The Supreme God of Martial Arts
Chapter 139 Start To Break Through The Array

Austin rushed to the northeast part of the array with Fanny.

A few minutes later, Fanny warned Austin, "Slow down, we are at theboundary point of the array now. One more step forward and we will beunder attack.”

Fanny's warning made Austin stop him in his tracks.

Sensing his surroundings through his superior spiritual abilities, Austinbecame aware of some differences. Something was certainly oddaround them.

So Austin began to survey his environment. There were some stonesand trees out in the front, nothing out of the ordinary that lookedsuspicious.

"Look there, there is something waving and twisting. That is the form ofthe array's energy.”

Austin looked to where Fanny pointed. As Fanny had said, right in frontof them, towards the left hand corner, something was contorted aswaves came out of it. “Thank god for Fanny, or else I wouldn't havenoticed this in the slightest, ' thought Austin, "Arrays were awe-inspiringjust to look at.’

"How should we break through it?"

Austin straight away asked the most direct question possible. He didn'twant to waste the limited time they had.

"Look at that row of trees, surrounded by the thorn bush. There are sixtrees in the center of the grassy patch, but none of them are realActually, they are the base of the array.

Once we successfully cut down these trees, we could break through thearray.”

Austin didn't tarry and he summoned his Twin Shadow Blades to strikethe six trees down in a trice. As their trunks were just as thick as a largebow! in width, this shouldn't take too long.

But before the Twin Shadow Blades could hit the trees, something inthe array got disturbed.

All at once, the sky was as dark as the night. Overcast with innumerableclouds, it was as if a black blanket had been thrown over them.

As Austin and Fanny glanced at the mysterious twisted contortion, thickblack fog clouded their eyes and in fact, the whole area. Though nonecould see, but balls that burst into smog were tossed high into air.

It was as if a land of haze had appeared mysteriously that was gettingfaintly lit up. The light's source was illusory souls with red eyes whopoured in from the skies and land and screeched sadly and shrilly, giving goosebumps to anyone who could hear.

The souls cried in a low droning voice and lunged at the Twin ShadowBlades to stop it in its flight path and prevent the falling of the siximportant trees.

These souls were the Soul Collection Array's most important part of theattack.

Since the souls were illusory, when the Twin Shadow Blades hit them, ithit nothing but air. That's to say, the Twin Shadow Blades could do noharm to the souls.

But these souls with their sad, cruel, relentless and hostile energy madeeveryone low-spirited unable to do anything. In fact, everyone's energybegan to convert into dark power which then twined around the TwinShadow Blades to stop it from moving forward.

Seeing his plan fumble, Austin knitted his eyebrows.

A thought crossed his mind, and in a jiffy, Austin jumped forward togather power in his hands.

"Get out of here!"

His voice was as loud as the thunder in the sky. He threw a punch thatmade all the dust and stones around him come together whirling andstirring up a storm. Mighty forces flooded out from Austin's body andbegan to attack those souls with a fierce energy.

The storm whistled and howled, echoing Austin's fury. Suddenly, Austindrew his fist in the air and immediately all souls got blown away. Theblack fog dissipated, and in a second, the sky was clear again.

Austin seized this window of brief triumph and started to control theTwin Shadow Blades with his thoughts. Now the Twin Shadow Bladescharged at the six trees as a red dagger and a black dagger madecircles in their motion, cutting the trees to bits. All six trees shookceaselessly as a branch here a trunk there marred their natural balance. The enemy's rebuttal was to come anytime now. Austin’s storm mighthave blown all the souls away for the mean time but no harm came tothem. The souls were not of flesh and blood, so neither swords nor fistscould bring any damage.

As Austin’s storm began to weaken, the souls too streamed back in thefirmament.

The skies darkened once again and the suffocating fog returned, lettingnot a single ray of sunshine in.

Soon enough, heinous shrill screams echoed queerly in the fog. Manysouls shuttled back and forth in the dark mist. They were like devilshidden in the darkness of night. Their red eyes were pretty gruesome inthe darkness.

"I am so scared, they are ghosts.”

Fanny screamed.

Austin was also a bit worried. He looked at the souls that circled aroundthem, wondering how he should deal with them. These souls were notflesh and blood, so they couldn't be destroyed by regular instrumentsof assault.

No matter how consummate his martial skills were, it made nodifference to the souls. Hitting them was just like hitting air.

Facing the rolling fog and the flying souls, Austin was like a mouse whowanted to snatch a big egg from its hole. He did not know from whereto begin.

How should he deal with the souls? What on earth should be hiscombat now?

A flurry of ideas flitted in Austin's head.

Sensing Austin was hesitant and deliberating, a crowd of souls howledand flung themselves at Austin and Fanny with bared fangs. They werebloodthirsty and hideously diabolical, coming at Austin and Fanny withthe intent to kill them.

"Oh, no," Fanny shouted out loud.

Ducking in fear, Fanny covered her face with her hands.

Austin's face darkened. He growled and clasped his hands in a fist toevoke a pale blonde vital energy. After a moment, it glowed softly inthe palm of his hand. Without any delay, Austin then charged towardsone soul with ferocity.

Austin had been learning the Golden Sun Scripture, and the paleblonde vital energy was one of his achievements.

The pale blonde vital energy poured out and punched the soul he wasafter. Austin tasted success

The soul was gurgling and writhing in pain as the pale blonde vitalenergy began to erode the soul. It was like the sun melting the snow. The soul struggled and cried out of pain. In an instant, the soul turnedinto a shadow of itself and then finally vanished into the air.

The vital energy had the desired effect.

Austin felt triumphant on the inside.

Austin had been thinking how to deal with these souls and then itstruck him that they were fundamentally evil.

While learning the Golden Sun Scripture in the last few days, in fact inthe introduction to the Scripture on the very first page itself, it said thatthe Golden Sun Scripture was masculine.

Logically, anything masculine could suppress most evil things. Going bythat logic, Austin summoned the vital energy and tasted success!Austin began to gather more vital energy in the palms of his hands andattacked the souls by his left hand and right hand alternately. Just likebefore, the souls howled in pain and disappeared.

At the same time, the Twin Shadow Blades continued to cut the sixtrees. Since they were the most superior spiritual weapon there everwas, they were regarded formidable.

Austin was just at the seventh grade of the Energy Gathering Realmnow, which is why he didn't put the Twin Shadow Blades in full force.Regardless, the Twin Shadow Blades were slicing the enormously thicktrees in a brief time.

When the two trees were cut down, two small black flags appeared intheir place.

Seeing this, Fanny, who followed Austin closely, got quite excited. Sherushed to pick them up, jubilant as if they had hit the jackpot.

The two tomb owners immediately knew what had happened when thetwo trees were cut down and the black flags were picked up. After all, they were the arrangers of the Soul Collection Array. Glancing in thedirection of the trees, they saw Austin as the source of this distress."We are in a bad way now. It was those two warriors. The four men wesent have turned out to be completely useless. How could they fail todefeat these two warriors who are just at the seventh grade of theEnergy Gathering Realm?"

The two tomb owners had arranged four of their subordinates tointercept Austin and Fanny. As Austin's and Fanny's cultivation baseswere weak, the two tomb owners believed that their four subordinatesshould have definitely captured the duo and collected the souls.

This was also why the tomb owners hadn't paid much attention to thearray.

Instead, they had focused their energies on the center of the valley, where the red blood magical python was fighting with many warriors.Scads of warriors had managed to bring the red blood magical pythonat the gate of death. It was about to be dismembered.

The two tomb owners still ordered some subordinates to pay attentionto what was going on in the valley. They were waiting for the red bloodmagical python to get killed, so that they could immediately set theSoul Collection Array in motion.

This was why no one noticed Austin killing the four black men whowanted to stop him and Fanny. Then, Austin went north and started tobreak through the array. The black men's hubris lied in looking downupon Austin and not knowing his strengths fully.
