Chapter 23

We arrive at the pack at four in the afternoon. I hurriedly went to my room and take a long shower. I even shave for god knows why and waited for Lani. She said we need to do extra today.

She arrives having her make-up kit and things that girl uses in this kind of occasion.

“Now Angel, pick the dress you are wearing tonight, so I will know how to do your hair and make-up.”

“I want the silver one.” When I first tried it, I know that it’s the perfect dress for tonight. It’s a mid-thigh tube silver-gray dress and it hugs my every curve and shows my long legs. I look like a Victoria’s secret model when I wear it.

“I’ll do my job now. Hold still and do not move. Leave it to your best-friend.” Lani says.

Lani stops me for looking into the mirror until she finishes what her doing. I told her to hurry since we all have twenty minutes before six. I feel Gabriel is already in the pack house. He might be waiting for me outside.

“Done!” Lani finally says.

I turn around and look in the mirror.

“Oh my gosh! Is this me?” I ask her.

Lani curled my hair into one of that beach wave style. She put’s make up to my face but it doesn’t look too much. Actually, she makes my face look natural in a different way.

“See? I knew you’ll like it. Come on let me help you with the dress.” Lani proudly said.

When I finally wear the dress, Lani and I started in the mirror and look at the girl in front of it. Lani almost crying saying that I look gorgeous.

“I bet Alpha Gabriel will get a hard time controlling himself when he sees you.”

I just smiled. I look at the time and it almost six. We both went down and everybody in the living room stares at me in awe.

“God Angel! If I were a man, I definitely court you. Mate or not.” Lea said when she she’s me.

“Hey! Your mate is here. I should be the one saying that line.” Simon says.

“You look gorgeous Angel.” Levi says. He’s hanging out with my team whenever I see him.

“Thank you, guys. Wait, where is Kayden by the way?” I ask. I haven’t seen him all day.

“Someone drags him out a while ago and force him to accompany her in some party thing.” Aden said.

“Who drags him? He’s not the type who goes into a party without you guys.”

“I think her name is Kisha? Yeah, it’s her. The one you fight about two days ago.” Aden replied.

“What?!” I exclaim.

“Forget about Kayden for now. Your mate is already waiting outside with my mate. I think Michael is telling something to me like a brother should be doing when his only sister is going out on a date.” Lani says.

“I’m too old for that.” I replied.

“It’s time.” Lani says. She opens the door and signal me to go out.

I must say, Gabriel do extra too. He’s wearing tuxedo for heaven’s sake!

This is the first time I saw him dress-up. I don’t even know that my mate could be more handsome. His hair is also fixed up, like a brush up style. He looks so shock when he sees me. My brother elbows him to get him back to reality.

“Dude say something.” Michael says to Gabriel.

“You look stunning Angel.”

“You don’t look bad yourself.” I said.

“You too should leave now and enjoy.” Michael says.

“Shall we?” Gabriel asks.

“Sure.”

He opens the door for me before getting in the car. I wave goodbye to my brother and best friend before he started the car and leave.

“What restaurant are we going? I feel hungry all of the sudden.” I said.

I mean it. I’m really starving now but not that kind of starve in the tummy. I feel hot seeing Gabriel this way. The memories of what we did last time keeps playing on my head.

“It’s a fine dining restaurant in town. I don’t know if you have been there since it’s new. Michael and I always go there to have meeting with another Alpha’s. The food is great as well as the ambiance. We can talk and drink some peacefully.

“It’s sound great. By the way, did you meet Kisha this morning?” I ask. It bothers me seeing her wearing Gabriel’s shirt. And she told me that Gabriel invited her but she refused it, that’s why Gabriel invite me as a substitute.

“Yes. I was out for a quick run this morning but I didn’t talk to her.”

“I see.”

“Why? Did she tell something to you again?” Gabriel asks.

“Yeah. She told me that you invited her for dinner but she refuses it and she’s also wearing your shirt this morning.” I said.

“My shirt? I invited her out? Look Angel, one of the reasons I want us to leave the pack and have some time alone is because of this. I want to bond with you and clear some misunderstanding. I didn’t give her my shirt. She might grab it when I shifted and I didn’t also ask her out.

Why should I? we didn’t have s*x if that’s what you think. I respect her as a little sister. She’s Amelie and Antoine daughters.

I will not do that to them I respect them a lot. She’s obsessed with me ever since, that’s why Antoine sends her to his cousin pack to stop pestering me.” Gabriel explained. I can feel his irritation and I’m sure that he’s telling the truth.

That girl is a snake. No wonder I feel this way against her. She totally changes from being my little sister too. I feel sad for Amelie and Antoine.

I change the subjects and I update him regarding to the status of the pack training until we arrived at our destination.

The place looks expensive and high class. It’s a mini castle in the middle of the town. I didn’t see it when I was here earlier. Maybe I’m too busy looking for my dress. The interior of the inside is just like what you see in the castle but more on tables since it’s a restaurant. Even the waiters are wearing royal guard suits.

Gabriel enter first and the waitress shows us our table and ask us what we want to order. I found a lot of interesting food in the menu but Gabriel recommended what he thinks is the best.

“You must be really eating here a lot.” I said after the waitress leaves us.

“Yes. I own this place.

“Own what?”

“This restaurant is mine.” Gabriel proudly says.

“I didn’t know you do business like this. Most of the time, the pack invested in international business from the resources we got from the mines.” I said.

“Well, things change and I like cooking.”

Yes, I remember him cooking last time and he’s so good. This is new discovery for me.

“Look Angel, please don’t misunderstood my relationship to Kisha. For me she’s family. I don’t want to hurt her feelings also. Soon she will replace her mate and she will forget her dreams about being my Luna.”

“I know, but please avoid k!ssing other woman in front of me. It hurst me and I feel so much pain in my heart.” I said.

“I promise to not do that again and I will not ki—-”

Gabriel was interrupted by someone who just k!ss him in the cheeks in front of me.

“Gabriel and Angel? What a coincidence seeing you both here.” Kisha says.

‘What the hell is she doing here?’ I mind link Gabriel but he seems to have no idea at all.

Kisha sit next to Gabriel and she raise her hand to call someone.

“Alpha Gabriel? Angel?” Kayden looks surprise seeing us here.

“What are you doing here Kayden?” I ask.

“This girl tricked me to come with her into the party but after a while she gets boring and brought me here.” Kayden says while sitting next to me.

Gabriel is not please about the situation nor I. Our date become disaster because of Kisha. I can feel she planned this.

“Kisha, there’s a lot of table here. I can get you one. Angel and I are on a date right now.” Gabriel suggested.

“I’m okay here. It’s like double date.” She answers, ignoring the fact that Gabriel wants her to leave.

She starting to ruin my night and to the fact that we can’t kick her out of here is devastating. Gabriel should talk to her Amelie and Antoine regarding this. She’s getting out of hand.

“It’s okay Gabriel. Let’s just finish our dinner and talk later.” I suggest.

He looks disappointed and stayed quiet.

“Angel if you’re Gabriel’s mate, why are you still not part of the pack? I can’t mind link you.” Kisha asks.

“Because I haven’t still decided which pack I will stay with.”

Gabriel and Kayden look at me at the same time.

“Why? Are you not in good terms with Gabriel? Are you been rejected by him?”

“Kisha, stop talking nonsense and finish your food.” Gabriel says.

“I’m just curious. Mom told me that she left the pack two years ago. Did you know that you’re mates back then?” Kisha continue pushing the subject.

“There are things that a girl like you shouldn’t ask. Gabriel and I is not your concern and stop dreaming that my mate will be yours. He is MINE.” I said, emphasizing the word mine.

Gabriel smile at what he heard but it disappears the moment I kick him under the table.

‘Do you want me to handle her for you?’ Slade suggested.

It’s a tempting offer but I declined it. I don’t want her to loss her temper here. This is Gabriel’s restaurant and there’s a lot of human here.

“Yours? I haven’t seen a mark on Gabriel’s neck for you to claim him.” She says.

I was taken back by her words. Yes, I haven’t mark Gabriel’s human form. Once I did that our bond will be complete.

“I haven’t decided on that yet. I’m busy with training the pack members and Gabriel is busy with Alpha duties too.” I answer.

“What about this hottie here?”

“Hottie? You mean Kayden? What so you mean about that?”

“He likes you. I can see it and you too are close. Did you two have s*x already?”

“Kisha!” Both Gabriel, Kayden and I exclaimed.

People inside look in our way.

Slade can’t take it anymore. She’s pushing herself to take control. I tried to control her but she’s too powerful to handle. She wins and take control of my body.

“Kisha, you should stop playing this game with Angel.” Slade said.

Gabriel looks surprise and nervous at the same time, as well as Kayden.

“Who are you? You’re her wolf?” Kisha ask.

“I am kid and I just show up to tell you that if you don’t stop saying stupid things right now, I’m going to kill you.” Slade says.

“Slade calm down.” Kayden says.

“Ang you Kayden, next time you choose a date” Slade look at Kisha and then back to Kayden “Make it worthy in my presence.” Slade said before giving me back my body.

“It’s not a date. She fools me to be here.” Kayden says.

“Kayden, it’s me Angel. Its okay. I understand.” I said.

Gabriel pushes his plate and motion me to leave.

“You can finish your dinner together. Angel and I will go somewhere else. Enjoy.” Gabriel says before guiding me out of the restaurant to our car.

“I swear tomorrow I will tell Amelie and Antoine about this and ask them to send Kisha away if she misbehaves like this again.” Gabriel said while driving.

“Where are we going Gabriel?” I ask.

“Home. Where no one can disturb us. I want to be alone with you for a moment but its been ruined.”

“Calm down. I’m fine. It’s a good idea to go to o-our house. I want to stay there tonight too.” I said.

He looks at me and he smiles. His happy that I call that place our home. I started to feel uneasy all of the sudden.

“Gabriel, isn’t it hot?” I ask.

“No, I’m fine. Wait I’ll open the aircon for you.”

Gabriel open it and put it in maximum but I steel feel hot.

“I’m hot. I feel hot inside.” I said.

“Angel you’re in h-heat. I can smell it. We need to be home now before other unmated wolf smells you.”

Oh sh!t! Not now….
