Chapter seven.

Subtitle : reborn of the Phoenix Princess.

** Still on general POV **

Melanie groaned in pans as she opened her eyes.

Her back arched and she was squirming.

Her tummy made a loud growl, she was damn hungry and needed food to fill her empty stomach.Her throat was soggy and dry, it longed for a drip of water on it.

She opened her eyes abruptly and looked around the strange room.

It was neat bright and looked elegant.

The room was fit for royalty, she wondered where she was.

The last thing she could remember was her fainting while having a conversation with a huge birdonly for it to turn into an old lady and say it was her grandmother.

The next and last thing was she fainted.

She shrugged her shoulders and yawned sitting up on the bed edge.

** Melanie's POV **

I shrugged off my shoulders.

"must be one of my frequent nightmares”

I thought to myself as I sank my hands in my hair.

I had no idea who mounted me here.

"I see your awake... "

The familiar new voice echoed from behind me.

I flinched and hurried back on the bed in fear as I mounted to the Corner, my eyes glaring at the oldlady angrily.

The lady sighed and walked over to me with a tray in her hands, I quivered in fear.

"you need not to be afraid of me dear.. I know you've been hurt badly, really bad beyond repair andit's hard for you to trust anyone aside from yourself. I'm not asking for your trust but for you toloosened up and open up to me.

I'm truly your grandmother when I said I was... "

The old lady spoke to me in the most kind and mild voice anyone has ever used to speak to meexcept my mother of course.

"you... You.. How can I be sure your not fooling me old lady?"

I asked.

She sighed again and touched my hair gently. I shivered but let her touch me.

Somehow I felt her touch was not harmful at all and it gave me a welcoming feeling.

" this mark here is a mark every lady in our lineage has... I was born to a family of six... My father,mother where both having powers. My father was a werewolf king just like yours while my motherwas a phoenix.. I was the eldest of the children in my household, I took after my mother and wasphoenix... He was the most powerful of all dragons but has since being exiled to the immortal wolrd to guardthe net between the good and evil.

My last brother was a vampire... He still roams the human world up till date and does not plan onreturning. He has quiet a good life.

We were the cursed lineage.. We where cursed my the almighty being so that our spiritual powerswhere scattered and non of us had harmony with each other...

Right now our household is scattered...

And don't ask me of a firebird.

A firebird is a guardian bird that every phoenix has apart from his or her original soul bird.

The soul bird and the firebird are connected and bound for life such that the other can't die whilethe other one is still alive..

The old lady explained.

Somehow I was getting a clue of what she was saying.

The mark she had on her wrist was a jet feather mark.

I had the same mark, so does my mother...

I was starting to believe she was my grandmother...

Rmcold tears welled up in My eyes.

"I'm.. I'm.. A phoenix.. A phoenix princess? And I was ridiculed and called a weak girl, weaker than ahuman.

My mate rejected me the first time he set his eyes on me...

I busted my heart out and looked at the old lady with anger and untamed emotions laced on myface.

She sighed and bend her head holding my shoulders with both hands.

"I'm so sorry grand daughter.. There was nothing I could do.. My powers has already being bindedwith this desert when I decided to create a firebird for you.

I lost my powers to leave this desert for ever.

If 1 do so I would die within seconds of stepping out of the boundary.”

She muttered and pulled me into a deep hug.

I allowed myself to crash in her arms as I savoured the feeling of being loved and cared for bysomeone which I haven't had in a long time

Suddenly the old lady coughed hard and let go of me.

That was when I noticed her mouth which was now bloodied as she vomits blood on the bed."grand mother! *

I didn't know when I exclaimed and hold her by the wrist...

I was worried for the old lady.

"what's wrong with you? Are you okay?

I asked in worry...

She winced in pain and looked my direction with red fiery soft eyes..

Her red hair had began to dull out...

"it's time princess... My time on earth is up.. It's time for you to take over.. You need to be rebornwithin and twenty minutes or you can never be reborn again, you will remain weak and ugly..."Grandmother as I have began to address her said.

I felt sad.

"what... do you want to leave me when I just got to know you... Come with me let's take mother andleave to the human world! We can be happy together. "

I cooed as tears formed at the end of my eyes..

I was a extremely emotional person so I started to cry...

"am afraid we can't.. But there's something you need to know... The black witch is the overall dangeron this planet... She is forming a big disater that would shake the earth hard... It would ruinEverything we have worked for and burn it too flames if she is not stopped.

You must look for your grand uncles and beg them to join forces with you to stop her or this worldwould be in ashes in less than a while.

Kai is in the immortal world now but his humans body is not dead yet.. You must search for it andtravel to the immortal world to restore h back!!

Grand lady muttered painfully as she vomit more blood from her nostril, mouth and ears.

I was beginning to panic and quickly supported her I walked her towards the direction she asked meto take her.

It was then I realised I had being changed into a new set of warm cloths and a thick socks.

I walked her over the huge palace like hallway which was blank as not even an insect could bedetected there.

She was heavy and I was beginning to feel weak.

"are we there yet?"

I asked her in and exhausted voice..

"take the left turn and then you'll replace an alter eight next to you. "

She replied.

I did as I was told and followed the

I came to a huge temple like room with lots of statues and crafts of mighty birds.

There where a lot of strange things in the room.

Grand mother let go of me and moved towards the center.

There,she too out a large egg that was as large as that of a turkey and walked back to me with it."this is your firebid egg,you should name it and it will hatch by itself but you must do that once youare reborn..

We have less than ten minutes to reborn you.

She muttered with strenght and I found myself hurrying towards her.

I took her hands and soon before I could even blink my eyes we had disappeared and appeared inthe open dusty desert.

The atmosphere was really terrifying like the first time she was here and she sulked in her breathShe collected the large egg from me and kept it nearly in a corner.

Where it will be unharmed.

"now I'm going to create a flame which will burn us both into ashes. "

I shuddered at what she said with yes widened open.

"after that you will be reborn as the new phoenix princess known to earth.

My body will be gone and my soul will be divided into two.

I will leave behind part of my soul in this earth inside of this necklace so you should hold it tied inyour hands even if the fire will cause you pain.

Grand mother explain as I could feel the pains in her heart echo in her voice.

I too was heartbroken

I looked at her with an pale face and engulfed myself in her arms.

I cried and sobbed for God know how long until she was able to coax me to shut up.

We must hurry... This is my final goodbye to you granddaughter. Grandma loves you so much..."She muttered and kissed my forehead for five seconds.

She then slipped the jet necklace into my palm and clasped it for me.

She then closed her eyes and I could feel her fire began to burn with fury.

It burned and grow into flames which engulfed us both.

I yelled and yelled in pains as I felt my body get roasted in the flames...

The pains were excruciating and hell.

I was in a world of torment.

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggvrrrrrrrgggvghhhhht *

I yelled and I felt every single bone in my body crack broken as my body finally went numb and Iclosed my eyes to welcome the dark.

The jet necklace was still clutched in my fingers as I held it closer to myself.
