Chapter 2127

Stefan might be lacking in other aspects, but he was strong. It was acceptable to make him Renee's supporter who could ease her mind.

*Forget it. Stop bringing him up!" Leia said.

She never anticipated Liam to take Stefan's side one day. Liam had always hated Stefan deeply, so this was preposterous and bizarre. Leia wondered if he had lost his soul after staying at the fort for such a long time.

*Ren has long fallen out with Stefan. They no longer mind each other's business and are unrelated. Stop putting them together. It disgusts me," she went on.

She was one of the few who was aware of the relationship between Renee and Stefan. She also knew how deep their conflict was. Naturally, she looked down on Stefan and hated him deeply.

Women could accept their men to be poor, ugly, or cruel-but they found it unacceptable when their men had a change of heart. Once the men changed their minds, all love was nothing but trash.

"What happened? Weren't you guys doing fine the other day?" Liam was surprised-he didn't expect their romance to undergo such a vast change even though he hadn't asked about it in a while.

He remembered calling Renee and asking about her when she bumped into some trouble the other day. At that time, she was still madly in love with Stefan. Besides, Stefan had made peace with Quinton. Logically speaking, everything should be heading in a good direction.

"I don't know. Philosophically, everything is changing. I thought Ren and Stefan would gain a happy ending after overcoming all obstacles. Unexpectedly, someone came out of nowhere. So... We never know people for real. Men ruled by their desires are nothing but beasts. It isn't a pity even if we lose them!" Leia gritted her teeth, sounding indignant.

Yet, Leia didn't hate Stefan that much. She found him pitiful and pathetic, and that he had let Renee down.

Stefan wasn't that bad himself. He could risk his life for Renee. Then again, he would never get tangled up with a bitch like Briar when Renee was sick just because of his desire.

The most infuriating point was that he cheated on Renee with Briar, who had harmed Renee countless times. It was utterly humiliating for Renee, and proved that Briar had defeated Renee once again.

No woman with self-esteem could forgive that, let alone Renee, who was always unyielding.

How pathetic! What a pity!

"No, you're wrong." Renee, who had been silent, inevitably spoke up when she heard Leia's nasty words. "I think he has some difficulties. I trust his character. He isn't a man who cares only about his desires. If he were, he would have long gotten together with someone else when we were divorced. He wouldn't be single for so many years."

"Hey, Ren. You can't see it well. You're lying to yourself because you trust him too much."

Leia felt sorry for Renee, but she was also angry. "He told you he was single, and you trusted him? He might have kept a lover or had never broken up with Briar! If not, why would he get back together with her? Stop assuming the best of him!"
