Chapter 86 The Money (1)

What, what?

Meredith felt like her ears were just decorations.

She looked at her son and tightly hugged her backpack as she ran upstairs.

I came directly to Valerie’s room and gently knocked on her door.

“Val. it’s me. Derek. Mica asked me to bring you something. Are you available to open the door?”

In the room, Valerie, who was struggling, looked at the computer and phone. Upon hearing a knock on the door, she quickly went to open it.

Then Meredith opened her mouth and watched Derek enter Valerie’s room with a faint smile on his face.

She was shocked for a while in the living room, suddenly snapped out of it and placed her hand on her chin, lost in thought.

“Hmm? Meredith, what’s wrong? Don’t overthink it, there will always be more solutions than difficulties.”

Galen saw that Meredith still had a heavy expression on her face in the living room.

I thought she was still worrying about Valerie’s matter.

He stepped forward and comfortingly patted Meredith’s shoulder to reassure her.

“No, Dad, I was thinking about something else…”

“Regarding work?”

“No, I was thinking about Derek.”

Cialen raised an eyebrow

“What happened to Derek?”

This was also what Meredith wanted to know.

“Dad, how has Derek been behaving toward Ms. Horton these past few days?”

Did you say this?

Galen got excited.

He chuckled, and this chuckle made Meredith’s heart start pounding again.

“Derek? He saw a little girl in the garden early in the morning and directly gave her his own coat and shoes to wear. It was very kind of him.”

At this point, Galen also understood what Meredith was contemplating.

He laughed.

“You don’t have to worry; Valerie is a very well–behaved good child. You saw how she stood up for Calvin just now, she’s clever!”

Derek was willing to spend time with her, which was exactly what you wanted to see, right?

“I hope he could communicate with children of the same age.”

Meredith glanced at Galen strangely

Is the direction of hope the same as the direction I expected in the past?

Meredith thought for a while again and finally gave up.

Valerie was a good girl.

The son was also a good son.

He was happy, and that’s all that matters.

As memories flooded her mind, Meredith’s face turned slightly pale and her expression became desolate.

The child now, she had no demands, only wanted him to live happily.

Adjusting her mindset, she continued with her work at hand, making herself stop thinking about those things.

Derek entered Valerie’s room and gently took out the medicine packet prepared for her by Mica.
