The Unexpected Princess
What Do I Do?

We were all sitting around Abby’s room. Ethan not knowing what do was sitting on her bed beside me.

“Ethan? Why did you come to replace me?” I asked. He shifted to look at me. “Snow, after I realized you left, I didn’t know what to do with myself, I stayed in my room most of the time, until I decided to come for you.” He said. “Daw, how cute.” Abby gushed. I laughed and got off the bed. I turned to Ethan.

“Wanna go for a walk?” I asked. He nodded and stood. I took his hand in mine and we walked down the stairs and outside. After a few moments of silence I looked up at him.

“Ethan, you don’t plan on staying here, do you?” I asked He sighed, “The reason I came, was to bring you back home.” He said. “Ethan, this is my home, my friends are here.” I said. “But your family is there.” I sighed and looked at my feet as we walked. The snow stuck the the ground, and the tire tracks made it look brown and mucky. I don’t want to go back, but I do. Why is my life so confusing? Suddenly Ethan stopped walking and turned to me.

“Snow, you must came back with me.” He insisted. “Ethan I just can’t, going back with you, would hurt too much. And the last thing I want, is for all of Engor to start calling me a princess.” I said. He cupped my face in his hands, “You’re my princess.” He whispered. I laughed softly. “Snow?” I turned to see Ashton standing there. He turned to walk away, I ran after him and grabbed his arm.

“Wait!” He turned to look at me, then back at Ethan. “Is he your boyfriend?” Ashton asked. I shook my head. “No, we’re not dating.” I mean I didn’t lie to him. We’re not dating. I felt the warmth of Ethan as he appeared beside me. “Snow, who’s this?” He asked. Ashton turned to face us, my hand still on his arm.

“This is Ashton, Ashton this is Ethan.” You could the tenseness in the air, what am I going to do? Ethan’s here, and I promised Ashton I could to the movies with him. But now that Ethan’s here, what do I do? And just when I thought my life was starting to get easier.

“So, are we still going to the movies Saturday Snow?” Ashton asked. I nodded, “Of course.” I said. He smiled happily. “Good, I’ll pick you up tomorrow at four.” He said. He turned and began to walk away.

“What was that about?” Ethan asked. “Ashton and I are going to the movies tomorrow.” I said. “Like a date?” Ethan asked. I nodded. “There is no well in hell you’re going out with him!” He said. I scoffed, “And who you to control me?” I asked. “I’m your mate, and I love you more then he ever will.” He spat. I scoffed, “That doesn’t give you a right to control my life!” I shouted. He growled. “After I came all this way.” He said. I turned my back towards him. “Yeah, well I didn’t ask you to come here.” I whispered. “Fine.” I heard him start to walk away.

I stomped off, making my way back towards Abby’s house. About halfway there I stopped. That last thing I need is a lecture from them. I Made my way into the woods and began to walk. I just need time to think, to clear my mind. When I reached a clearing I sighed, I saw someone leaning against the tree. As I glanced closer and realized who it was. I quickly turned and my a beeline back for the woods. I shifted into my wolf and began to run through the trees. I don’t need him knowing I’m here. Before I broke through the trees I shifted back as my feet hit the road. I ran down the road and inside Abby’s house. I closed the door and slid against it, panting.

“Snow, someone’s here for you.” Abby’s mom said. I stood up and walked into the kitchen to see the person I just ran away from. He stood up from the table, his hands in his pockets. He smirked at me,

“Snow.” I looked at Zach, why, why is he here to?! “If you here to ask me to come back, I’ve already had this conversation with your brother, it’s not happening.” I said. “Well, I’ll leave you two to talk.” Abby’s mom walked out of the room. Me and Zach were just staring at each other, it was like a staring contest. Finally Zach sighed,

“Yes, I came to ask you to come back, after Ethan left, and he refused to take me with him, I came on my own. I wanted you to come back for him, he needs you.” He said. “Zach, I can’t go back. I just can’t” I turned to walk out of the kitchen when I bumped into someone, I looked up and Ethan was standing there. Great now that both brothers are here, they can both pester me.

“What are you doing here?” Ethan growled. “I’m trying to tell Snow you need her to come back.” Zach said. “I’m old enough to do that by myself.” Ethan said. Zach smirked, “Really? Well hows that working for you?” He asked. As the brothers continued to argue I walked out of the kitchen and upstairs. I slammed Abby’s door shut and locked it. I laid down on Abby’s bed and stared at the ceiling. There was a soft knock on the door.

“Snow?” Ethan’s voice was soft. “Go away.” I said. “No, I can’t leave knowing you’re upset, what’s wrong?” He asked. I stood up from the bed and unlocked the door. I opened to face Ethan, Zach was behind him, leaning against the wall.

“What’s wrong? You really wanna know? What’s wrong is the fact that I left to get away from all of this, and you two just march right in, expecting me to come back with you. Well news flash, neither of you own me. I can make my own decision. So sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m not going back if Abby and Jake are here.” I slammed the door in Ethan’s face before he could say anything. I sat on the bed and looked out the window. I didn’t know what to do, but I had to get out of here. I opened the window and peered down. Easy two story jump. I sat on the window sill before pushing myself off and landing in a crouch on the ground. I decided to go to the one place no one would think I would go. I began to walk to my house. I haven’t been there since we left and I decided it was time to go back.

When I walked up the sidewalk to my front door I jiggled the door handle only to notice that it was locked. Great. I wondered to the back of my house to where my windows were. Well there’s only one way to get inside. I shifted into an eagle and flew up to the window. I grabbed a hold of the handle and slid it open. I flew to the center of my room and shifted back. I sighed and plopped on my bed. I stared at the sky as the sun began to set, turning the clouds into a light pink color, making it look like cotton candy. I laid down and cuddled my pillow. It didn’t take long for me to fall asleep.

When I awoke the next morning, I got up from my bed and walked into the bathroom. I forgot to take out my piercings so I had red spots where they were. Great and I have a date tonight. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, I had 30 missed calls and 40 texts. All from Abby and Jake. They were all basically stating that Ethan and Zach had been looking for me and they were all worried. I rolled my eyes and tossed my phone on the bed. I’m not in the mood for anything. I looked at the clock, it was currently 1:30. jeez I slept late. Ashton will be here in less then three hours. The first thing I need to do is take a shower. I turned on the warm water and let the room and steamy. I took off my shirt and stared at my reflection. My eyes wandered down to my stomach, the royal crest still printed there. There’s no getting out of it, I’m Ethan’s mate, my heart seems to except it, it’s my brain that’s having trouble.

Why is it so hard to except that my mate is prince of Engor. I finished getting undressed and hopped into the shower. I let the warm water pound against my back, waking my sleepy muscles. I washed my hair and got out. I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and walked into my room. I opened my closet and rummaged through, looking for an outfit. I picked out a white tank top with my white mickey mouse sweater, black leggings and black Ugg boots. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. It was 3:30, so Ashton will be here in about a half hour. I made a sandwich and when I finished eating I heard a knock on my door. I opened it expecting it to be Zach, but it was Ethan. When he saw me, he smiled.

“What are you doing here Ethan?” I asked. “I came to talk to you.” He said. He stepped inside the house. “Well, I can’t talk right now, Ashton will be here soon.” I said. “You’re really going out with him?” He asked. “Yes, because I promised him, and I don’t break promises.” He smiled. “Promise me you’ll come back with me.” He whispered. I shook my head, “I can’t.” Ashton’s car pulled up in my drive way. “I have to go, you can stay here and we’ll talk as soon as I get back.” I said. He nodded and I closed the front door. I walked to the car and opened the door, climbing inside. I put on my seat belt and looked back at my house. Ethan was watching us as we pulled away.

“You look great Snow.” Ashton said. I smiled at him, “Thanks, you don’t look so bad yourself.” We laughed. I smiled as we made our way to the movies. When we pulled up at the theater we got out of the car. Ashton walked over to me and took my hand in his. It wasn’t as warm as Ethan’s, it just didn’t feel right. I shook my head, I can’t think about him, not when I’m here with Ashton.

“Anything in particular you want to see?” Ashton asked. “Well I don’t know what’s out, so you go ahead and pick.” I said. He smiled and picked out a movie, I don’t remember what it was called, it was something about gun fighters. We got some popcorn and drinks. We walked to where the movie was being held and picked out some seats in the back. As the movie went on, the only thing that was in my head, was Ethan. I know he wants me to go back with him, but I just can’t go. I didn’t pay attention to the movie at all, and when the lights came back on again, signalling that the movie was over, I felt terrible for being so caught up in my thoughts. We made our way back to the car and got in. It was dark by the time the movie was over.

“Did you like the movie?” Ashton asked. I smiled and nodded, “Thank you for tonight, it was fun.” I said. He smiled and nodded. “So what’s up with that Ethan dude?” He asked. I knew that was going to come up in this conversation. “He’s a friend, from when I was gone.” I said. “It’s seems to me that he wants to be more then friends.” He muttered. You have no idea. “Well he seems desperate to me.” He said. “What?” I asked. “Well I’m just saying, he comes all the way here to get you, but you shot him down. But he keeps on trying.” Ashton chuckles to himself. He was really starting to piss me off. “You don’t now him.” I said. “I don’t need to.” That’s it, I’m done.

“Stop the car.” I said. Ashton looked at me confused. “What? No.” He said. “So help me, you stop this car or I’m jumping.” He sighed and pulled over on the side of the road. I opened the car door and got out.

“Come on where are you going?” Ashton asked. “I’m walking home.” I said. “You can’t walk home in the dark, there are some real creeps out here.” He said. “What like you?” I asked. I slammed the door and began to walk, we weren’t far from my house, so it took me about five minutes to get there. I opened the door and walked inside. Ethan was sitting on the couch.

“What are you doing in my house stranger?” I joked. He titled his head in confusion, not getting the joke. “What do you mean?” He asked. “Nothing never mind.” I took off my shoes and sat beside him. I laid my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. We were just enjoying each others silence. I was the first to speak up,

“We need to talk.” I said. He shifted to look at me. “I know you want me to go back, but I don’t want to leave Abby and Jake, I-I just can’t.” I said. He smiled. “I was thinking about that, what if they came with us?” He asked. I looked at him confused. He took my hands in his. “I talked to them both, they’re willing to talk to they’re parents into coming with us. We meet them tomorrow.” He said. “Why? Why would you go through the trouble?” I asked. He leaned forward and pressed our foreheads together. “Because I love you, and I need you by my side.” He whispered. I smiled softly. “I love you too.” He smiled widely after I said that. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. “Good, cause I’m never letting you good.” I smiled. Will their parents agree to let them come to Engor? Another issue is, will they think we’re monsters?
