The Second Hand Man

Today was the10th Anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. The National9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero was dedicated and will be open to the public fromtomorrow.

It has drivenhome for me the fact that the power I wield due to my knowledge of the futureis slowly dwindling. I liken that Knowledge to an enormous block of granite,and Time to a persistent hammer and chisel.

Each day Timehas been chipping away at that block. Each day a little piece being removed.

On August 17,2014, the final piece will fall. After that day I will be on par with the restof humanity – Ignorant and uncertain.

Strangelyenough, I look forward to that great unknown with both excitement andtrepidation. Much like an adventurer about to journey into uncharted territory.

In my firstlife, by this time my body was already ravaged with the life-robbing diseasethat would have eventually taken me if I had not completed and used theConsciousness Projector.

But now Ifeel as healthy and as strong as a horse. I have been leading a far healthierlifestyle than previous.

This includesmy diet, regular exercise and applying far greater discretion in my choice ofsexual partners.

Who knows howfar I will venture into that uncharted territory before I finally decide toonce again use the power of immortality that the Consciousness Projectorprovides.

I still haveone major concern; in my first life, the Consciousness Projector was nearcompletion by this time. The only missing component was the Neural InterfaceTransmitter (Interphase Chip) that Steve Ferran had managed to perfect based ona similar device that the German company Westronik will produce early in 2013.

As I nolonger have either the support or friendship of Steve. I will have to figureout the Interface component by other means. To this end I have already startedgathering the world’s greatest minds in this field from all around the worldinto my employ.

It may takelonger to perfect the device this time round, but as I have already mentioned,I am healthy and as strong as a horse.
