The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback -
Chapter 42
Chapter 42:
? ? ? ? ?
Alice decided to be direct. “What exactly are you looking for?”
Caden remained calm, his lover as distant as ever. “What is it you want to chase me?” I have asked.
For a moment, Alice was speechless.
This infuriating man was playing along. He acted like he was the one being pressured.
Alice wasn't going to fall for his trick. "I'll stay here. If you can't hear well, I'll speak louder."
Caden leaned back with a relaxed posture. “In that case, let’s talk about the favor you owe me from earlier.”
She looked at him in surprise.
It took her a moment to recall the incident. That day, Caden had lent her a jacket when her period started unexpectedly. Back then, he had mentioned that she owed him.
Naturally, Alice knew that he wouldn't ask her for something simple.
This was the moment she had been anticipating. Accepting that she couldn't avoid it, Alice asked, "So, what do you have in mind?"
“Are you afraid of me?” Caden asked directly.
That question hits harder than any approach I could have taken.
Alice hesitated, but refused to let her guard down. “It's not about fear. You’re a pervert and no one in their right mind would take a risk with you,” she replied.
He wore a sly smile that didn't reach his eyes. "So it seems you like getting close to a pervert, Miss Bennett."
Alice was overcome with anguish. “How can you say something like that out loud?” she exclaimed.
He looked at Gerry, who was still unconscious. Caden knew that nothing could wake Gerry once he had drunk.
Without missing a beat, he continued, “It's just a bit of adult fun between us. If you’re curious, I can tell you more details.”
Finally Alice gave in and sat down next to him. “Okay, I'll listen to you,” she said, sitting down but keeping some distance. “Can you hear me from here?”
However, striking up a conversation wasn't Caden's real intention. He was actually trying to test a theory.
In the past, the women who served drinks fit the classic image of charm. They had innocent faces paired with captivating figures. Their playful banter could have tempted any man.
Caden tried to be interested, but no spark lit inside him.
Now, with Alice sitting beside him, her shrewd eyes shining and her demeanor correct without a hint of flirtation, he noticed something different. He didn't feel a strong attraction, but his presence wasn't unpleasant. Having been intimate twice before, their bodies seemed to recognize a certain chemistry, triggering a subtle reaction.
This realization sets off warnings in Caden's mind. Being naturally sensitive to danger, he felt an instinctive urge to dig deeper.
Caden reached out and pulled Alicia into his lap.
Alice hadn't anticipated it and instinctively pressed her hands against her chest, tightening her legs so as not to slip.
Suddenly, she remembered that Gerry was nearby, and a tingling sensation ran through her scalp. “Caden, Gerry is still here,” she whispered.
Caden held her firmly by the waist, preventing her from escaping.
He looked deeply into her eyes, ignoring everything around them. “Give me a kiss and we will consider your debt settled,” he said.
Alice's mind raced.
Her eyes widened as her heartbeat thundered in her chest.
"Has the alcohol affected your brain?" I have asked.
Had he gone mad?
Caden leaned into her, his warm breath brushing her face.
“We've kissed before. Why are you feeling shy now?”
Alice took a deep breath.
“Returning in favor should be nice. Why does this feel like a punishment?” she asked. “Caden, what are you thinking?”
Caden's gaze grew more intense.
He gently pressed his thumb against her lips as if to tease her.
What was I thinking?
I wanted to fully experience the connection they shared.
“If you agree, it will only be a kiss,” she said in a low, seductive voice. “But if you continue to hesitate, I might be tempted to go further.”
The words “go further” hit Alice like an adrenaline rush.
Suddenly he felt his mouth go dry.
Alice agreed, driven by a competitive spirit or a deeper desire.
“Have you thought this through?” he asked, forcing himself to remain calm. “A kiss will settle the debt, okay? You can’t go back on your word.”
“A French kiss,” Caden specified.
Even though she had prepared herself, a blush spread across Alice's cheeks.
She grabbed his shirt tightly and said, “Fine, a French kiss it is. You better keep your word.”
Caden remained motionless, but a hint of desire gleamed in his eyes. “Mm.”
Alice took a deep breath and closed her eyes, preparing herself for what she was about to do.
Caden waited a few moments, but she still didn't move.
Getting impatient, he asked, "What are you waiting for?"
Alicia took another deep breath. “I’m just trying to psych myself up, trying to imagine you’re a handsome celebrity so this will be easier.”
Caden gave a soft chuckle at his comment.
She closed her eyes and leaned toward her lips. That night, when they were drunk, they had shared a long kiss.
Alicia's kissing skills had clearly improved since then.
After a moment of passionate embrace, he pulled away and whispered in her ear, “You're learning fast, Miss Bennett.”
His voice was husky and mocking, full of desire and satisfaction.
Alice's mind went momentarily blank as a wave of desire washed over her.
She quickly regained her composure and stepped away from Caden, even though her body felt weak. “It's over,” she said.
But the hand holding her waist showed no signs of letting go.
She looked at him with a mixture of confusion and growing desire.
Caden didn't go any further than they had agreed. After letting go of her, his hand remained on her delicious waist.
"Well, then the favor is repaid," he commented.
He looked at his crotch.
The tightness in his pants confirmed what she already suspected. He was clearly aroused.
Alice noticed it too, and her thoughts became even more chaotic. Nervous, she hurriedly climbed off his lap. At that moment, Gerry suddenly woke up from his deep sleep.
