The Woman From Hell -
Chapter 2651
Judging from Theo's tone, it was obvious he had known Neil since a long time ago.
Yet none of them mentioned anything when I first introduced them. I frowned. This matter did not seem like a simple one.
I did not mean to eavesdrop, but their conversation and expressions made me want to listen in further.
Neil raised his head, there was a flash of complication in his quiet eyes, but his tone was gentle and sincere. "Believe it or not, I truly didn't come back with some other purpose. I just didn't want to stay abroad alone anymore." "Alone..." Theo repeated. He lowered his gaze slightly as if thinking about something. When he looked up the next second again, his eyes were stern. "Haven't you been alone after coming back too? What are you planning?" Neil replied the instant he heard Theo's question. "Nothing, of course. At least you're here. Knowing that we're in the same city makes me feel a lot more secure."
The corners of Theo's mouth turned up slightly. There seemed to be some kind of emotion in Theo's eyes, but it was not a simple one. It somehow felt like something was hidden within them.
"You came to Whaldorf City to approach Wanda. Is that called nothing?" Theo approached Neil sharply, his aura compelling. He was like an iceberg, wanting to freeze Neil before him. I rarely ever saw Theo lose control like this.
What exactly did Theo mean by that? Should I ask Theo about it directly or hide here and listen in?
Head lowered, I recalled the unusual expression Theo wore whenever he met Neil. Would Theo answer truthfully though even if I were to ask?
Just as I was thinking, Neil's voice reached my ears. "I didn't mean to. It was just a coincidence. I came back and went to live in the previous apartment. I didn't know she would be there." "It really wasn't part of my plan to meet Wanda. Believe me, Brother."
Brother?
I was stunned when I heard Neil refer Theo as that.
Why was Neil calling Theo that? Could they be brothers?
In my surprise, I heard a clatter from beside me.
My first reaction was that it was the paparazzi. Turning to the direction of the sound, I indeed saw a man with a camera in hand, snapping photos. A paparazzo!
I ran up to him and grabbed his hand. "Hey, what photos are you taking?"
Having said that rather loudly, Theo and Neil turned to look in my direction simultaneously. I turned to them. "He just snapped a photo."
Theo strode toward me menacingly when he heard that.
The paparazzo likely noted that the situation was devolving and pushed me to the ground forcefully before bucking out of there. Theo came to help me. "That guy..."
"I'll go after him." Neil ran in the direction the paparazzo took off immediately after saying that.
Although the ground was flat, he had pushed me when I was in heels and my calf ended up getting scratched. It was bleeding even. "Are you okay?" Theo's voice was gentle.
His expression was soft, completely unlike the imposing visage he had facing Neil just now.
"I'm fine. You didn't come back, so I came to look for you," I whispered.
Theo helped me up onto a rock to the side. Lifting the hem of my dress, he looked over my injury and frowned at what he saw. I smiled "It's nothing, just a superficial wound. That paparazzo might have taken a photo of you."
"Did you hear everything?" Theo ignored my comment about the paparazzo and asked directly.
I pursed my red lips slightly.
Although I did not want to admit it, it seemed unlikely that I could dodge him now I could only nod. "Yes, I heard some of it. But I don't know what's going on. Can you... Can you tet me about it?"
