The Supreme God of Martial Arts -
Chapter 148 The Flower Dragon Array
Matthew thought that as long as he used his Ice Mysterious skill,Austin's move would be significantly influenced—Austin would befrozen, and his movements would be restrained by the chill.
But the events showed otherwise. Matthew's Ice Mysterious skill was nomatch with Austin’s cultivation method. Even facing the constantattacks by Matthew's Ice Mysterious skill, Austin was merely counteringit without a sweat.
Completely confused, Matthew suddenly felt his head starting to ache. The pain was too much to bear that he began to lose focus on thecombat.
Then a sense of danger overwhelmed him as he saw two daggers, a redone and a black one, appeared jointly, almost on his chest, fromnowhere.
"How dare you do that?" Matthew shouted angrily.
His two hands stretched out in succession, and two ice mirrors took aform of a shield to stop the daggers.
Bang Bang! The ice mirrors had exploded. With the super-heat vitalenergy of the two staggers, the ice blocks had vanished into the airbefore it could melt on the ground.
Austin's Golden Sun Scripture afflicted Matthew's Ice Mysterious skill. So Mathew did not have the urge to defeat Austin when their vitalenergy slammed into one another.
Matthew's face turned pale, and he was overtly frightened that hefound himself in despair.
It was so easy for Austin to kill him!
As expected, the red dagger and black one cut Matthew's shouldersafter they broke the two ice mirrors.
Ah!
The Twin Shadow Blades had a weird way of attacking, and Matthewcould not deal with it. He was lucky to dodge the daggers and save hisbody from being critically hit; otherwise, his chest would be completelynotched and sliced.
Austin strode out and flashed before Matthew in a second. InMatthew's fright, Austin pouched him alternatively with his fists, exerting thousands of pounds in strength.
Compared with the martial arts skills that utilized vital energy, whichwas often used for a long distance, Austin preferred to fight against hisenemy by his pure strength in close combat.
One reason was that sheer physical strength would not consume muchof his vital energy, making him last longer and recover faster after along fight.
Another reason was that when fighting against an opponent, his quickbodily movement burst strength and tenacity, making him feel vigorouswith sweat.
Matthew's spirit started to recede when his confidence had wholly lefthim. He could only desperately form ice shields one after another, inthe hope of preventing Austin’s punch.
In the end, when Austin drove a hefty punch for the tenth time,Matthew could no longer hold his defense. He was helpless as hewatched Austin's fists approach him.
"You cannot kill me! The Blood Wolf Team has sent five of us to chaseand kill you, and if we all died, then the whole team will hunt you untilyou are dead!"
Matthew attempted to threaten, but as a response, Austin fully landedhis last punch, much stronger than the previous one.
Bang!
With a definite hit, Matthew's chest plunged hard, and his body wastotally curved like that of a prawn.
Worse than this, his entire body was discharged like a bullet, and it flewhigh
Blood spilled all throughout. It looked as if he had already been dead. All five men sent by the Blood Wolf Team to chase Austin in the outerpart of the Grand Desolation Mountain had all been killed by him!
At the sight of Austin, both Violet and Fanny were lost in their thoughtsto see him in full killing intent, with lust for blood all evident on his faceand stance. He seemed like an entirely different person
Fanny's eyes exhibited an expression of admiration.
"What do you think of this fight? Your eyes are twinkling too much.Have you fallen in love with my master?"
Violet teased Fanny with a laugh as she strode a step away from Fanny."Violet, what are you talking about? Who in her right mind will fall inlove with him?"
Fanny chuckled and playfully smacked Violet. The girls started frolickingso happily that their master and friend had won the fight againstpowerful opponents.
Austin then walked over towards the dead bodies of the three membersfrom the Blood Wolf Team and took away the three space rings, puttingthem into his own space ring.
After fighting, the place was turned into a complete mess—trees hadcollapsed and crumbled to pieces, roots wholly retracted from the soil, leaves were scattered everywhere, and some falling flowers were stilldancing in the air........
After Austin had put away the three space rings, he walked towardsViolet and Fanny. A few steps forward, flowers fell on his face.
It made him quivered and suddenly stopped. His spiritual sense was assharp as always, and it had given off some cold feeling thatoverwhelmed him.
His sensed that the ambiance of the forest had totally changed. Therewas some strange force hovering the area that did not previously exist.Austin turned severe and alert. He raised his head and looked at thespace which had become a little blear with the appearance of amysterious force.
Something was definitely wrong.
Danger seemed to be looming around, waiting for the perfect time tostrike. Although Austin’s spiritual sense was sharp, he could notpinpoint what the force was, but even then, he knew that somethingwas about to come, about to happen.
Austin clenched his fists, and his black eyes turned sharp. Then heraised his head, and his cold voice filled the entire forest. "Who is it?Please show yourself!"
There was a stony silence. No response came his way, and theatmosphere seemed chillier.
Without being noticed, the flowers dancing in mid-air had alreadydoubled—now looking like numerous butterflies flapping their wings. Both Violet and Fanny were surprised when they too, felt the suddenchange in the air and heard Austin's yell. The girls immediately swepttheir way beside Austin.
"Master, what happened?” Violet curiously asked.
"Someone is hiding and watching us,” Austin replied, still keeping hissense alert and looking around.
Fanny looked at the flowers dropping on the ground and slightly bit herlip when she realized something.
Suddenly, Austin felt something happened around him. He could seethe falling flowers solidify and filled with a kind of vital energy force. At this sight, Austin was caught off guard and couldn't move.
The dancing flowers suddenly turned their directions, and charged atAustin in a matter of seconds, trying to cover him.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
The first few flowers were thrown close to Austin's face. It was painful. He soon felt a splash of warm liquid in his body. Austin wiped it with hishand and saw handful blood. Those flowers were actually as sharp asblades.
"Hm!"
Austin coldly uttered.
He started gathering his strength in his arms and hit the flowers.Instantly the flowers scattered in all directions and full of the sky.
But in a short time, the flowers gathered together, assembling inbunches and creating a dragon figure made out of flowers. The dragoncharged at Austin waving its paws and showing its gritted teeth.
Boom!
With all the strength in his arms, Austin beat it into pieces with a punch. The flower dragon, however, after the flowers that forming the dragonscattered, huddled into one piece again. They seemed to be poweredwith endless energy.
Austin frowned, realizing his attack was useless. If he kept beating theflower dragon like that, he would be exhausted soon.
He broke the flower dragon once.
He broke the flower dragon twice.
He broke the flower dragon three times. . . .
Austin continuously attacked, and the results were all the same—theflower dragon would disintegrate and then all gathered in one pieceagain. Since the moment he had practiced the Overlord Body-refiningFormula, this was his first time to feel physically drained and tired.
He decided to use his Wind-commanding Skill, and he swiftly retreatedten meters in hopes of dodging the flower dragon for a while, therebysaving more of his vital energy.
However, the flower dragon tailed him wherever he went. The Wind-commanding Skill was useless, after all.
What made Austin felt strange was that the flower dragon chased andattacked only him as if Violet and Fanny were not around. Even when itpassed near the two, it never struck them.
Austin did not know how to deal with the flower dragon, but he wasthinking of using his Twin Shadow Blades. The two daggers attackedthe flower dragon alternatively and took his place for the time being.Austin heaved a sigh of relief watching the blades counter the flowerdragon. He could use this time to think for a counterattack.
"You! Small-minded guy! If you keep doing this, I will never talk to youlater!”
Fanny shouted at the sky as if talking to someone.
"Small-minded guy? Who are you talking about?" Austin was confused. Both Austin and Violet did not know whom Fanny was talking to or whoshe was talking about.
"Fanny, what is happening? You know the guy who is controlling theflower dragon, don't you?"
"Yes, you are right. It is my grandfather's protege, who made the FlowerDragon Array."
"Flower Dragon Array? Did your grandpa's protege set it here? I don'tremember having a problem with this guy nor even meeting him at thevery least. Why did he suddenly attack me with this array?" Austinasked, utterly confused about the whole situation.
He could not understand what was happening.
"Don't speak of him. He always acts pettily and selfishly, and he is atotal jerk!" Fanny furiously replied.
With an angry look, Fanny glared in some direction.
Austin looked at the same direction as Fanny, and his spiritual sensebarely perceived a figure somewhere. Although he had a sharp spiritualsense, this guy was definitely challenging to replace.
“That array is really amazing.’
Austin sighed in his mind and thought of how it took him a lot ofstrength to fight against the flower dragon. After all his attacks, it wasstill unscathed.
"Austin, let me help you to break the array! *
Fanny loudly exclaimed while Austin was lost in his thought.
