Chapter 1541 You Really Make People Envy You

Cindy sat in the co-driver's seat and she turned her head to look out of the window, not saying a word as well.

The driver had a smirk on his face and he looked as though he understood their situation.

When they reached the shooting studio, lan took the makeup box himself. As both of them walked in, there were other staff who greeted them.

They treated Cindy respectfully and addressed her as 'Ms. Selby'. Thinking back, Cindy remembered they used to just call her 'Cindy' back then.

Sure enough, after her position had changed, the others had also changed their attitude and way of speaking.

When lan was doing his makeup, Cindy waited for him. Coincidentally, the makeup artist was the same girl from when he joined the show with Sena.

Cindy remembered that this makeup artist was quite responsive to lan.

Back then, Cindy was merely on the sidelines of the drama, but now she was one of the people involved.

This time around, the makeup artist was more stable. She merely looked at lan's facial features, but sometimes her gaze shifted to Cindy for a while.

Cindy then pulled a chair over and sat next to lan as she leaned against the makeup table, scrolling through various celebrity news on her phone lazily.

Meanwhile, lan's phone was placed on the table with the screen facing upward.

After a while, the phone lit up, showing that he received a message.

As the phone was not far from Cindy, she saw the contents of the message with just a glance.

It was a message from Yulia.

Truth be told, Cindy was not surprised to see that. After taking pictures for lan last time, Yulia and lan had obviously kept in touch.

However, it was surprising that Yulia would contact him first, as it was not like her.

Logically speaking, if there were any problems at work, it would be her publisher contacting lan's company or lan himself.

Hence, Cindy could more or less confirm a few things.

Presently, lan took his phone and clicked on the message, so she did not know about it's contents.

She could only try to analyze his expression, but he was quite expressionless throughout.

And so, she didn't manage to get any information out of it.

lan did not reply, and he just shot a glance at his phone before putting it down.

Cindy did not ask about it, but the makeup artist next to them said, "Your schedule seems less busy lately."

She was definitely speaking to lan, so he replied in the affirmative.

Then, he added, "I was too occupied a while back and it was too tiring. I would like to take a break."

She just nodded without saying anything else.

After she finished with his makeup, they waited in the room for a while, as the show had not started shooting as they were waiting for other guests to arrive.

The makeup artist collected her stuff and shot a glance at Cindy. Finally, the former could not help herself and said, "You really make people envy you, Ms. Selby."

Cindy smiled upon hearing that, but she played along and did not refute her words. "Yeah, many people say the same thing."

Upon hearing that, the makeup artist pouted without replying. After she finished packing her stuff, she waited outside the room.

lan heard their conversation, but he merely stared at his phone.

After a moment of silence, Cindy said, "By the way, the pictures that you shot for the magazine cover will be coming out soon."

Without looking at her, he replied, "They have decided on which pictures to use. I think what remains is just the editing from the publisher. We'll wait for the next season to publish it immediately."

Cindy nodded in response. "I'm sure the pictures that Miss Noble has taken will turn out great. I'm looking forward to looking at them."

lan, however, merely said indifferently, "I guess. They are going to do post-editing anyway."

Compared to others, he really doesn't really care about this stuff.

However, Cindy thought that it didn't matter even if it was edited. As long as they look nice, it's fine. After the pictures are out, it might even open the door to the fashion industry for him.

In less than a few minutes, some guests came out from outside and lan stood up to greet them.

Among the guests, lan was the one with the least experience, so they were all considered as his seniors.

At that moment, one of the guests, who was older, shot a glance at Cindy after he shook hands with lan. "Your girlfriend is quite decent. She gave up on so much to be with you, so you'd better treasure her."
