"What kind of party is it?" Tom asked.

Phoebe said, "I don't know. Natalia didn't tell me very clearly. She just said it would be a fun party.She asked me to come over tomorrow night.”

"Are you close to this Natalia?" Tom asked again.

Phoebe saw his serious look, smiled, and said, "Why are you so serious? Are you worried thatNatalia will do something to me?"

Tom said, "That's not what I meant. After all, it's better to be careful."

Phoebe held his hand, laced their fingers, and said with a smile, "Don’t worry. Natalia is myclassmate in primary school. She is from a good family and works hard. Now she runs a companywith her husband. She won't do anything to me.”

Tom nodded when he heard that. Since Phoebe had said so, it was not good for him to ask anythingmore. When he was free, he would call Elliot and ask him to investigate Natalia and her husband.At this point, he had to be careful in everything, especially when Phoebe was involved. Phoebe felt even more ashamed and remorseful. She lowered her head and said, "How about I .."Tom quickly stopped her and glared at her. "What are you talking about? Am I the kind of man whoonly thinks about sex to you?"

"But it must be very uncomfortable since every time you didn't..."

"Bullshit. Who said I was uncomfortable? I am very happy.” Tom put his arm around her and rubbedher nose. He smiled and said, "Okay, let's not talk about this. I think your parents are coming backsoon. Let's go downstairs to greet them.”

Phoebe lowered her head and held his hand, not letting him leave.

Tom immediately looked at her curiously. "Phoebe?"

Phoebe said in a low voice with her head lowered, "Tom, if one day I disappear, what will you do?"Tom immediately frowned and said in a deep voice, "Phoebe, what are you talking about? Whywould you disappear?”

Suddenly, Tom realized something was wrong. He sat up abruptly and grabbed Phoebe's shoulders.He looked straight at Phoebe and said, "Phoebe, tell me, did something happen? Did someonethreaten you?"

At this moment, Tom exuded a strong, frightening aura. His thought turned the whole room into ahorrible hell-like place.

Phoebe's mind went blank and she began to gasp!

Tom quickly withdrew his terrifying aura. He hugged Phoebe and said, "Phoebe, what happened?Did LT Organization come to you?"

Tom gritted his teeth. He was especially angry now, and his face was ferocious. He thought that itmust be someone from LT Organization who found Phoebe and threatened her, or Phoebe wouldn'thave said those!

They had been married for many years, so Tom knew Phoebe very well. He knew that Phoebe wasnot emotionally unstable. Something bad must have happened!

And all he could think of was LT Organization. Only they could and would dare to threaten Phoebelike this!

Tom had never had a good impression of LT Organization and even was full of hostility. Sooner orlater, he would go to LT Organization to avenge his mother and the Howards!

He didn't do anything now, not because he was cowardly, but because he knew that he was notpowerful enough. He endured the humiliation because he was waiting for an opportunity to attackLT Organization!

Phoebe felt Tom's anger and his terrible emotion. She was frightened and quickly shook her head."No, no! No one threatened me. I just thought of it myself."

Tom didn't believe in Phoebe at all. He said seriously, "Phoebe, you don't have to be afraid. Tell me,who threatened you? I am much stronger than you think! No matter how powerful that person is, Ican keep you safe. Tell me, okay?"

Phoebe was moved by Tom's deep and serious eyes. She said softly, "No one threatened me. I amserious.”

Tom stared straight at Phoebe, trying to see through Phoebe through her eyes.

Phoebe didn't say anything, which meant no one had threatened her. Tom was shocked. She herselfsuddenly had this idea?

"Really?"

"Yes! I am very serious!"

Phoebe nodded hard. Tom heaved a sigh of relief and rolled his eyes. "You scared the shit out of mejust now. I thought someone threatened you."

Phoebe stuck out her tongue and said, "Wherever I go, bodyguards follow me. No one dares tothreaten me."

Tom pretended to be angry, tickled Phoebe, and said, "How dare you play jokes on me? See what Iam doing to you."

"Don't... It tickles..." Phoebe giggled.

In the end, Phoebe surrendered, panting. When Tom went to take a shower, Phoebe's eyes dimmed.Two lines of tears streamed down her bright eyes.
