The Woman From Hell -
Chapter 2710
Nibel lowered his gaze. He was probably filled with disappointment toward the Yards.
Sylvester spoke up before even waiting for him to reply, "When it comes to business, there are only benefits. Are you telling me you're not using us, Mr. Nibel?"
Nibel went up to him when he said that. "You're right, President Yard. Since this is the case, let's part with no hard feelings."
Sylvester gave me a meaningful look before he left and walked out of the conference room.
What did he mean by that look...
I watched Sylvester's back as he left, only looking away once he was further gone. Somehow, something felt off.
Then, my phone rang.
It was a text message from Sylvester asking me to meet him when I was free and that he had something very important to tell me.
What else was there between him and me?
I could not think of this too much now. I put away my phone and refocused my gaze on Nibel.
"Why don't you just stick with us, Mr. Nibel? Isn't it cold up there at the top alone?" Theo reached his hand out to express his goodwill to him first.
Nibel was a very proud man and just when I thought he would refuse, he reached his hand out. "While I may not be that willing, a loss is a loss. Also, my signing this merger agreement now doesn't mean that I won't make another move in the future." "I'm always available."
Their two hands came together and it looked like both their grips were pretty powerful.
Theo looked appreciative of Nibel.
The matter was resolved and the stone on top of my heart also rolled off. "If there is a next time, I hope you'd consider challenging me openly. It's not so good to do everything in the dark after all."
"Actually, whatever happened before were all the Yars' ideas. They said we would be more likely to win that way. I didn't quite accept that kind of behavior, but I was blinded. I would like to apologize to you here."
Nibel was a straight person and I admired his ability to bend.
In the end, Nibel signed the contract. From then on, Pristine joined Grant Corporation. Nibel admitted frankly that he would return abroad and that he would assign someone to take
care of Pristine on his
After seeing off Nibel, I saw a smile on everyone's face. "It's finally over."
"Yes, it's over." Theo put his hands in his pockets and looked down at me with a sweet smile on his lips.
Our play this time had been the biggest but it finally reached a pleasant end.
Neil lowered his gaze as a wave of embarrassment drifted across his face. "So... I'll be leaving first."
"Wait. Neil's help was indispensable in our ability to resolve this matter so wholly this time, isn't that right, Theo?" I asked, tilting my head.
Theo did not reply to me, but his expression had eased. He likely had lesser prejudice against Neil now.
"Since the fact about us has been
made public, Theo, you should also let Neil go home now, right?" I said in a vague manner but Theo definitely understood what I meant. However, a long time passed yet Theo said nothing.
At this moment, Marius and Shannon who were at the side also echoed me. "Yes, Neil did a very good job this time."
"Theowy, even I understand that we
shouldn't begrudge the descendants of those who did the wrong. you should be able to accept this younger brother of yours, no?" Cindy rarely speaks up for others.
Still, Theo remained silent.
Neil looked at us and shrugged his shoulders helplessly. "Forget it. You guys shouldn't force him anymore. I'm leaving first." With that, Neil left, his back looking desolate.
It was then that Theo suddenly opened his mouth to speak. "I can't accept you entirely but you can come home."
Neil turned around in disbelief. "Really?"
"Yes," Theo replied lightly.
"Thank you, brother." Neil smiled, it was a bright smile...
