The Unwanted Luna
Chapter 63

Author's POV

Amelia watched as the battle raged on. With the arrival of the gods and goddesses the undead and forsaken were quickly vanquished. So now only Agron and Khaos remained. The two were tough but the other deities were holding their own.

Agron and Khaos' were occupied with the others so this was the perfect time for Amelia to do what needed to be done. With that in mind she slithered off the clearing and went a little distance away from the fight. Somewhere she could clear her mind and focus. She stood with her legs spread. Thrusting her hands forward as if she was praying or offering supplication, she begins chanting the incantation the fates taught her.

"From realms entwined, I call your names, Gaia, the earth goddess, Aether, the goddess of light and Hemera the goddess of day. Primordial power, awakened flame. Through the depths of self, my essence frees thee, unleash your powers, let them be" "With boundless will, my spirit aligns, I am the vessel, the conduit defined. Through my being, let your essence flow. Awaken now, let your might bestow. Rise O deities of ancient lore, from my core, your presence pour. Unleash your wisdom, your eternal light, ignite the world, and dispel the darkness"

"As powers surge from the depths untold, realms converge, mysteries unfold. Awake, ascend, your presence revealed. By this rite, our destinies entwined. In harmony, our powers combined. Through my essence, the pact is sealed. Arise O ancient deities. Let your presence be known" Nothing happens at first but Amelia keeps chanting. Forgetting all that is happening around. Blocking out that a war is going on. She channels her thoughts and powers into the incantation.

As the incantation escaped her lips over and over again. A surge of energy coursed through her veins. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation and the air grew heavy with power.

Her voice reverberated echoing through the space as she continued on. Determination etched on her face.

With each line of the incantation, her eyes glowed with an otherworldly radiance, reflecting the depths of her inner strength. The ground beneath her feet trembled, responding to the raw power welling up within her. Her fingers outstretched as she channeled her focus and will. "No!" she heard Khaos shout but it was already too late.

Time seemed to stand still as the fabric of reality shimmered and quivered.

Suddenly a blinding light burst forth illuminating the space with an intensity that defied mortal comprehension. The light rippled and swirled, taking on ethereal hues of gold, silver and iridescent blue. The very essence of the primordial deities she had summoned materialized. Their celestial presence filling the field.

As the light gradually subsided, a scene of unparalleled majesty unfolded before her eyes. Towering figures emerged each bearing an aura of ancient power. Their forms were a harmonious blend of human and ethereal, transcending mortal boundaries. Their eyes pools of infinite knowledge and ancient secrets. The air seemed to vibrate with their energy.

Amelia collapsed on her knees. Feeling drained of her energy. Her very essence

"Rise my child" The voice was resonant and melodic.

Amelia stood up all of a sudden feeling rejuvenated. She stared at them in awe as she watched the take on their human form. You didn't have to be told who was who. Their appearances were a dead give away

Gaia the primordial goddess of earth exuded the essence of the natural world. Her flowing locks resembled a lush waterfall. Her skin glowed with an earthy radiance while her eyes were shades of green and brown. She wore a flowing emerald green dress that mimicked the hues of the forest with intricate flower patterns embellished the fabric, intertwining with the threads of her gown. Adorning her head was a crown of intertwined branches and flowers.

Aether had white-silvery hair that shimmered like interstellar dust. Her eyes captivate with a deep indigo hue. She wore a diaphanous gown that resembled the celestial lights. She wore a shimmering gown and adorning her shoulders were translucent glowing wings that embodied the light and energy of the sky.

Hemera radiated warmth and vitality. She had golden hair that cascaded down her back like sunlit rays. Her eyes sparkled like clear blue sky. She wore a flowing gown in shades of golden and orange, reminiscent of sunrise or sunset. The fabric shimmered with hues of daylight and she had on a radiant crown adorned with gemstones.

All three of them turned and faced where Khaos was. Amelia too turned.

"We apologize for our sister's behavior. She has been bitter since the second generation of deities put us to sleep. She believed she should be ruling over them and she has been waiting for the perfect time to strike" Gaia told her.

Amelia watched as the shock quickly faded from Khaos' eyes and anger replaced it.

"Are you strong enough to end her? She's is after all more powerful than any of us" Amelia asked them.

Hemera answered her. "Unlike the generations that came after us, Primordial deities cannot be killed. It's impossible and even if it were possible it wouldn't be recommended. We represent each element. Killing us would destroy the universe. That's why we were put to sleep instead" "We will put her back to sleep and we ourselves will go back to slumber" Aether added.

Amelia didn't get the chance to say anything before Khaos was before them. She didn't give them a chance before she was furiously attacking her sisters.

The three goddess were able to hold their own even though Khaos was clearly stronger than them. Never had Amelia felt such raw power. It was honestly crippling being near them.

The fight had stopped as everyone's focus was on the four goddesses. The fight between them went on for what seemed to be forever. Amelia noticed that they were all starting to get tired. Just like the rest of, if they dispersed to much energy, it would eventually begin to weaken them.

Finally, Aether threw a shard made of light that managed to wound and pierce Khaos' chest. She was shocked and before she could recover from the shock, Gaia used vines that erupted from the ground to hold her down. Immediately Hemera began chanting.

"What are you doing?" Khaos asked trying to get up but Gaia held her own even though you could tell she was weakening.

"What we should have don't along time ago when we realized how unstable you are" Gaia answered her.

"Hurry up, Hemera" Aether pleads, falling on her knees.

Hemera continued on. Speaking in a language that none of the others have ever heard.

For the second time that day, the atmosphere rippled with energy. Khaos started screaming in pain. Agron rushed forward to help his accomplice but with a flick of Hemera's hand we was thrown backwards then pinned down by an invisible force. Amelia watched as Khaos continued screaming. It went on and on with her thrashing against her restraints. After a couple of minutes there was silence before a burst of light broke out and when it cleared Khaos wasn't where she had been. Gaia took a deep breath before turning to Amelia. "I believe our work here is done. You can deal with that one on your own" she told her pointing to Agron was still pinned to the ground.

"What happened Khaos and what was that incantation?" Amelia asked tentatively.

"We bound her powers and then put her to sleep. It was the only wat to make sure she never uses her powers for evil" Hemera answered her.

"Now, our time is up and we must go" Gaia told her.

Amelia nodded her head. "Thank you"

Without a word they disappeared. The moment they did, Agron was released from his confinement and he came charging at Amelia.

"You fucking bitch...you just had to ruin everything! Things were going according to plan until you came back to life"

The others were forgotten as Agron kept throwing balls after balls of energy. Amelia deflected them but one managed to hit her causing her to hit a tree.

"I fucking hate you!" he yelled at her.

Amelia stood up. "Stand down Agron...You already lost, you really don't want to fight me"

"I will destroy and when I am done I will go after everyone you love"

Amelia wanted so much to keep the promise he made to his father but she know that Agron was too far gone. He would never surrender and neither would he change. That left one option. He needed to die.

With that decision in mind, she took a deep breath and channeled her power. She took every little bit of power she had and emptied her essence and when it was at maximum she released it and directed it at Agron. She let out an energy so powerful that it nearly took out everything around her but the other deities managed to contain it.

She then fainted after having depleted all her energy.

She woke up in the same field with the fates waiting for her.

"You did it my dear" the first fate told her.

Amelia ignored that. "Seriously, you guys need to tell me your names. I can't keep referring to you as fate number one, two and three"

They chuckled.

"I'm Atropos" the first fate introduced herself.

"Clotho" second fate told her.

"And I am Lachesis" the final fate said.

Amelia nodded her head. "So am I dead?"

"No, but you're recovering...we brought here to congratulate you on your success" Clotho told her.

Amelia smiled. "Thank you...I couldn't have done it without you"

They smiled back at her.

"The other reason we brought you're here is to know your decision" Atropos said to her.

"My decision about what?" Amelia asked them in confusion.

"Concerning the mate bond. We promised you that we would break the mate bond between you and Xavier if that's what you wanted and if you didn't we would let it be" Lachesis answered her before continuing. "Have you made a decision?"

Amelia looked at them before grinning. "Yes I have"
