The Unwanted Luna -
Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 95
-POV
Ayame-
I appreciated Zelena's suggestions and I'm happy it ended with Emily and I cornering Edon and the others laughing at his discomfort. There was no way we could do this to Vil so... lesser of two evils. "Sorry this was my bad." Zelena said and I glanced back to see her attempting to get us to back off. "Charlie said it wouldn't be that amazing...maybe we should just call it for today?" She continued to press.
"You two are being ridiculous." Vil grumbled.
"No way are we letting you two off that easily. If we can't get the info from Edon, we will just go to you instead." Emily countered.
I gasped and shook my head, feeling my cheeks redden immediately. "No!" Zelena and I shouted while Emily laughed at our expense and Vil growled lowly.
"I dare you to try." He warned and I took that as a bad idea to continue.
"Please, Edon." I whimpered through our link and he went rigid almost immediately.
I batted my eyes up at him until he finally groaned irritably. "My grandfather, okay!" He shouted. I subconsciously sighed in relief as the mystery had been solved in my favor. This whole time, I thought his mother was a werebear, but he got his spirit from his grandparents. He didn't say mother.... That means it can't be her...right? Right.
Emily wrinkled her nose and stood back irritably. "Nope! Make it something more interesting. That was too easy!"
Edon pursed his lips and glared at Em. "Sorry to disappoint. Why are you three even in here? Did you finish studying the historical laws yet? You know there is another summit coming up and you three are going this time."
"Yeah, we aren't going to have a repeat of last time." Vil grumbled and I blushed, remembering Edon racing to see me that night.
Charlie walked in and wrapped his arms around Zelena. "What did I miss? Did they figure it out?" He asked curiously with an underlying chuckle.
Emily groaned and plopped herself on Kyle's lap. "Yep! Such a let down!" She whined.
I giggled softly and turned to my bear of a man. "Oh well. It's another mystery solved."
He kissed my lips softly and walked over to grab a soda from the fridge. "But seriously, ladies. Did you study the material? There will be a lot of different packs and species there this time. You need to be able to maintain etiquette and hold a conversation when prompted." Conri chimed into the conversation.
"We know enough, I'm sure we will be fine." Emily mumbled while Kyle massaged her shoulders.
"That remains to be seen." Vil grunted, tearing into his sandwich.
I slipped in next to him and his hand rested on my thigh immediately. I grabbed a chip off his plate, and he rolled his eyes. "What could possibly go wrong? Chaz is gone, Richard is in a mental institution, and my female problems are in the dungeons. I'm not worried. We will have fun and finally get to enjoy being a...um...never mind. Either way, we will get to enjoy our time instead of stress about the unknown." I fiddled with my fingers as my hair draped over my shoulder as I said what I should be thinking. Stop reading the wrong and incomplete storyline, jo b ni b.com has the correct and complete book. I was going to say family, but I'm not too sure if anyone is ready to say all that yet. I mean...my triplet's beta, gamma, and head warrior are the closest thing to siblings I have, but I'm just a little uncomfortable with calling everyone my family so soon.
Emily said I should think of my mates as my husbands and get over my human problems already, but it wasn't as easy as she made it sound. Vil's hand slid from my thigh and rested on my hands without saying a word. "I'm not sure I would say nothing will go wrong." The room chilled and we turned to meet three women who looked like they came straight from the amazon. They were poised with skintight jeans and crop top sweatshirts. Their skin tones were soft shades of brown and their eyes were vibrant yellows and oranges with black slits for irises. Their hair was tied back in either a ponytail, bun, or French braid and their aura screamed 'leaders'. "Ivy Stone." Conri said, bowing slightly. The woman in the middle bowed back.
"Hello triplets. Oh, and a hello to you too, Luna." She turned and bowed to me with a genuine smile, but something in me still wanted to growl at her.
"Sir... why is my wolf spirit so agitated?" I asked after bowing back.
"They are werecats, angel. It's on instinct, but we have a treaty of peace with this troop so, don't worry about it." He hummed softly and nodded to them out of respect while he finished up the last piece of his sandwich.
I pressed my wolf down further and sighed in relief. "Are you okay, little one?" Conri asked and I smiled up at him.
"Yes, daddy." I cooed before cutting the link with him and turning my attention back to the werecats.
"Nice to meet you three. May I know what to call you?" I asked softly, showing my respect. According to our books we supposedly didn't read, cats can be worse than the Fae with hierarchical politics.
Ivy smiled brightly and walked up to one of the unoccupied stools, plopping herself on the cushion. "Ivy is fine, Luna." She said, groaning and stretching a bit. "It's been a long day. I'm the leader of the panther werecats in Bodhi Cora." "Woah...like their queen?" Emily said in shock.
Ivy turned to her and glanced at her stomach before looking back into her eyes. "Yes, like their queen, but I prefer to be called by name. Leave the titles with my parents." She added.
"Good, we agree on that front. Ayame is fine with me." I said, skipping over to the fridge. "Would you like something to eat, since you've been traveling a long way?"
"Of course. What do you have?!" She asked excitedly.
I looked around at our leftovers. "We have some stew and cake from dinner yesterday. We also have some chowder I made. Oh and I can also make some sandwiches if that's easier." I furrowed my brow as I started to give myself too many options. "How about just a sandwich for now?" Ivy called.
"I'll go for that cake though." A raspier voice chimed in and I think that would be one of the other two werecats that came with her.
"Sure!" I called over my shoulder and started preparing their meal.
"So, pleasantries aside, what did you mean about nothing will go wrong?" Conri asked.
I finished up the sandwich and handed it to Ivy before cutting a slice of cake for the other girl, who nodded my way, and dug in almost immediately. "Well, Donna came to our boarders a few days ago and since then, there have been murmurs that she is not backing down. I'm sure she will pop up when you least expect it and you should be ready. I'm sure she wanted to talk to my mother, but unlucky for her, it's my pride now." Ivy growled lowly. "Let's just say, I run a tighter ship."
"I've had some of my warriors watching her every move alphas, but she's a slippery one. The one thing I can say is she is angry and preparing for something." The woman with the raspy voice added.
Ivy put down her sandwich and waved her hand over to the woman. "Sorry, this is my second, Amber, and over there is my healer, Leyla." She said, finally introducing the other two women.
I bowed to the both of them. "Nice to meet you. Oh and Leyla, would you like something as well?" I asked curiously.
She nodded and started to sign. I went over and grabbed a notepad and pen from the drawer. Then, I gently handed it to her. "Sorry I'm not good at signing, but I would love to hear from you." I said softly, handing her the notepad.
She blushed and nodded, writing down her order quickly. I scanned the words and tapped her shoulder lightly. She looked up and I nodded to her so she would understand I got the request. I walked over to the cabinet and started making a PB&J for her. "Ha! I think that's the first leader I've ever seen that actually listens to her!" Amber said with a smirk while she threw another piece of cake in her mouth.
"Our mate has a way of surprising people." Edon added with a chuckle.
"Either way, though, thanks for that. Seriously alphas, the reason why we are here, with our leader, is because we overheard something last week that confirmed she will strike at the summit." Amber sighed and rubbed her eyes. "Honestly, I wanted to knock her out of the sky, but you and I both know our treaty means we cannot harm those of the Oden clan."
"That woman is no longer part of our clan!" Papa Oden bellowed irritably.
The three werecats jumped in their seats, and I could see their heckles rise even if it was in my imagination. I cut Leyla's sandwich in half and handed it to her. She smiled and nodded to me happily. Ivy cleared her throat and we all turned our attention back to her. "Alpha Father. That is exactly why we are here. We are happy to know that is the case. I think since we are also attending the summit, we should be able to help protect you all and, since she has been removed from the clan within the treaty, she cannot be protected."
"So, how would you like to go about this? We gave her pardon last time, but I will not make that mistake again." Papa Oden growled.
"Of course, Alpha Father. She will not make it out of the summit alive."
"Dad, maybe we can ask other Alphas to be on the lookout since Ayame is coming with us, they will know who she is and who needs to be...removed." Vil suggested with a dark tint to his eye. No...no...no.
"Good thinking son. We also have the King of Werebears on our side."
Amber dropped her fork in shock. "I'm sorry, what now?!"
I laughed dryly. I still wasn't okay with his decisions, but he's my father, not my child. It's really up to him and I must respect that. However, the reminder that yet another fight is coming...that my dad is putting himself in harms way again. I winced and tried to force it down, but my ears started ringing louder and louder.... Oh no. "Um...yeah.... He's my father?" I forced out, trying to get a hold of myself.
The werecats stared at me in pure shock before Amber grinned darkly. "Oh.... This bitch is going down."
