Oh my god I can’t believe he heard me saying all that! I am known with my friends for being sarcastic, and I thought Jake would be ok and replace it funny, he looked bored stood there alone, had I known Knox was stood behind me I would have never spoken! Though the look on his face showed nothing but amusement, he was supposed to be a big tough Alpha, maybe he’d had too much to drink, because he was clearly more than a bit merry with me tonight, or was it flirty?

I said goodbye to Jake as he got into the car, as I planned to walk to the car I was meant to be travelling home in I felt Knox hook his finger under my chin, to raise my face up so my eyes were looking into his, “not so nice to meet the big bad Alpha though eh?” He was grinning, his tone clearly teasing referencing that I had just said it was nice to meet Jake. “Or were you hoping I was going to take you back to my cave?” He teased with a chuckle, his eyes not moving from mine.

I pouted, biting my l*p not sure what to say to that, he smiled “I’m teasing Lilah” he leant forward, kissing me lightly on my cheek “I’ll say from my point of view, it was nice to meet you tonight though”

My heart was pounding, what was that?! Before I had chance to analyse what he had just done and whether I wanted to actually k**s him properly he said “even if you drank all our drinks, drooled on my shoulder when I bored you to sleep, and hurt my feelings questioning my Alpha strength and speed, then accused me of having a cave when in fact it’s a luxurious man cave! ” he grinned, instantly putting me at ease as he nodded toward Gabe who was now standing by my side, to lead me to the car that would be taking me home.

“They’re asleep already” Gabe rolled his eyes in the direction of the car, signalling that Lexi and Rae had already passed out, clearly both had drunk far too much tonight.

“Make sure they get in their houses ok Gabe” Knox ordered his friend, clearly concerned for our safety “you know there’s been reports of rogues around lately, and I doubt that’s just near our pack. I don’t want anything happening to them” he continued.

Gabe looked at Knox and nodded, before looking at me “Let’s get you home Chica” he grinned, casually putting his arm round my shoulder, as we walked toward the car.

I swear I heard a small growl from behind us as we walked away..
