CHAPTER FIFTEEN

WHAT?!

Familiar heat flowed through my veins

"Handed over?” my voice boomed slightly, she nodded meekly and continued before I could reply.“When I was eighteen years old I found my mate, I was so happy that I had found him when hecame to my pack for pack business, that I gave myself up to him immediately. Not very long afterthat I found out that I was pregnant. He stayed with me at my pack for the duration of thepregnancy being everything a loving mate was supposed to be. I felt like the luckiest girl alive sonaturally when he asked for us to go back to his pack for the birth of our child I readily agreed.What I was not expecting was to be dumped in a motel room, just days away from my due date."Eventually my baby was born and all the sadness I felt vanished, when I held him in my arms I feltwhole again, but it was a short lived happiness, because a few hours later he was taken from me andI was being shoved into the trunk of a car. I was taken to the rogue settlement and thrown into acell.

“They were supposed to kill me, but their leader took a liking to me and said he would let me liveon the condition that I obey him. I had hope that if I lived I would one day escape and replace my babyand take him back, so I agreed to his conditions.

"I found out later that my mate was apart of their plan to banish pack life and that he was in factusing his position as an alpha to increase the numbers of the rogue population. As the years wenton, more people were brought to the prison and fed lies after their memories were wiped.

"After many failed attempts at escaping over the years, I lost hope of ever leaving that place, butafter Hannah and Asher escaped I decided to take the girls and give it one last chance.” Therevelation was huge for me, I knew that they had to be getting help from someone, I just neverexpected it to be an alpha.

“You seem to be quite knowledgeable on their plans. We have been trying for ages to pin pointtheir locations and figure out their strategy, it would be very beneficial for us if you shared whateverinformation you had with us. Starting with who the traitors to our kind are.” Her eyes grew fierce.

“I will do anything to see those filthy creatures fall for everything they put us through and as for myex-mate; he deserves to suffer for taking my child from me.” Her face held hatred for the man whoput her in her own personal hell so many years ago.

We sat speaking for a while longer until we heard a terrified scream from the room next door, weshot up and ran out of the room to the one occupied by Jake's mate. She was standing at the cornerof the room looking fearfully at Jake who was trying to calm her down, but she seemed to listen“Rosie, honey. It's okay, they are not going to hurt us. Alpha Allison saved us from the rogues.”Rosie's eyes darted to me where I stood with a hand on a very tense Jake, when her eyes landed onhim she recoiled once more.

I stepped forward approaching warily, “Hello Rosie, my name is Allison. This guy here is my bestfriend and Beta; Jake. Jake won't hurt you sweetie, he is your mate.” I said softly and her eyes dartedto him and widened.

She relaxed considerably at the soft loving look in his eyes, “Y-You're my m-mate?” she stutteredsoftly sounding awed. Jake nodded with a smile and stepped forward until he stood directly in frontof her. He stared into her beautiful hazel eyes and cupped her cheek gently, her eyes closedinstinctively as she leaned into his touch, no doubt feeling the spark of the mate bond.

The tension left her body almost instantaneously; she let out a content sigh and took a fraction of astep closer to him, “Do you feel that?” she nodded and they stared into each other's eyes, lost intheir own world.

Tatiana and I's gazes locked and we smiled before retreating slowly leaving the two alone. I closedthe door behind us and we shared a small laugh, “We should check on the other two.” She gave acurt nod and we entered the first room where Dristan laid awake stroking his mates face.

“Good morning Dris.” He looked up and smiled, I saw the mix of happiness and sadness in his eyes,but I didn't comment.

“Has she woken up yet?” he nodded while placing her head on the pillow and climbing off the bed."She woke up about an hour ago, she was afraid at first, but after I explained everything to her wetalked a little, but she fell asleep soon afterwards.” He recounted glimpsing at her through thecorner of his eye every few seconds.

I smiled and nodded, “Dris this is Tatiana. Tatiana, my Theta Dristan.” I introduced the two and theyshook hands.

"We will leave you two now, when she wakes up again make sure that Doctor Winters has a look ather and if she gives you the go ahead you can take her back to the pack house. I will have someonebring some clothes for all of you.” He nodded curtly and we left.

Doctor Winters was already in her office when we got back to Tatiana's room so she came in andchecked on her. She gave her strict instructions to eat more and then let her go. Turns out she hadalready organised clothes for the women so after Tatiana changed we walked together to the packhouse.

It was 6:30 on a Sunday morning so there was a very slim chance that anyone was awake already,“Come on I will show you to your room and you can freshen up and have a shower, I will organisefor more clothes for the three of you until you're ready to get some new ones.” She smiledgratefully.

“Thank you Alpha, this means so much to me- to us.” tears formed in her eyes so I hugged her.“Don’t even mention it Tatiana, it is me who should be thanking you. You gave me my family back.”she shook her head but before she could say anything we reached the room that I allocated for her.Three of the pack members volunteered to move to the other pack house to accommodate for thenew arrivals yesterday, for which I was glad. The rooms were on the second floor at the verybeginning of the hallway, they were not as big as the rooms on the fourth floor, but they were cosy.After agreeing to meet later, I left and walked to the kitchen.

Surprisingly mom, dad and Tia were awake and having breakfast in the kitchen along with someother pack members when I entered, I smiled at the scene before me and remembered that I hadgood news for them.

“Mommy, Daddy, Princess Ana, I have something to tell you all!” they all laughed at my enthusiasm.“Well tell us then!” Mom teased just as enthusiastically causing me to roll my eyes.

“I met a woman by the name of Tatiana Grace today.” Mom and dad's eyes widened

“Really, where?” I laughed at Ana's confused expression.

“She was one of the rogues that I saved yesterday, along with the twins; Rosie and Lilly.”

“You're letting them join the pack, right?” I gave her a “duh’ look and she returned it with a sheepishone. “Sorry, of course you are. I am so glad they were able to escape the wretched place.” Momteared up a little causing dad to gather her in his arms.

“She is in her room on the second floor right now, the first one on the left if you'd like to see her.Perhaps you could take her some clothes and toiletries till they can go shopping for their own.”mom nodded and walked out probably to retrieve some things to take to Tatiana.

“Where is mommy going, I am right here?" Tia asked cutely making dad and I chuckle, dad beganexplaining to her how there was someone else that had the same name as her and is in fact thewoman she was named after.
