The Shadow Alpha
CHAPTER TEN

Just as I neared the border, Jake informed me of their arrival, but I had long sensed themapproaching. As I got closer their scents and voices became more prominent, Devin's scent mademe feel a little light headed at first, but I shoved the feeling down as soon as it surfaced.

Upon my arrival I saw both packs stood facing each other, Papa Jamie was flanked by Jake and Drisand the rest stood behind them. My Scarlet Red Audi R8 came to a halt beside Jake's Jeep, in fullview of my old pack.

“Is that your Alpha?"Devin asked, looking in the direction of my car.

"You'll see.” Jake answered stoically.

Sucking in a deep breath, I stuck one leg out the door, sexily showing off my toned legs and slowly Ipeeled myself out of the car, putting on an extra show for them.

I didn't have to look to see that all eyes were on me, I could feel the glares and lustful stares hot onmy skin. I removed my black aviators and shook my thick black locks out before running my fingersthrough it. Once I was satisfied with my dramatic entrance I strutted to Papa Jamie's side and stooddirectly in front of Devin Summers.

His eyes locked with mine and I could feel the strength of the mate bond gnawing at me, but Iforced it down. Devin eyed me with annoyance and lust prominent in his gorgeous grey eyes."Alpha Devin, this is my daughter.” Papa Jamie said with pride in his voice

Devin gave him a weird look, but turned to me instead. Before he could speak I cut him off with asurveying look from head to toe.

He was still as hot as hell if not more; his body was more built and his face more chiselled thanbefore. He looked all man and sue me for replaceing it sexy.

Damn mate bond.

My eyes were void of emotion as I looked at the pack that flanked him and back into his stormygrey eyes. I stuck out my hand with a smirk on my face, “Welcome to the Blue Moon Pack.”

He grasped my hand and shocks ran up my arm and through my body as it did his causing his eyesto widen, but before he could react I continued.

“l am Alpha Allison Trust Wells.” My tone oozed confidence and mirth.

I heard a few gasps, but the biggest reaction I got was from Devin whose eyes widened in shock.

“I am sorry to hear about what happened to your homes, but I trust your stay with us will becomfortable. Now, if you will follow me, we have much still to do.” Without waiting for a response, Iturned on my heel and walked back to my car.

All the way to the pack house everyone was bubbling about my entrance and introduction, it mademe smile. I reached the pack houses ahead of them so I leaned up against my car and waited foreveryone to arrive. They all stood wide eyed staring in awe at the two mansions in front of them,both pack houses were works of art. I had them built shortly after I took over as Alpha; the originalpack house was refurbished and extended and an identical one was built next to it with a hugedining hall that joined the two houses.

“The mansion to the left had one hundred and fifty rooms, of which ninety are available for the packto occupy on the second and third floors. The one on the right has two hundred rooms, of whichfour are available. There are people waiting inside to guide you so; pick a room and get settled,dinner is served at 6pm sharp in the large dining hall that extends between the two houses, if youare late it's your own loss. There will be a meeting in the backyard at 8pm and I expect everyonepresent. Get settled and I will address you all properly later.” They nodded mechanically and filedinto the house with their luggage, no doubt on Devin’s order.

The last five people were Devin, Hunter, Justin and Devin's parents. I gave them a brief nodindicating them to follow me.

"On the first floor we have the Kitchen, Drawing room, Game room, TV room, Gym, Dining hall andMy Office.” I pointed in the general direction of each room as I mentioned it and stepped into theelevator with them following suit, “On the second floor we have ninety two rooms, occupied bypack members. The third floor is reserved for executive pack members; it is out of bounds to anyoneand is accessed strictly by a code. The fourth floor has ninety rooms and is where your rooms willbe. The fifth floor has ninety two rooms.”

We stepped off the elevator and walked through the hallway towards their rooms, “Each of therooms are sound proof, are of equal comfort and have their own en-suite bathrooms. Pick one andbe down in the dining hall at six. You will replace the staircase at the end of this hallway; it leads directlyto the dining hall.” I gestured to the four rooms and walked back to the elevator without givingthem time to respond.

As soon as got outside I took off towards the forest for a run; Shadow was getting restless in theirpresence and needed to calm her down. No matter how much things have changed, how muchstronger I have become and despite me forgiving them, there will always be a part of me that hatesand fears them; the little girl inside me that they broke beyond repair.

Here I was helping the pack who stole my childhood, the pack that labelled me a murderer, a packwho's Alpha saw me as an unworthy mate.

Damn, I'm a really good person for doing this!

I ran until it was time for dinner then headed back.
