The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback -
Chapter 201
Chapter 201:
? ? ? ? ?
Alice was surprised.
Caden pulled her closer, their bodies fitting perfectly.
“How did you know?” she asked, leaning on his shoulders. The space was small, their faces almost touching.
Caden tilted his head slightly.
“I remember your time of the month,” he said bluntly.
Alice was speechless.
Caden's laugh was low and steady. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have let her go with you.”
She was puzzled. “Why would that be something you would remember?”
She thought it was an unimportant detail, especially since their relationship was casual. Most men don't even remember their partner's cycles.
How did he remember his own?
Caden saw her look of surprise and explained, “It's simple. Since we agreed to see each other regularly, I wrote down the days we couldn't. “Those days were difficult for me, and they have stayed in my memory.”
Alice's lips trembled slightly.
She knew she shouldn't expect kindness from him. When her nerves calmed, she pressed her lips together firmly.
Caden gently lifted his chin with his fingers, smirking. “What? Did you think I remembered because I cared?”
Feeling both embarrassed and angry, Alice muttered a curse.
She tried to pull away, but Caden held her firmly and kissed her, reopening the scab on her lip.
Blood began to flow out, causing sharp pain.
Alice moaned from the intense pain.
Caden, softening momentarily, loosened his grip, although his tone remained icy. “Remember this pain. “Avoid it next time.”
“You're asking for trouble in the future,” Caden said, his voice cold.
"How can I look for trouble?" Alice replied defiantly.
"What do you think?" I have replied.
Caden then pulled out a packet of wet wipes and began to clean his hands. She tried to pull her hands away, but Caden held them firmly, leaving red marks on her pale skin. I have cleaned each finger carefully, focusing on the ones that had touched the male companion.
Alice flinched at the abruptness. Through gritted teeth, she asked, "What are you doing?"
“They’re dirty,” Caden replied dryly.
Alice was silent for a moment before blurting out, “Why do you care about my hands?” I didn't touch you. “Let me go, Caden.”
Caden seemed indifferent to her protests, continuing to clean each finger until he was satisfied. Then, his attention turned to her lips.
"Did he kiss you after leaving the bar?" she asked.
Alice, irritated, retort: "So what if he did? You swallowed every trace of him, didn't you?"
Caden's gaze grew even more intense. “Answer me. Did he kiss you?”
"It's none of your business!" said Alice, every word deliberate.
Caden held his face tightly, his eyes burning with anger. It was the first time Alicia had seen him so angry, and the intensity left her confused. Was he jealous? Why would he be? He had always said he had no feelings for her.
Alice tried to turn her head away, refusing to look at him, but he persisted, undaunted. Tears sprang to Alice's eyes, her gaze intense but silent.
For a brief moment, Caden's expression softened.
He let go of her, his voice demanding, “He didn't touch you, did he?” The urgency in his tone was unmistakable.
Tears began to spill down Alice's cheeks.
Caden’s expression softened slightly with concern. “Since when are you so sensitive to pain? “I haven’t been this harsh.”
I have searched her face, looking for any sign of injury. But as he came closer, her vulnerability turned to defiance. She grabbed a handful of his hair and, in a fit of fury, bit his face.
His teeth sank into his skin with all the resentment and frustration he had bottled up. Caden let out a sharp cry of pain.
Alice let go, her breath ragged, but a feeling of satisfaction flooded through her. “We're even now.”
He had bitten her lip and she had retaliated by biting his face. They were both hurt, a strange balance of pain.
Caden stared at her, a mixture of defiance and dissatisfaction on his face. But then, to Alicia's surprise, he seemed to forget his discomfort completely.
He laughed softly, his gaze fixed on her slightly swollen lips.
“That mouth of yours,” he whispered, his voice hoarse and provocative. “What do I feed it to shut it up? “Tell me.”
Alice, used to her taunts, imagined several responses, none of which she vocalized. She stood her ground, her eyes flashing a warning. “Try anything and I’ll bite her off.”
“We’ll see about that later,” Caden replied, unfazed and almost anticipating.
He let go of her and started the car.
Alicia gritted her teeth, preparing for whatever was coming next. As they drove, she mentally mapped out her escape strategies. But when they reached the apartment building, Caden pulled a bag out of the trunk and extracted a dark object.
He handed it to her in a neutral voice. “Put this on your lower abdomen. It will relieve your cramps.”
Alice looked at him, puzzled. “What is this?”
"A thermos with hot water," he explained simply.
Alice, puzzled, examined the object closely. Her emotions were mixed as she stared back at it.
