Eliana quickly covered her neck, coughing awkwardly.
“Just a cold from yesterday.
Nothing to worry about.
”
Declan chose not to probe further.

“Finally, we present the last necklace, the ‘Love of Mona’, a symbol of everlasting love! Comprising 108 D-class white diamonds, each of identical grade and cut! Centered by a grand ruby, representing love, known as Mona’s Tear! Bidding starts at 80 million!”
The opening price was set, and a cacophony of bids immediately filled the hall.
“100 million!”

“110 million!”
The bidding escalated, showing no sign of slowing.

Having made a public display of affection the day before, he couldn’t back down without losing face.
With a strained look, Declan hoisted his paddle.
“201 million.
