The Supreme God of Martial Arts
Chapter 399 A Strong Ability To Absorb

Entirely out of the blue, Austin met his old enemy Roger who was theprincipal disciple of Sun Sect, in the battle ring. Their intense hatred foreach other was evoked all over again and old bruises were opened. Thebattle gained immense importance for each other. It became a matterof life and death.

However, to Austin’s surprise, Roger's Wildfire Spear Skill had reachedthe Minor Achievement Stage, and he had also achieved a level 7 spearintent. Roger was a much more formidable opponent than before.Austin’s level seven sword intent was suppressed by Roger's level sevenspear intent, because the Wildfire Spear Skill which Roger used was a5th grade skill, higher than the sword skill Austin used.

"Austin, you fled away from death three years ago because of nothingbut luck. This time, fate will be on my side. I hope you're ready to dietoday.”

Roger felt it in his bones that he was going to come out victorious thistime.

The look in his eyes became vicious. "Wildfire Spear attack!" Heshouted.

The spear that Roger had firmly clasped ejected thousands of purplewildfires. They were the size of a palm and they huddled together like adense swarm of locusts. Each of the purple wildfire was the heat of thesun packed in a small space. They could burn anything to ashes withinseconds.

All the purple wildfires, together, exponentially increased thetemperature of the space to a thousand degrees. The moisture in theatmosphere evaporated. The heat flare made sight almost impossible.Austin could just make out the dim outline of Roger and his swarm ofpurple wildfires.

"Ha ha ha, Austin! This is the fiercest attack in my techniques. I havekept this skill aside especially for you. It's actually your pleasure to turnto dust under my most powerful attack.” Roger mocked.

The thick palm-size purple wildfires occupied the space around Austin, suffocating him. The fearsome high temperature created by the level 7spear intent overwhelmed Austin. He didn't have a defense ready. Thewildfire seemed to have the ability to burn down the sky. There was noway Austin could come out of this alive.

It seemed that Austin was standing in a sea of fire, surrounded byblazing mountains on all sides. Austin's entire body was shaking. It wasonly going to be a matter of minutes till Austin was burnt to his lastcell.

All the audience were shaking their heads in dismay. They sighed andgave up hope of ever seeing Austin alive on the battle ring.

Austin knew that he couldn't resist Roger's attack if he only used thelevel 7 sword intent. Therefore, he decided to try the level 5 OverlordBody-refining Formula to have a go at Roger and his purple wildfires. The physique strength of level 5 Overlord Body-refining Formulacultivator could resist the attack from a martial artist of the MysteriousRealm. Although Roger's spear skill was quite powerful, Roger'scultivation base was only at the premium stage of Earth Realm. Austinfigured that using level 5 Overlord Body-refining Formula could beenough to tackle Roger.

In addition, as long as he called upon the Spiritual Sense Flying Needleat the same time to weaken Roger's spear intent, there was asubstantial chance that Austin would succeed.

Just then, Austin suddenly felt the light ball in his elixir field quiverslightly. He could tell that it was feeling joyous.

But why? What for? Was it because...

From his experience, Austin knew that the light ball in his elixir fieldcould not only go out of his body but also absorb masculine energy if itwanted to. The light ball was an entity on its own that acted accordingto its will.

Thousands of purple wildfires in sight definitely belonged to masculineenergy. The light ball could absorb that energy!

Thinking of that, Austin used his mind to call the light ball. "Shmm." Thelight ball went through his body and suspended itself in front of Austin. It gave off a dazzling, almost blinding golden light.

As soon as it appeared, the light ball began absorbing in copiousamounts. It was a glorious sight to look at. It created a swirling eddy ofenergy and pulled thousands of palm-size purple wildfires towards itscenter. Austin gradually felt at ease.

Soon enough, all the purple wildfires, which were boundless and hadeven covered the whole battle ring were all absorbed by the light ball.Without wildfires, the audience were able to see the present scene clearas daylight.

"How could this happen?”

Braxton bellowed.

Almost all the energy he had used to attack Austin had been absorbedby the dazzling golden light ball which had appeared all of a sudden. The strength of Wildfire Spear Skill was disintegrating. Braxton hadnever in his wildest dreams imagined this.

The confident smile that his face radiated in expectation of aresounding victory, had been swept away leaving behind disbelief.

On the other hand, Austin felt giddy inside. He was excited at theprospect of holding inside so much energy.

Compared to the usual way, the cultivation had a way better effect thisway!

It gave him an idea. "I'll battle more martial artists who cultivatemasculine formulas and skills, so that I can absorb their energy whenthey attack. It'll help speed up my cultivation, * he thought.

"I can't believe that you survived. Stop playing these childlike tricks. Iam still going to kill you.”

Bringing himself to the present and disregarding whatever had takenplace, Braxton attacked again. This time, a purple gas that could coverdozens of acres ejected from the tip of the spear. The gas turned intopurple wildfires that burnt the air. The entire space was flaming again. However, before he could take next step to attack, the dazzling goldenlight ball in front of Austin quivered slightly and all the purple wildfiresflew to it. The purple wildfires were like flying moths which dart into thefire though they know they would die. Again all the wildfires wereabsorbed by the light ball.

The key of Braxton's spear skill was the complementary nature of thespear intent and fire strength. But now, the masculine vital energy forcecontained in the spear had drained. Without the support of masculineenergy, spear intent was essentially useless.

"Ha-ha, Braxton!" It was Austin’s turn to mock, this time. "I was superiorto you three years ago, and now I'm still better than you.

For me, you are simply a grasshopper at the end of autumn—nearingits end.

I have spared you long enough, but now you are going to pay for whatyou and your grandfather have done to me. I haven't forgotten thoseinjustices!

You're dying today, you bastard. Then, I'll replace the old dog Jaime andtear him apart.”

Austin's eyes were fixed intently on Braxton. They were burning withvengeance.

Braxton however knew his time was up. The momentum of spear hadweakened. It wouldn't cause even a little harm to Austin.

Austin took the light ball back to his elixir field. Using the Wind-commanding Skill and leaving behind a ghost of shadow, he scurried infront of Braxton instantly.

Braxton though had a solid cultivation base and had sensed Austin'smovements immediately.

"You're looking for death," Braxton whispered.

He roared as he performed the Wildfire Spear Skill with his long spearin his hand regardless of all consequences. But the momentum of hisspear was not strong enough to have any impact. Instead, its effect washalf of what it previously was.

He could not perform a full-fledged attack with that skill again. All ofthis was because of the light ball absorbing all the purple wildfires. Thatskill was taxing on Braxton's body and he couldn't do his best this time.
