A while later, lan replied, "I'm not stuck in the past."

He wasn't defending himself because what he said was the truth. Indeed, he wasn't caught up with the past since he hadn't thought about Sophia for ages now.

This was why he was frustrated with himself.

After listening to him, Logan sighed. "When I was talking with Sophia before, I could see that she was blaming herself. She felt that she had wasted a lot of your time, so she really hoped that you could start a new life. Even though I've never met your assistant before, if she is a nice girl, I will still give you my blessing. As you can see, all of us are supportive of you two, so why don't you give it a shot?"

He quickly rushed to Cindy's side and asked, "What happened?"

Just as she was about to say something, she immediately blushed after looking at him. Then, she instantly averted her gaze."I-It's nothing."

Then, lan realized that he only had a towel wrapped around his waist and nothing else.

He also felt slightly awkward, but it wasn't the priority at the moment as he looked at the floor. "Is it hot water?"

Cindy replied in the affirmative, but back was still facing him.

He speedily went to the sink and retrieved some cold water to pour on her foot.

After removing her socks, he could see that the instep of her foot was now burning red.

Then, he poured the cold water on the wound several times before he finally helped her to sit on the couch.

In the meantime, Cindy kept her head down, refusing to look at him.

Actually, lan had also felt awkward. So, the moment she sat down, he immediately returned to his room and changed into something decent before coming back.

There was a medical kit in the house that had everything but ointment.

Cindy had prepared it, but because she probably hadn't expected something like this to happen, she didn't buy a bottle of ointment.

Therefore, lan took an ice bag from the fridge and handed it to her. "You can use this for now. I'll go and buy some ointment."

"No need for that." She was a little embarrassed. "This will work just fine."

He immediately furrowed his brows again and warned, "Don't take this too lightly. It'll be troublesome if this leaves a permanent scar."

As he already wasn't in a good mood today, he couldn't help but sound a bit irritated when he talked to her, which made him look a tad bit scary.

Therefore, she quickly kept her mouth shut.

After he left the house, he trotted all the way to a pharmacy outside the community and returned home with the ointment.

In the meantime, Cindy was seated on the couch with the ice bag on her foot. The ice bag was so cold that it was able to absorb all the pain on the instep of her foot.

However, she couldn't help but remember how lan had rushed over to help her while being merely clad in a towel wrapped around his waist.

That image itself was too much for her mind to handle.

When lan returned, he quickly squatted on the floor and placed her foot on his knee. Then, he applied the ointment on her bit by bit.

As for Cindy, she felt a little embarrassed by his conduct. I can do this myself. I actually don't need someone else to take care of me because of this.
