Alissa's

POV

I stood in front with my my head held high as everyone cheered and clapped.

My heart was beating so fast.

The crown sat on my head as I stood there as elegantly as I could.

Then, finally, the crown was taken off my head and replaced with a tiara.

I almost sighed in relief.

Everyone continued to clap and cheered for a while until I was escorted to the back.

I sighed in relief as soon asl was out of sight.

Then, Luke came as well and wrapped me in a hug.

I hugged him back as I buried my face in his chest.

Ghad. That was absolutely nerve wrecking.

"You did well, my Queen" he said and planted a kiss on the top of my head.

I relaxed a bit as I hugged Luke and took deep calming breaths.

Luke lightly caressed my back and after some time, he spoke.

"Let's go get changed for the after party so you'll be more comfortable" he said.

I nodded in agreement and he held my hand as we made our way to our room to change.

I'll need to meet the make up artists as well for a touch up before the after party.

Luke and I reached our room and we both changed into different clothes.

I changed into a crisscross back high split dress paired with black high heeled sandals.

A pair of makeup artists came to Luke and I's room and changed my makeup a little so it looks more suiting to what I was wearing.

Luke watched as he buttoned his tux.

My hair was fixed and a tiara was secured on my head.

After some time, I finished preparing and the makeup artists left.

I got up and Luke held me by the waist giving me a gentle kiss on the lips.

I wiped his lips a little because of the lipstick and Luke smiled.

"In all honesty, I'd prefer we just stay here" he said pulling me closer and putting his face by my neck.

I chuckled.

"Don't give me that. We have a ton of guests waiting. Sol pack members and Crescent Moon pack members must be waiting for the both of us" I reminded him. Luke sighed.

"Okay" he said and I held his hand and intertwined it with mine.

Then, I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"We're spending the rest of our lives together. We have a lot of time to spend it with each other. For now, let's meet our other loved ones" I said.

Luke nodded and we made our way out of the room.

We went down to the ballroom and we stood by the entrance to enter through the doors.

"His majesty, King Luke and her majesty, Queen Alisaa have arrived"

I held onto Luke's arm.

Then, the door was opened for us as we made our way to the front.

I waved and smiled like I was taught as Luke kept a serious face and we made our way down the stairs.

Luke held my hand by his arm and we were greeted by guests as we made our way to our seat.

We made our way to the front and I saw Sol pack members and Crescent Moon members and greeted them with a smile and a hug.

Then, we reached the front table where Lia, Lucas and Denisse were seated.

Lia and Denisse hugged me.

"Congrats, babe" Denisse said.

"Congratulations, sister" Lia said and the 3 of us chuckled.

Then, I turned to Lucas and gave me a hug as well.

"Congratulations, Ali" he whispered and gave me an endearing kiss on my temple.

I smiled.

"Thank you" I said.

"Honey"

I turned to look where my mom was and went to her.

I held Luke's hand and pulled him with me to our parents' table.

I gave my mom and aunt Livi a hug and a kiss and a hug for uncle Axel and uncle Luan.

"Congratulations, gorgeous" aunt Livi said.

I smiled.

"Thank you" I said with a smile.

"Ali!" Bry squealed and hugged me as I hugged him back.

Bry gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"You look pretty" he said and I chuckled and kissed the tip of his nose.

He looked so cute in his tuxedo and I lightly squeezed his cheek.

"And you look like a handsome young man" I said and he held his high proudly before hugging me again.

We exchanged a few words with our parents and then came back to our seats and Bry came along.

Bry sat beside me and not long after he sat down, Enzo also came with his mom and dad.

I hugged them and they congratulated me.

We had small talk and then they returned to their seat while Enzo stayed behind and played with my brother.

Everything was going so well but then I turned to look at the other tables and beside Sol and Crescent Moon pack members, I also saw another group of wolves. Eero Hayes and his men.

Hayes was looking at our table. Specifically Liana.

He looked a bit rough than the last time I saw him. It was evident that he was suffering without his mate by his side.

I imagined it was the same for Luke when he found out I was his mate but couldn't be with me.

He looked worn out and depressed.

The after party continued on and we were served with our food and ate.

It was a great day and I realized that I didn't have to be so anxious after all.

After eating, Luke and I went around to talk with other wolves present in the party.

My mind was working at maximum as I tried to familiarize myself with all the different packs and Alphas and other leaders.

Still, I thought it was such an interesting experience and I was starting to adjust little by little.

So far, everything is going well.

I hope it stays that way.

We kept meeting other wolves and Luke was talking to one of the Alphas when I saw Hayes walk to ghe balcony.

I looked back at our table and saw Liana still there.

So they aren't meeting.

I don't think I've seen them interact once since the event started.

"Excuse me for a moment while I take a quick breather" I said.

Luke looked at me.

"Are you okay?" he asked worried.

I nodded.

"I'm fine. I just need a moment, okay?" I said.

Luke hesitantly nodded and I excused myself from everyone.

I walked to the balcony and saw Hayes there alone.

I went out to the balcony where he was.

Hayes glanced at me and sighed.

"What are you doing here, your highness?" he said looking in front.

I also looked in front.

"I'd prefer for you to not call me that. It's not a very good fit hearing it from you" I said.

"What is it?" he asked annoyed.

I looked at him.

"Have you talked to Liana?" I asked.

"No. Have you seen how her other brother guards her like some kind of bodyguard?" he said.

I chuckled.

Lucas.

"You do want to talk to her, no?" I asked.

"I do but why does it matter? As long as she hasn't come of age, I can't really do anything else except talk, can I?" he said.

I nodded.

Hayes sighed.

"I'm not lying about anything, you know" he said.

I nodded again.

He massaged the bridge of his nose.

"How much longer do I have to wait?" he said.

"A few more months" I said.

"But then, there's still no guarantee on anything" I added.

Hayes' jaw clenched.

"Are you in a hurry?" I said and he looked at me for a moment.

"You don't know the feeling of having no control over a longing feeling for someone because of this stupid mate bond" he said.

"I actually do know a little bit about it" I said and Hayes just looked at me waiting for me to continue.

"Luke and I didn't mark and mate with each other after we met. We fought and argued almost every for like weeks or months, I think" I said. "Why?" he said.

I shrugged.

"I'm just saying that you need to be a little more patient. You guys will eventually get there" I said.

Hayes bit his lower lip and slowly nodded.

"Hopefully" he said.

"I should go back" I said.

Hayes nodded.

I was going back inside when Hayes spoke again.

"Congratulations" he said.

I looked back at him and smiled.

"Thanks" I said and went back.

I went back to Luke.

"Where did you go?" he asked me.

"In the balcony" I said.

Luke nodded.

Eventually, Luke and I went back to our table.

Hayes was back to their table as well and I caught Lia glancing at him from time to time.

I smiled a little.

Oh Liana.
