The Unwanted Luna -
Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 84
-POV Charlie-
I sat there and watched that stupid girl blow away everything that they had been building, all because she cannot lose to Ayame. It's quite comical really, but I'm a little too surprised that it was this easy. If I knew I could get rid of her by just throwing her in front of Ayame for five minutes, I would have done this days ago. "Hell I would have forced you so we could have enjoyed the time with our mate instead of that creature." My wolf grumbled and I completely agreed with him.
"Start moving in on the mother." I called to the omegas and made sure the alphas heard me. They glanced my way, but only for a second, acknowledging they heard me. Their eyes were focused on their queen. I was focused on my little kitten. "I...I mean...." Malerie stumbled.
"Are you freaking kidding me?! I had to dress like one of the dwarfs and you couldn't keep your mouth shut for five minutes?!" 'Sophie' shouted.
I finally pulled my eyes away from my blushing mate and raised a brow at Malerie. A smirk fell from my lips while Conri's voice echoed through the room again. "Let me guess....Adolpha."
She bit her lip and turned to him. "Wow...you even recognize me when I look like this?" That woman said breathlessly, like that was a good thing.
Emily snorted behind her and rolled her eyes. "No, you stupid twat, they figured it out after your entitled friend just blurted out who she was. You two are not very good spies."
"Of course, they aren't. They have no plan, no pack, and very few friends. They are just rogues that apparently don't know when they have been beaten." Vil growled and Adolpha huffed, turning her attention back to Conri and I had a feeling where this was going. It seemed quite familiar.
I scratched my eyes then let my hand fall with a smack on my thigh, making the room turn to me. "Let me guess, Malerie or Donna told you that Conri would take you back after Luna Ayame is out of the picture."
Adolpha turned to her and clicked her teeth. "He would take me back even if she wasn't in the picture."
Ayame's eyes flashed to the ocean blue that her wolf blessed her with and she growled loudly, snapping her teeth at Adolpha. "Kneel to your Luna!" Ayame shouted and both Malerie and Adolpha were kneeling in front of her immediately. "What the hell?!" Malerie screamed.
I'm sure it was painful. Who said the Alpha command is the only one that has to be obeyed? That raw power.... Ayame has had enough. "Vince!" Ayame shouted and he was in front of her in a second. "Please take them to the dungeon. I'm sure they would love to chat with Sawyer down there."
Malerie screamed irritably and tried to get up from where she kneeled. "You knew this whole time?!" She screamed.
I couldn't help it anymore and I glanced at Ayame. She nodded to me while I took in a breath. "Zelena, come here please." I reached out my hand to my mate. Emily walked next to her and guarded Zelena safely to my side. Zelena sat next to me and she looked regretful, but she still held her head high. Malerie screamed again. "The hell are you doing anywhere near my mate!" Malerie shouted.
And I couldn't help it anymore. I laughed. I mean like a full belly laugh. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I could finally snuggle Zelena into my side. "Since when am I your mate? Last time I checked, I was, and I quote, 'nothing but a foot soldier with no ability to provide for you. I am nothing to you." I said, reciting exactly what she told me six years ago when I found out she was my mate. When she took my hope and joy away from me. I chuckled darkly, remembering that Zelena has brought it all back and then some. Malerie gasped. "No...no...I didn't mean it." She whimpered.
"You did and, just like you asked, the Goddess heard you. I heard you. I have no ties left to our bond, Malerie. Zelena is my mate. The one the moon goddess blessed me with after dealing with your entitled torment for six years. Like you said before, the Moon Goddess made a mistake. She heard you, Malerie. I hope you enjoy the dungeons." I didn't have anything else to say. I stood up and gently brought Zelena to her feet. "We will be leaving now, Luna. I have to go get Raven. We will be back in a few days." I called out to my friends who stuck by me in all of this.
It may not have been easy, but it was well worth it. I met Zelena and my perfect little pup. My wolf finally accepted Malerie's rejection, and I can breathe again. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world.
Edon nodded along with Vil and Conri. Ayame smiled and wiped a tear from her eye. "I'm so happy for you Charlie. Take two soldiers with you just in case and make sure the Omegas apprehend Donna, please." She asked and she still had her Luna voice, but it was kind towards me with no sense of malice or force. The other half of her power. She was born for this.
"Of course, Luna." I said, and bowed to her.
Zelena did the same. "Thank you, Luna." She added politely.
"See yah soon! Now we just need to match up someone with Vince and we will be unstoppable!" Emily called and Zelena giggled before we headed out of the room.
"Oh hell no!" Vince called back while the office door closed behind us.
"Move in." I called to my spies at the ready.
"Sir!" They shouted and I cut the link, holding onto Zelena's hand, taking in her delicious tropical scent.
When we made it into the car, I stared out of the windshield for a while as the motor just ran at idle. "Charlie?" Zelena asked, sliding her hand over my forearm while my hands clutched the steering wheel.
I turned to her, and she leaned over the console and kissed me. She just...kissed me. I pulled away from the steering wheel and wrapped my arms around her, deepening the kiss. I need Zelena. I thank the Moon Goddess every day that I found her and I'm so grateful that now...all I need to think about is her. I don't know what will happen to those three, but I don't care. All I care about is Zelena and Raven. I will be a good mate to her and a good father figure to Raven. I will do my best for them.
As for Malerie.... Good riddance.
-POV Ayame-
"Malerie, if you tell me where Richard is, it will lessen your punishment." Edon pushed again while Malerie and Adolpha were sitting in the middle of the room with their hands tied behind their backs. We knew he was somewhere around here and one of the warriors spotted him entering the ceremony, but no one saw him leave.
"I will never tell you anything!" Malerie shouted and Edon looked like he was ready to kill her now. Sister or otherwise.
I stepped up to him and let my hand graze over his back. His tensed muscles eased at my touch, and I knew he was slowly calming down. "It's okay. Edon. We tried. They can go sit in a cell now. We aren't going to get anything else out of them."
"Oh, so now that you are officially Luna, you think you are the shit?!" Adolpha shouted as their masks began to fade. I guess the spell had a time limit or a proximity limit? I'll be sure to ask Zelena about that when they get back. "You will still be a weak little toy and when you see him again you will crumble just like last time. A wolf spirit cannot remove the fear that you will always have! You will always be weak!" Adolpha continued as her voice became more and more ear-piercing.
Vince was about to drag them out and I held up my hand. "Thank you for reminding me, Adolpha. I know what I came here as and trust me, I'm not invincible, but I will not allow anyone to harm those I love or this pack. If I replace him, he will be removed. I don't care how you look at me. Those who matter see me as I am and you are not one of them." I turned to Vince and smiled when he grinned at me approvingly. Then, I turned my attention back to Vince with more pride in his eyes than I've ever seen before. "You can take them now."
Just like Sawyer, they kicked and screamed as they were removed by Vince and a couple of warriors he called in here about ten minutes after Charlie left. Once the door closed, I slowly sat on the floor, not trusting my legs to move. "Ha! Damn, I did not think you had it in you." Kyle said, laughing at my paled expression. I don't have it in me. I think I'm going to be sick.
I pursed my lips and Emily walked over to him. "I got it." She called before slapping his arm.
"The hell was that for?!" Kyle called.
She huffed and turned back to me. "You good, Ayame?" She asked.
I nodded slowly and Edon scooped me up off the floor. "You do not leave our side. You do not go anywhere without us. Even the bathroom."
I snuggled into his chest. "Babe, can we hide in here for a minute?" I called to Edon in the mind link.
He chuckled and tilted his head towards his brothers. Conri stood up from his desk chair and headed for the door. "We will see you guys out there." Conri said, and waved his hand for everyone else to follow.
"You will be fine, little one. We got you this time. Remember that. We will replace him." Conri said with such assurance that it soothed me just as much as Edon's arms.
Vil kissed my head and silently left the room. I didn't need anything else. Edon walked around the room and sat on the couch letting me rest in his lap. "So, here we are again." He said, gently rubbing my arm.
I nodded and my wolf whimpered. If it wasn't for her, this level of confidence would never have happened. However, I wasn't angry about her taking the lead. "Sorry Ayame. I think that might have been too much for you right now, but I'm just so tired of everyone treating you like you are less than."
I may not be ready to take on every battle alone...but I am better than I was before and that's what counts. I snuggled in closer to Edon's neck and breathed in his scent before acknowledging my wolf. "With these three, that thought is impossible."
