not as advanced as those overseas."
"And, because of your budget, we can't use the best medicine that is imported for your mother." "We can only do the bare minimum for your mother, and hence the congestion in her brain can't be cleared properly."
She sobbed, "Mr. Jones, please... Please use the best medicine on my mother; I'll think of a way to pay
for it."
"P. Please use the best medicine!
Dominic was hesitant, and he asked, "The imported reedicine is expensive; are you sure about it?"

Dominic sighed and handed the invoice to Freya.

Looking at the huge amount on the invoice, she gasped. In one day, it already cost two to three thousand dollars in fees. She still went to pay for it, but the payment was only enough for three days. Both Freya and Peyton were in a daze after coming out of Dominic's office.
Thousands of dollars per day, so one month it would roughly cost tens of thousands of dollars. And using the imported medicine was not accounted for by medical insurance.
The more they delayed it, emergencies like today would happen more frequently, until...
Linda was sent back to the ward. This hospital might now be as good as the municipal hospital, but the director of this hospital once had Killian's support.
Killian was the one who funded this hospital when it first started out.
The director did not dare to visit Freya when she was jailed, but he arranged a single room for Linda when Peyton was sent here. And he asked the doctors to try their best to save her.
The initial medical fees were actually sponsored by the director out of his own money, but later on he decided to stop intervening.
He thought that he had done his best to help her, and he did not want to offend Nathaniel by helping Freya.
At that moment. Freya looked around and saw Gael Ortiz, the director of Leisville Hospital. He hurriedly walked to the treatment area with a bunch of people following him; it seemed like he was greeting some sort of influential and powerful patient
Freya turned around and walked to Linda's ward Peyton went back to get some money, as Freya's bank: card had some money after selling her t-shirts.
