The Woman From Hell
Chapter 2592

Neil's gaze swept over me, an awkward smile lingering on the corner of his mouth. "What do you think?"

I lowered my eyes. I was rather tired, but when I mulled over his words carefully, I could not help but look up and ask with surprise, "Could you be interested in me?"

A word spoken was an arrow let fly. Even if I wanted to take back my question, I could not.

He smiled first and then nodded as if he had just realized it. "You're right. I'm interested in you. Why would I care so much about you otherwise?"

"I'm divorced with three children. You have such good prospects. You should consider other women." I could not afford the so-called love anymore.

Neil smiled at me. "I know. Don't think too much about it. I don't expect any results. It's fine like this."

His bright smile also relieved me. "That's good."

"I heard Yards are going to participate in the bid for Astral Garden today. They probably designed your win over North Courts yesterday since they've set their eyes on Astral Garden." Neil did not usually talk much, but he had a clear understanding of things.

He was intimate about the current trends and dynamics. I just had no idea where he learned all these things.

Pursing my lips, I smiled. "Yeah, I fell into his trap without realizing it. Now that I think about it, I'm really stupid." "Silas was the one who was so cunning, convincing the people around you. You can do it too," Neil said. "You're right, I can, but I didn't expect him to be the one to betray me."

I had thought that whoever it was, it would never be Marius.

My eyes dimmed. I was feeling a little disappointed at the mention of him.

Sensing he had misspoken, Neil softened his voice. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. You should eat."

"It's fine. I have to face it eventually. You didn't come to my apartment yesterday night, did you?" I was in a daze yesterday and could have opened the door for someone.

Neil was puzzled at my question, his movements stopping. "No. What's the matter? Was there a burglar?"

"No, I was just asking."

He lived the closest to this place. If it was not Neil, then could it be him?

After breakfast, I went back to change my clothes and put on makeup. Then, I went to Green Orange.

Seeing me arrive at the company, Shannon hurriedly came forward to greet me. "How are you feeling, Wanda? Is your head still dizzy?"

"I'm feeling well."

"Good. You should drink more warm water. You still got a bunch of work waiting for you in a bit."

Now that we had managed to bid for North Courts, it was necessary for us to plan carefully.

Today, I made an appointment with Tyler and Brian to discuss our direction. A huge amount of money would be needed during the

development stage, and the three of

us were troubled by this.

"If we develop based on our funds, this project will be very far away from its completion and the land will definitely be lost to us." Tyler frowned, puzzled.

Brian Wagner was an anxious

person and could no longer sit still

already. "Although I occupy the majority of North Courts, I can't rely on myself alone to support the funds. Schuman Corporation and Green Orange have to continue with theirs."

"The money I can take out of Green Orange now is so little. I don't think it's enough." "Then, what do you say we do now? We can't waste the land."

Tyler and exchanged glances. I looked at Brian and said calmly, "Chairman Wagner, don't worry, I'm just wondering if perhaps we shouldn't be in such a hurry to develop North Courts."

"What did you say?!" Brain obviously was unable to comprehend this as he spread his hands. "If we don't develop it, won't this land be wasted?!"
