And yet, Lanny's suspicious movements caught Austin's attention atonce. Austin snorted in contempt noting Lanny's intention of runningaway.

"Violet, come out and free me from fighting these men. Lanny isscheming to run away. I can't stop him while these men are keeping mebusy. You take care of these men. I will go deal with Lanny,” Austin said.Austin transmitted his message to Violet through his mind.

Instantly, a flash of green light shot through the gate and entered thefront yard of the Li Clan's mansion. Gradually, the light fell slowly on theground and turned into a beautiful, sweet girl in a soft silken greendress. The men of the Li Clan became distracted by the suddenappearance of the girl. But the girl, undeterred and started to takedown a few of them. Unlike Mindy, whose fighting pattern was swiftand silent, the girl used the tactic of moving seductively and divertingtheir attention from the fight in order to kill them without anyresistance.

This girl too, was an Earth Realm fighter.

Lanny was completely taken aback by this new threat.

As if Austin and Mindy weren't already too much for him to defeat, nowthey had added new blood to their strengths? And again, the new girlsapped her strength from the Earth Realm. Winning was certainly thelast thing on Lanny's mind.

Lanny realized that it would do him no good if he stayed. Now hehurried to get out of there, trying to preserve the effective strength inhis clan. Fight of today was doomed to fail and it would be a miracle ifall of them got out of this disaster unscathed. Although other than themen who were engaged in combat, Lanny commanded a high-poweredbackup team. He had trained them for years and planned to use themin case of a situation like this. He would never reveal this team if not forsomething really critical. He thought he ought to keep himself fromharm's way before this team finally revealed itself.

Plus, he had sent a message to the Black Mountain Fortress beforeAustin and Mindy's arrival. So the Black Mountain Fortress's menshould arrive any minute. The head of the Black Mountain Fortress wasknown to have a cultivation base of the Earth Realm, and on top of that,all his men were cruel, merciless and afraid of nothing. Stringingtogether these advantages, Lanny knew that the fortress men were farsuperior to his clan's.

If I gather all these strengths, I might be able to defeat these threeEarth Realm fighters, * he pondered for a second.

Not the kind of person not to weigh his pros and cons, Lanny thoughtthat it was best to escape from a battle whose outcome was uncertainthan risk all that he had got.

At the time when the girl in green appeared, Mindy was still occupiedby the fight with a couple of the Li Clan men. Unintentionally, Mindyglanced back and saw a flash of green light.

“Who is that girl?’ she wondered. “Her face is vaguely familiar, * thoughtMindy but then she could not tell where exactly she had seen her. "Howdid she just appear out of nowhere and is helping us deal with thesemen? Is she a friend of Austin's? By the scene of it, I guess she is," shespeculated.

And then, a memory came alive in Mindy's mind.

Concentrating hard to remember all its details, Mindy almost cried outin wonder.

Isn't she the fox that captured Austin at first then was subdued byAustin later? How did she get here anyway?’ Mindy felt oddly disturbedby her questions.

"Hey, sister, watch out! Eyes on your fight!"

shouted Violet, out of the blue. She turned around and smiled sweetlyat Mindy.

Again, Mindy felt awful for becoming lax on the battlefield. Looking infront, Mindy just caught the sight of a long sword coming straight forher to stab her in the stomach. Violet's presence had taken her eyesand mind off the battlefield and now the tip of the sword was about tocome closer and pierce her to death.

In a trice, she raised her sword and blocked the long sword to avoid theattack. Jolted by the close shave, Mindy vowed not to think of anythingelse.

By this time, the floor of the fighting field, the front yard of the Li Clan,was covered by many dead men.

In this short period, the number of the dead men had gone up to fifty.“Damn it! From where did these fighters of the Earth Realm come? Howdid the Zhang Clan manage to hire such powerful allies to help themwith their revenge?

How thoughtless of us to not have wiped out every living soul of theZhang Clan seven years ago! We wouldn't have had to see so much oftrouble now."

Lanny kept on cursing as he felt unable to come to terms with his ownweakness as a warrior.

"As the master of the Li Clan, how can you sneak out of the battlefieldabandoning your men to death? They should be so disappointed atyou."

A mocking voice came from behind. Scared, Lanny decided to turnaround and see who it was. It was the young man, who swished pasthim and stood in front.

Austin stood tall to keep the despicable Clan Leader from runningaway. "Well then, if you so insist, I can only strike you to death as youhave come tailing me for it. Don't ever think that I am frightened ofyou, boy."

Having no choice, Lanny retorted with bravado. Given the situation,Lanny now had to fight. Staring viciously at Austin, he slowly pulled outhis exquisite steel long spear. Let out, the spear breathed out chilly,piercing winds that started to wrap Lanny in circles as he held the spearto the sky.

Lanny was a wee bit relieved too. It was just one of them, just Austin tochallenge him. Defeating the three together looked absolutelyimpossible, but maybe defeating one wasn't out of the question. As hescanned Austin’s strength, he saw that he was in the Earth Realm, buthad entered its preliminary stage not too long ago. Lanny incomparison had been in the Earth Realm for nine years. Moreover, hehad a feeling that his strength had been on par with that of themedium stage.

Fortified by these ideas, Lanny hurried into his battle with Austin withthe singular aim of ending his enemy's life.
