The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning by Max Charming Chapter 666

The maid said, “The lady worked hard on that meal. Throwing it out would be such a waste, right?” Zach shot her a stern glance. “Just do what I say,” he said curtly.

Trying to hide her nervousness, the maid nodded and headed downstairs to clean up. Meanwhile, the other maids got busy preparing another meal. After sipping the fruit juice Zach gave her, Madelyn slowly awakened and gazed at the ceiling.

“How do you feel?” Zach asked.

Madelyn paused. “I’m moving out tomorrow.”

His expression became stern. “You know I won’t let that happen. Why can’t you just deal with this? I promise you’ll be left alone. It’ll just be me.”

“You’re pushing me to the edge,” Madelyn fired back. “I might do something we’ll both regret. I could kill you, Zach.”

Zach gently caressed her forehead. ” Once you’re better, you can chase any dream you want. You want to paint? I’ll set up a studio just for you.” Zach’s voice had an unusual softness tonight, as if he was a different person.

“You still don’t get it? I’m never going to be with you, Zach! I’d choose anyone over you. If you care at all, go back to Yvonne and recognize how deeply she feels for you.”

Madelyn closed her eyes, avoiding any further interaction with Zach. He had made choices on her behalf, leaving her feeling powerless to change his decisions. The sting of his past betrayals lingered, making trust almost impossible for her. Although she tried to move on, the pain from her past was always present. Being near him felt suffocating.

Previously, Zach’s lack of attention gave Madelyn the chance to escape. But now, he was determined to keep her close.

Zach’s anger seemed to disappear when he looked at Madelyn. “You’ve got three days to think this over,” he said. His voice was gentle, though a cold glint in his eyes suggested otherwise. “I won’t be at Southern Haven Villas during that time. But if I don’t get the answer I want, Madelyn, you know what I can do, don’t you?”

Madelyn remained silent, a clear sign of her resistance. She understood Zach’s strategies all too clearly. He was attempting to corner her, but she would not be easily swayed. She refused to be forced into anything against her will.

Before heading out, Zach kissed Madelyn’s forehead and closed the door. Turning to the bodyguard outside, he said, “Keep an eye on her. Don’t let her leave Southern Haven Villas.”

The bodyguard nodded. “Understood.”

Zach drove away, leaving Madelyn feeling trapped. During the next few days, she often found herself gazing from her balcony at what used to be a neighboring villa but was now transformed into a backyard. She felt uneasy, but she took some comfort in having her phone. She hurriedly searched online for information about the Arnold family.
