Stacey was the one to break Ciara’s thoughts .

“oooh cheer up now, won’t you, since Liam is enjoying himself at the party, why not have a party of our own here?”

With Lisa being one who loved living it up, she readily agreed and even offered to go out and get some drinks for the bunch.

Left with no choice Ciara” volunteered to make a few dishes, as they would at some point need to eat. Although she had said she would make a few dishes Ciara ended up cooking up a feast.

Seeing Liam walking out with a woman beside him, Finnick and Matthew were so shocked that their mouths were agape, and did not know to react for a while. Realizing that their actions were somehow rude and seemed unwelcoming , the boys were a little embarrassed and apologized.

Liam on the other hand was not bothered by this, and continued to introduce the lady with him to his friends.

“This is… Uhm.. right!”

That’s exactly when he realized he never really got the name of this woman. But still was not bothered by that, as he felt that she wasn’t at all important to him, for him to remember her name. So when he said ‘Right!’ he was actually looking at the woman indicating that she should introduce herself instead.

Fortunately the lady understood, and without the least bit of embarrassment or awkwardness she introduced herself. It was a good thing that she was an easy going bubbly person.

“Hello my name is Annie Wilson, I am a friend of Liam here” she then winked at him revealing a sly smile.

“huh, friends I see. So tell us how close are you as friends.

” cough cough….. Uuuh well enough to introduce me to yarll I guess”

Everyone broke out in laughter, even the eavesdropping Maggie smiled even though she didn’t get much of what the conversation was about.

To her it was just a great scene, especially witnessing her son interacting with someone from the opposite s*x so freely something she has never seen.

This brought her so much joy that she would occasionally come to their table and brought them snacks. Making sure that Annie felt comfortable. Even though Liam and Annie were not in any way intimate with each other, but Maggie still felt that it was something. It was something that they could build on.

So Maggie’s action brought jealousy from the other singles, they all envied Annie as they thought that she had captured Liam’s heart. They also vowed to use the next available chance to sway Liam’s heart.

Little did they know that Annie was not even interested in Liam in fact, there was one lady within the crowd who had caught her eye.

That woman was actually her girlfriend and they would from time to time steal glances and smiled sweetly at each other. But of course the other women weren’t aware of that, to them Annie had seduced Liam.

While everyone was still depressed over the fact that Liam had been claim, his table though, was livelier than the rest. They were not at all bothered by the the stares of others in fact at that moment Annie was telling them about her girlfriend, and how lucky she was to have her. They chatted for a while then Liam remembered that there was someone still waiting for him at home. He took out his phone and scrolled to the one picture he wanted to see the most,, it was a picture of Ciara sleeping peacefully.

He looked at it for a while not noticing the quiet Finnick also looking at the picture.

He stood up while smiling and bade farewell to his friends.

“yah I’ll have to get going, there are things I need to do at home, see you later”.

Figuring that Liam might be going to see this woman on the picture, Finnick also wanted to go.

“Hey can I come as well, there are things I left at your house that I need to get.”

“No!”

Finnick shot Matthew the sweet talker a glare, and he immediately got the hint, he then started persuading Liam….

When Lisa finally came back with the drinks, she noticed that the table had already been set and Stacey was helping Ciara bring out the food from the kitchen to the dining table. It was indeed a feast.

” Hey so much food, are you trying to feed the whole of South Africa or what? We are never gonna finish this food.”

“it’s a party Lisa, let’s live it up, besides if there are any left overs we will both take a box home. Simple.”

With that Stacey took the remote and played soft music to go with the mood. They started to dance slowly moving their heads to the rhythm of the music, while still waiting for Ciara to finish making the last dish.

They would occasionally shout out, trying to speak to her while she was in the kitchen with them being in the sitting area.

“Hey Cici how do you think Liam would react when he replaces out that we had a party at his place?”

That was Lisa asking, it’s only now that she thought of how the party will end. she thought maybe if Liam got there while they were still enjoying themselves, he’ll probably get angry and chase them out, even worse punish their friend. Everyone heard about Liam’s ruthlessness.

“As long as we behave ourselves like proper adults, I don’t think there would be a problem I guess.”

She too wasn’t sure how Liam would react, although he’s been very gentle and caring toward her she felt it was still early to tell.
