Chapter 80

Oneida, however, looked calm as if she was not the one who had gotten the compliment.

After saying that, Tobias was ready to leave.

The Chaser family wanted to keep him for dinner, but he did not want to stay longer and left quickly.

After Tobias left, Hazel could not help touching those precious collections. Nathan also smiled brightly. "I didn't expect it to be a blessing in disguise..."

Oneida suddenly stepped forward and grabbed those antique collections.

"You!" Nathan's eyes widened, and he was furious. "Put it down! As a child at such a young age, you have no manners at all. Are you allowed to take these things?" Oneida did not let go of them.

She smiled and said, "He came to apologize to me in person, so these gifts are for me."

"Nonsense! Nathan could not help shouting, "Since these things have been sent here, how could they belong to you alone?"

Oneida parted her lips and replied, "Okay, let's ask Mr. Tobias Lindt again if these gifts are for you or me?"

Nathan's face darkened after he heard that.

He did not expect his granddaughter to use Tobias to suppress him.

What she had said made sense.

Nathan was speechless.

Of course, he would not fight with his teenage granddaughter for stuff.

Oneida managed to take those antiques away eventually.

She was not interested in those things.

However, she did not want the rest of the Chaser family to get all those for nothing!

When everything was over, she was going back to Garrison Mansion with Jackson, and Lucas and the others were leaving the manor and going back to the mansion in Quakersville. "Oneida, are you okay in the Lindt family? Did you get bullied?" Before leaving, Edmund ran to her and looked at her worriedly.

Oneida could not help rubbing the short hair on his head and said with a smile, "I'm fine."

"I'm glad you're fine." Edmund breathed a sigh of relief. "When I heard that you were taken away, I had no choice but to call my brother-in-law and ask him to save you..." Oneida paused and asked, "Did you call Jackson here?"

Edmund nodded. "What's wrong?"

Opeida shook her head and smiled. "Nothing..."

She did not expect that what Edmund had done would almost make her overturned by someone's anger.

Then, Edmund got in the car and followed Lucas.

Jennifer did not go home with them.

She had a date later. She would go to the exhibition with Christopher.

Therefore, she stayed in the manor and waited for Christopher to pick her up.

Just as Oneida walked out of the gate of the Chaser residence, a luxurious Maybach drove over and stopped in front of her.

The door of the car was opened.

A tall and handsome man came out of the car.

It was Christopher.

He wore a dark gray trench coat and looked elegant.

An indifferent look was shown on his handsome face.

It seemed that he had noticed Oneida in front of him. His unpredictable gaze landed on Oneida through his gold-rimmed glasses.

Oneida's footsteps halted, too.

For the first time in her current life, she met Christopher face to face.

Christopher, the man she once loved and hated, was standing in front of her now.

Oneida clenched her fists subconsciously.

Christopher also looked at Oneida intently.

After the welcome party, he still had some strange dreams.

In the dreams, there was no longer a strong fire, but a girl lying on the bed. He could not see her face clearly, but he could hear her clearly. The girl begged him with an unusually sad voice, saying, "Christopher, stop drawing my blood. Don't..." The voice was very similar to Oneida's.

Perhaps, that was Oneida's voice.
