The Woman From Hell -
Chapter 2704
I followed the girls to the filming place.
I really only just found out that there was a beach here after staying here so long. The scenery was so good too.
They were shooting at the front, and the girls just now were infatuated with the man acting in the movie.
He was Arthur.
He looked like he was in his early 20s. He was pretty good-looking, but what people found unforgettable were his peach-blossom eyes that were able to lure people in.
I did not look at him much. I just wanted to come here and be part of the fun.
As I was about to leave, a familiar voice stopped me.
I turned around and saw Cindy.
"Why are you..."
Cindy interrupted me before I could finish. "I should be asking you that, no?"
"I came to relax," I replied.
Cindy looked so much more mature than she did before. She took off her sunglasses and looked at me. "Theowy is going through such a huge problem right now and you still have the heart to relax here?" Her words were laced with sarcasm, but I did not care.
"Did you come here to chase celebrities? Arthur is in my company. I can help introduce you to him."
Another taunt.
I shook my head. "No, I just came here to look. I'll go first now."
Cindy abruptly grabbed my hand. It just so happened that their shoot was over, so Cindy beckoned to Arthur, and he came over with a smile on his face. "Cindy, what's up?"
Cindy's sharp eyes landed on me. "Do you know her? She's Wanda Lane, the wife of President Grant of Grant Corporation. She's a fan of yours. Join her for dinner tonight."
I smacked her hand away. For a moment, I wanted to give her an explanation, but when the words reached my lips, I swallowed them back. "Cindy, no matter what you think of me now, I've nothing to say. But please don't talk to me with that weird tone."
"I only know that you abandoned Theowy when he's struggling the most. Every time I go to visit him, he has to force himself to smile. He thinks he won't allow me to curse you. knew this would happen, I wouldn't have given him to you!"
won't be able to tell. Even so,
Cindy's words were like a sharp blade piercing into my heart.
If I
Of course, it was not the despicable things she said about me but what she mentioned about Theo.
My heart felt sour, and for a moment, words evaded me.
"My apologies. If you don't need me for anything, then I'll be heading back to my shoot first." Arthur had been standing in between Cindy and me awkwardly.
Cindy glanced at him. "Go ahead." Then, she lowered her head and looked at me. "If you still have any conscience left, go back and accompany Theowy. Don't let him face it all alone." "I can't go back."
"What did you say?"
Meeting her sharp gaze, I repeated. "I'm not going back. I'll leave now."
I had just taken a tiny step when Cindy's voice sounded from behind me again. "Is there something going on?"
As if having realized something, Cindy stepped forward. "You guys have gone through so much together. I don't quite believe that you're this kind of person."
I pursed my dry lips and turned to look at her. "My being here has to be kept secret."
Cindy's expression was solemn,
likely because mine was too. "Alright got it. But you shouldn't
come here. There are a lot of paparazzi here. It won't be good if they catch you."
"I'm leaving now."
I quickly left the scene. I did not expect to meet Cindy here. Judging from her tone, Theo did not seem to be doing well, but I could not do anything but wait here,
I had a bad feeling while I was making my way back. It was as if something was about to happen.
