The Second Act Revenge (Oneida and Jackson) -
The Second Act 408
Chapter 408
And that large door stood wide open, directly facing Oneida.
Oneida stared silently at it for a while before slowly walking inside. After she walked in, she slightly pushed it back, leaving it ajar. Inside, it was very dark with no sunlight or other lights. Oneida thought it was necessary to replace the light switch first. She fumbled on the wall for a while but failed to replace one.
She guessed the light switch wasn't on the wall.
Where would it be then?
Oneida narrowed her eyes slightly with a grave look.
She had good night vision.
In the darkness, she could still move deftly.
But to get a full view of the office, she still needed the light switch.
After pacing around the office for a while, she finally found something.
She made out the outlines of a table.
On the table, there was a medium-sized vase.
There was nothing in the vase, no flowers or water.
But there seemed to be two ropes hanging on the vase.
These two ropes didn't match the verse.
Oneida stepped forward subconsciously and pulled the rope downward.
Bang!
The office suddenly was lit up.
The light over Oneida's head was on.
Oneida withdrew her hand and looked around silently.
This was a very spacious office.
However, the decoration was not as monotonous and serious as a random office. It was very tasteful.
There were flowers, fish tanks, and golden lamps with warm light
The desk was made of beautiful purple wood.
There was a pure
white wind chime on the table.

Chapter 408
The office was spacious and peat.
There was just a simple desk and a reception area.
However, there were no windows.
Yes, it was a spacious office without a window.
So it was quite dark.
However, the warm light overhead was unexpectedly too bright and even a little harsh.

From the moment Oneida walked into this office, she immediately checked whether there were surveillance cameras.
As she expected, there were no surveillance cameras.
It seemed that Evan was a very private person. There were no surveillance cameras in his office.
Rumor had it that Evan carried the key to the treasure vault at all times.
However, this was not necessarily true.
Oneida quietly looked around.
She thought maybe Evan had hidden the key in this office.
It was possible.
It could only be inside the drawers of the desk or the cabinet by the wall.
Oneida didn't hesitate. She directly walked to the desk, opened the drawers, and then the cabinet. She rummaged through them.
She didn't care if she would leave a trail.
At this moment, her top priority was to replace the key.
Unfortunately, Oneida rummaged through them but failed to replace the key.
She didn't replace anything useful.
The drawers and cabinet were just like ornaments.
Oneida lowered her eyes with a solemn look.
She pinched her fingers with mysterious emotions churned inside her.
She thought, 'Actually, now think about it.
'If I were Evan, I wouldn't hide such an important thing here,
'So, he carries the key around all the time?
'If so, it will be much more difficult to steal it!'
Oneida didn't want to do it when Evan was present.
After all, he was extraordinary.
