The Woman From Hell
Chapter 2656

I saw Marius and Luna chatting pleasantly, but the smile on Marius' face seemed more like a storm to me.

I regretted doing this.

Time slowly passed, and Marius finally escorted Luna out of the restaurant. I followed Shannon, and we only showed ourselves after seeing Luna get into a cab.

Shannon placed a hand on Marius' shoulder and smiled. "What do you think? Miss Blanche is pretty good, no? I noticed you two talking pleasantly just now."

He did not answer Shannon but set his gaze on me who was behind her. He walked to me, the smile disappearing from his face. "Did you set Miss Blanche up for me?" "Didn't we already say with did it together-"

"You, quiet. I want to hear her speak." Marius cut Shannon off and turned his gaze to me, expression serious.

I knew I failed to handle this matter properly. Opening my mouth, I said a little nervously, "I just thought how nice it'd be if you had someone with you."

Marius cast his face to the side, only looking back at me after a long time passed. He let out a chuckle that sounded harsh in my ears. "You want to get rid of me. That's why you tried to introduce me to someone. So that I wouldn't pester you anymore, right?" "N-No, I-"

"You didn't have to do this. If you thought that my presence was affecting you, you could have just told me and I'd disappear." I could tell Marius' disappointment when he said this.

I could not help the tears forming in my eyes. I was feeling a little aggrieved and sad. I struggled to open my mouth. "I didn't think about it like this. I just really hoped that you could be happy. I meant nothing else." "Wish I could be happy... It seems you really don't understand what I want." Marius shook his head and laughed silently.

I noticed the deep emotion hidden in his eyes before it disappeared again. This must have really hurt him. "Marius, I'm sorry. I didn't know that this would hurt you. I really didn't mean anything else by this."

Shannon came over and shoved

Marius away, "Marius, enough. I persuaded Wanda to do this. I picked the girl out too. This has nothing to do with Wanda. If you

want to blame someone, blame me."

"How could it have nothing to do with her? Didn't she acquiesce?" Marius turned away, his head lowered. "Okay then. I'll do as you wish. Luna is a pretty good girl. I'l contact her."

When Marius said this, he turned around to look at me. There was a darkness in his eyes. "Are you satisfied now?"

My heart shivered when he said this. It felt like I was going to lose him as a friend.

I stared at him but could not get a single word out, so I watched him quietly as he left.

Marius' back looked so decisive for the first time.

I did not fight the tears as they came rolling down and stumbled for a moment. Shannon supported me. "Wanda, are you okay? Marius is simply unreasonable and vexatious. We were just thinking about what was best for him, yet he treated you like that. He failed to see your good intention."

I lowered my head, my tears falling one after another. "We're the ones who were wrong, Shannon. We didn't consider his feelings."

I was filled with regret at this moment, but there was no way to reverse it. We could not take back what we had done.

"Forget it, Wanda. I'll send you back."

"Go back first, Shannon. I want to go walk around alone."

"But-"

"I'll be fine. Just leave me alone with some quiet." I gripped Shannon's hand, my gaze firm.

Shannon nodded. "Alright then. Be careful. If anything happens, call me."

"Alright."
