Chapter 2053 Men Can Also Be Very Petty Sometimes

lan went over and placed his hand on her belly before giving it a gentle rub. "I can see that you ate a lot just now. It looks as though you have a baby."

Cindy lifted her arm and slapped the back of his hand. "Stop spouting nonsense."

He moved to a comfortable position next to her and said, "Let's say that you actually have one right now. What should we do next?"

Cindy didn't have a clue what they should do, since she was unclear about her future with lan. Indeed, she wanted to be together with him, but she didn't know how their future would work out.

After all, with lan's identity, she couldn't have a say on what they should do next.

In the end, it all depended on how lan wanted to arrange their future.

After lying there for a while, they received a call from Sophia on lan's phone.

She told them that John was already awake, so they were going back. After all, they had a kid at home whom they missed.

At first, lan and Cindy wanted to go over and see them off, but Sophia told them that they already called a cab at the hotel entrance and were about to leave, so he didn't need to do that.

Sophia even jokingly said, "I think it'll be a little awkward if you send us away, given our relationship. There's no need for that."

lan had already gotten up but after giving it a thought, he sat back down. "Alright. Be careful on the way back."

They didn't talk much on the phone because lan could hear John urging Sophia to leave on the other end. He kept on telling her to call home quickly and ask how the child was doing.

Listening to him, lan wanted to laugh. How can I not tell that he is being careful with me? I can't believe that he is still defensive toward me at this point. He is much more petty than most men.

After ending the call, lan put his phone down and thought about it. As he could no longer hold back his laughter, he chuckled.

Listening to his laughter, Cindy turned around and looked at him curiously. "What is it? What are you laughing at?"

He shook his head. "It's nothing much. I just feel that men can be very petty sometimes too."

The moment his words came out, Cindy immediately thought of Gary.

She and Gary also had an awkward break up in the end but deep down, she felt that it shouldn't have ended that way. At the same time, she couldn't understand what Gary was offended with.

According to her understanding of Gary, he was actually a forgiving person, so he shouldn't express such an attitude to her. Not long after Logan and Sophia left with their families, Sean also made a call to them.

Of course, he too was leaving, and he didn't want lan to send him off either.

Sean was alone and he left much more casually than the other two families. When he made the call to lan, he was already sitting in a cab.

He also knew that Leah came over to the hotel today, so he didn't forget to mention it on the phone.

lan hummed in response. "Logan is now dealing with the situation. I don't know much about what's going on, but I'll ask about the situation on his side later on."

Sean couldn't care less whether Logan would take it too far with Leah since Sean didn't have any sentimental feelings for her. Even if Logan crossed the line with her, he wouldn't feel a thing.

After all, it was only a matter of time until that woman got herself in trouble given her current behavior.

Sean's voice sounded pleasant as he said, "When he replies to you, don't forget to tell me about it. I also want to know how he did it."

Naturally, lan knew that Sean wanted to watch the drama unfold, so he agreed with a smile. "Okay. I'll send you a message by then."

Just like that, the two of them ended the call. Ian then went over to prepare tomorrow's outfit before taking out the documents that he prepared in advance.
