Chapter 79

He went straight to the guests bathroom and took a shower, then quietly walked to their bedroom opened the door trying his best not wake Ciara up.

He got in bed then pulled up the blanket.

” You are not about to sleep with an empty stomach are you?”

That voice freaked him out a little, all this while he had thought that Ciara was sleeping.

” Hey why are you not sleeping at this time.?”

” Well as you can see I’m waiting for you, now get up, you need to eat something. “

” I’m too tired, and already had a snack at work.”

With that Liam pulled Ciara closer to him so that she won’t ask him more questions, and he fell asleep immediately after that.

A few hours later when Liam woke up, he found that Ciara wasn’t sleeping next to him as it would always be the case every morning when he woke up. He was confused and thought something had happened, without even brushing his teeth he rushed downstairs to look for her.

As he went down the steps he was welcomed by aromas coming from the kitchen, he walked closer and found his wife busy making breakfast. While Ciara was still turning her eggs on the stove, Liam came from the back and hugged her tightly.

” Good morning sweetheart.”

He greeted her with his hoarse morning voice. Ciara turned around and gave him a light peck on his lips and instructed.

” Go and freshen up, I need you to eat something before you go to work.”

” feeling pity for your man?”

” Oh God, just go. “

Although Ciara was pushing him out of the kitchen it was evident from the blush that filled her face that what Liam said is true.

As he didn’t have much time in his hands, he quickly went up stairs again and took his morning shower and got ready for work and about 30 minutes later he made his way to the dining table to have his breakfast and left for work.

After Liam had left the house Ciara cleared the table and also got ready for her appointment with Wilson. She was only wearing her lounge wear, she just couldn’t the need of dressing up when the person she is meeting is not even important to her at all.

She took her car keys and walked out to the address Wilson had sent her which was surprisingly his house. When she got the she informed the security that she was meeting the mayor but did not introduce herself as family and that man disgusted her to the core. After a minute or so, the security guard opened the gate for her and she drove straight toward the house and parked her car not far from the main entrance door.

She knocked and the made opened the door for her as she was already aware of her arrival. As she walked in she saw Annie walking down the stairs and they both felt awkward when they saw each other.

” Hey Cee, nice to see you, what brings you here?”

Ciara did not bother about their relationship and was not there to socialize, so she went straight to the point.

“only you father can truly answer that, where is he. Kindly tell him I’m here as he requested.”

“oh OK.”

Annie awkwardly turned back and went Wilson’s office to inform him about Ciara’s irrival but was asked to bring her in.

” Hey CiCi, he is waiting for you in his office.”

Ciara only nodded in acknowledgement and followed Annie to the direction of the office.

Once inside, she did not even wait till they were the only people in the room but shot her question.

” Now tell me Wilson why are you doing this, what did grandpa and Liam do to you to punish them huh? Does PA even deserve to die, tell me why? Why did you poison him he’s your family for heaven sake?”

” Hahaha Hahahaha Family? Oh Ciara don’t act all holy here, I clearly asked you to stay away from Liam to help your sister and what did you do, huh. Did you not got straight to the marriage registry office and got married to him, now you are here preaching about family huh? “

Right there she knew there was nothing she could say that would change his insanity.

” What do you want Wilson. “

Wilson smiled evilly at her before answering her question.

” what makes you think I want something from you, you clearly couldn’t give me what I wanted. I warned you that I will force your hand but you and Liam played me and now my dear it is time to pay.”

“No Liam did nothing wrong to you, if you want someone to punish vent on me, punish me, kill me, what ever it is you want but leave Liam and grandpa out of this.”

” Clever, I can never be able to touch Liam nor his family members but I can always distract him with his business., and with you around him he will always fear your safety and neglect his businesses so either way, I will get what I want. I will take down everyone you care for, one by one till you break up with Liam. Trust me with all the load Liam has on his hands, he definitely won’t do anything to me. “

” what do you mean? “

Now Ciara’s voice was low, doubting she would ever be able to stop her uncle from this madness.

” what I mean, oh dear Ciara is that 3 days from now your husband’s company will shutdown if you don’t do as I say. Oh and before I forget this is not the time for you to be thinking about solutions, each day from these 3 days I’m giving you one person you care about will be in the same situation as grandpa. Make the decision fast and wisely. Don’t waist time.”

” but how will I know that you are not going to kill all of them? “

” Well you will have to trust me, either way I have the antidote. “
