King Braedon POV

Ouch. The cushion whacked me right in the face. I hadn't been expecting Blair to show such antagonism towards me, but then again, perhaps I should have. When I came back from my run and went to check on Blair, I was hardly expecting to walk into the media room and replace her naked, along with Sierra and Josie. Not to mention all three women were extremely drunk. There were beer bottles scattered all over the floor. Between the three of them, they had consumed so many that it was impossible to count just how much they had drunk. Blair was looking at me challengingly and swaying on her feet. I blinked, not sure how to address them all and trying hard not to ogle my mate who looked as though she wanted to tear my head off. Even angry she was stunning I thought with a groan. My wolf purred, wanting to take her upstairs and ravish her, even as I admonished him, knowing we could never take her in such a state.

"If it wouldn't make such a mess I would kill you" Blair hiccuped.

Say what? I frowned. I was certain I had either misheard her or she meant to say something else. I was flabbergasted at the situation. I mind-linked James to come and help me. I wasn't going to be able to take care of all three women on my own. My mate continued to glower at me as I eyed her carefully, certain that if I said the wrong thing I would set her off like a bomb about to explode.

"What exactly am I supposed to do?" he groused, standing in the doorway with me and looking frustrated.

We looked at the girls tentatively, all three women glaring at us with open hostility and disdain. I gave James a helpless look. "Wrangle them up? Put their clothes on maybe?" I suggested drily. "Do we look like cows to you?" Blair snarled, her lip curling back.

I gave her an innocent look "No but honey maybe you should come to bed" I said soothingly holding my hands up in a non-threatening manner "You look tired" I added sympathetically.

No dice. Damn. Should have known that wouldn't work on her. She was immune to my charms. "What if I want to go to bed with someone else" she snapped "seeming as I'm such a slut?" she hissed.

That rankled. I deserved that though after what I had accused her of earlier. I winced while James gave a low chuckle, looking at the women as though they were angry bears. He wasn't wrong though. Sierra was settling herself back down on the couch and Josie was passed out now on the floor, cuddled up with a cushion against her chest. "I'll get Josie and put her in a guest room," he said sighing "But approaching Sierra right now would be a death sentence," he said aside "That woman is a menace when she's pissed."

"You can't just leave Sierra in this room naked" I hissed "If another male walks in here..." I trailed off looking at him meaningfully hoping he read between the lines.

"They are in more danger from Sierra than she is from them" James protested as he walked in and gathered Josie up, cradling her carefully in his arms as she murmured in her sleep and snuggled up against him.

He was right. But Sierra was drunk and it was my duty to ensure her safety. Blair still looked as though she was ready to tear my head off. I swallowed hard.

James subtly left the room. "Maybe I should go kiss another male" Blair snapped "Then at least I'll be guilty of what you accused me of" she continued, staring at me stonily.

I had really hurt her with that accusation, I thought glumly. "Blair, I'm sorry" I apologized, moving forward and taking her in my arms.

She made a pathetic effort to struggle before relaxing slightly. I saw Sierra peer at us with bleary eyes. "You need me to help you Blair?" she called out grumpily, attempting to take a defensive position. Great, was she going to attack me on Blair's behalf? Since when had they become best friends?

"No it's okay," Blair said, blinking at me.

I wondered when she and Sierra had gotten so close. So much for being enemies I thought a little amused. Perhaps their anger towards me had brought them closer together.

"I should never have accused you of such a thing and I realize now how wrong I was. I don't know how to make it up to you, but please Blair, let me get you to bed" I insisted. She took one step and stumbled, falling against me. My arms shot out and steadied her, helping her to balance. "Stupid tingles" she muttered as I fought back my grin. She gave a yawn. "Sleepy" she complained.

James came back and gave Sierra a look filled with doubt. Sierra stared right back at him as though daring him to come near. I tried to fight back my laughter.

"Sierra let's get you back to a room. How about we replace your clothes" James suggested, his tone filled with desperation as he tried to avoid looking too closely at her naked form.

"Don't want to" Sierra snarled, standing up and folding her arms "I like being naked. It's more comfortable."

James choked. He went bright red. He glanced at me for help. I scooped Blair up in my arms and gave him a look, my eyes twinkling. "Good luck" I murmured and his eyes widened and a look of panic came over him. "You can't leave me alone with her" he blurted out.

Sierra c****d her head, looking James up and down "You know, you're not that bad looking" she commented, slurring her words.

I tried not to laugh as James looked even more panicked now. "Just remember you're the Beta and it's part of your responsibility to look after every member of the pack" I shot out, heading out of the doorway and looking at James over my shoulder "Good luck my friend" I added gleefully, my mate resting comfortably against my chest as James's jaw dropped open in shock.

I heard a strangled sound behind me as Sierra began to talk again, the door slamming shut behind me.
