The Supreme God of Martial Arts -
Chapter 123 A Taste of Power (Part Two0
While the monster had a thick layer of coat as well as a rough andresilient skin all over, its chest area had very little protection. It gave into Austin's perfectly timed and powerful attack.
The venomous substance that leaked from its mouth now gushed outfrom the monster's chest. Its blood was poisonous.
"Was that it? Come on!"
Unaffected by the deathly ooze that spurted from the monster's chest,Austin continued to pound and beat the monster's bosom.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
The punches he threw resounded. His movements were fast and fluid, and the monster was simply outclassed.
Like heavy rain, the punches he threw struck the monster consistently. With every strike he threw, the monster took a step backwards. It tookall the energy the monster could muster, while nothing could protect itfrom the power that emanated from Austin’s fists.
These third level beasts were known for their tough exterior. Not even asword from a trained and a skilled hunter could scratch its skin
But Austin’s punches were different. A single blow could hurl a full-grown bear sweeping it from the ground. His punches could tearthrough skin, break bones, and damage vital organs.
"Fascinating!" said Austin, feeling amazed and excited as now he knewhow powerful the skill and Overlord Body-refining Formula were.
The barrage of punches came in perpetually, not giving the monsterany chance to recover or to escape.
After another salvo of punches, the monster fell viciously to the ground. It lost any power, let alone any will, to fight back. Ultimately, themonster fell the same way the trees were leveled down. It lay on theground, lifeless.
After he saw what had become of the third level monster, Austin gave aroar of excitement. "Ha-ha! Level three monster? And who wouldexpect this would be so easy?"
Austin felt a rush of excitement taking over him rather than exhaustion.Like leveling up, his strength grew, and his power increased.
Each punch he threw had the force equivalent to the weight of five full-grown adult males. Hence, the feature and the attributes that thesethird level of beasts were so known for did very little to protect thebeast.
As Austin stood triumphantly over the dead monster's body, therecame a loud and deep noise.
The earth beneath him trembled and the felled carcass of the monstershook. The trees swayed and the mountains quivered. His senses toldhim a far larger behemoth was approaching. The sound and thevibrations he felt hinted him that the advancing titan was far larger thanthe monster lying at the bottom of his foot.
To his surprise, a fiery bull appeared in front of him. Its level was higherthan the violent ape and its head and shoulders were stronger than thefelled monster.
He immediately recognized the monstrosity in front of him. It was alevel four beast. Things started to get interesting. Using his unnaturalspeed, he moved from the monster and away from the forest. He knewa fiery bull wasn't something he could easily mess with, and he still hadnot mastered every skill to confidently face this fourth level monster.Fiery bulls were the toughest monsters belonging to the fourth level. And they were known for their diabolic nature, unpredictability, andinfernal savagery. Even a medium stage human master from the EarthRealm wouldn't stand a chance against this Mephistophelian entity.Austin was wise as he was strong. His fists might have the forcecomparable to the weight of five men but he knew well enough that hehad a thin chance of defeating such a monster. It was in his bestinterest to stay away than to attempt to slay this demonic beast.
For Austin, reaching the Energy Gathering Realm meant very little. Evenif he regained all the power he spent pounding the level three ape, itstill wouldn't be enough to defeat a level four beast.
He spent the whole day trying to leave the fiery bull's abode. He knewthere could be a chance of running into one while he roamed thisregion.
Finally, Austin gave a sigh of relief when he reached the region wherelevel three monsters wandered. He was in a place where he could easilyfend off any threat.
While level three beasts were still considered a force to be reckonedwith, Austin now had the power and the strength to easily beat most ofthe third level monster beasts.
Austin just set foot on Energy Gathering Realm's seventh level, a regionhe was really optimistic about. Dueling with level four monsters couldbe a reckless move, but he knew well that it was a high-risk and high-reward kind of situation.
With skills like Twin Shadow Blades, the Grand Pagoda SummoningSkill, the Wind-commanding Skill, and his new-found strength, Austinhad the right skill-set to brave this expanse. He could easily defeat mostof these savages
Two men walked the mountain path. Both wore ferocious and violentfaces, and they carried their experiences in their expressions.
One of the men said, "He wandered into the realm of level threediabolic beasts! He even dared to walk into the realm of level threemonsters!"
"That must have been some kind of death wish!" uttered the other."Or, maybe he's just too afraid to die!" issued the other man. "He knewthat the people from our group, the Blood Wolf Team, are after him. Iheard there are also six or seven more from his sect who're after hishead."
The other man replied, "Yes, it could be. He just reached level seven ofthe Energy Gathering Realm. He might be afraid too many enemies areafter him and he had no choice but to enter the realms where the levelfour monsters wander off."
"Even masters from the Earth Realm will replace it hard to evade level fourmonsters, let alone escape the region these monsters held as theirdwelling."
"Precisely," answered the other. "There's no use tracking and huntingAustin now. He is as good as dead.”
"Getting out of there must be hard, even for a cunning one like Austin.”He continued, "The celestial energy ginseng is far more important thanthat rat!"
"I never imagined there would be treasure sleeping in these mountains.Seven hundred years of celestial energy ginseng in the GrandDesolation Mountain!" he persuaded. And in a deep compelling voicehe said, "If all five of us work together to get the celestial energyginseng, the benefits we will reap will be more than replaceing that scumbag."
They continued heading towards the northwest direction as they spokeand were moving in fast pace.
By the road side stood an ancient tree. It was large enough for four tofive individuals to surround it. It was the perfect backdrop for lurkingbehind the shadows. The large trunk provided a platform that couldsupport the weight of several full-sized adults and the leaves and thebranches of the tree could easily hide anything behind it. A figure stoodmotionless behind the overgrowth from among the branches. The manwas intently watching and keenly observing something.
It was Austin. He overheard the loud barking of the two men on theroad and recognized them from the Blood Wolf Team. He knew theywere after him, so he quickly hid in the shadows.
His spiritual sense heightened his ability to hear. By fixating on theirconversation, Austin was able to make out what the two men weretalking about.
Austin was quite impressed. "How did people from the Blood Wolf Teammanage to get information about my location and my whereabouts? They must have superior tracking skills to even know I've been to therealm of level four beasts!" He wondered.
The people from the Blood Wolf Team had a deadly encounter withAustin several days back in the area of level two monsters. From here,Austin gained access to the area of level three beasts from where hetailed Lois and the others to where the level four diabolic monsterslived. All the people of the Blood Wolf Team knew of this tale.
There it was. The celestial energy ginseng!
And not just any kind, it was a 700-year-old celestial energy ginseng! He couldn't believe it. There was fire burning from Austin’s eyes as heheard the news.
