Chapter 47

Ethan Carter's smile disappears in an instant but Olivia, who barges in, catches the remnants of a smile on his face, which leaves her wondering what on earth could have made Ethan so happy?

"What's wrong?" A look of puzzlement, mixed with a hint of anger, seemed to be in his eyes, as if he felt that Olivia's sudden appearance had interrupted his good mood.

"Ethan knows I like tea, so he ordered some flown in." Olivia's demeanor quickly

returned to normal.

"Leave it there, until he has time to try it." Ethan said, casually placing the tea on the side table, Olivia clenched her teeth at the sight of the tea, believing that his coldness was a bit too much, which made her both angry and anxious. "Well then, he went out first." She looked at Ethan with a hurt look on her face, hoping

that he would realize her loss and come over to comfort her.

Ethan didn't say a word until Olivia walked out of the office. She had no choice but to take out all her frustrations on Emma. "Emma, that pesky rival of mine, how dare she compete with me for Ethan!"

She muttered to herself a little angrily as she walked home. As it was getting late, Ethan left work early, considering that he had to pick up Emma and go back to the Carter Estate to have dinner with Mr. Carter. He's downstairs at my house.

He parked his car in front of the apartment building where Emma lived, and sent her a

message.

Soon, Emma's familiar figure appeared in his line of sight, wearing a beige dress with delicate make-up, her hair pulled back behind her ear, and a graceful, slender figure that showed off her body like a mountain spirit.

Ethan froze, five years ago Emma had looked like a nanny, dressed in baggy loungewear, taking care of his life, but now she was a competent professional woman, so elegant and graceful that he felt an attraction that he had never felt before. Three Years to love

Ethan immediately opened the car door for her, and Emma thanked him and got right. in; Ethan got back in the car, and couldn't help but look at Emma, which made her feel uncomfortable, and the atmosphere outside the car became awkward. "What, is there something on my face?" Her brow furrowed slightly, a hint of impatience in her tone, and Ethan's aggressive gaze made her feel a little helpless.

Ethan realized he was out of line, and quickly withdrew his gaze. The driver started the car and headed straight for the Carter Estate.

On the way, the two did not communicate with each other, Emma gazed at the scenery passing by outside the window, although on the surface it was not shocking, but on the inside it was turbulent.

Ethan pretended to be serious and opened the computer file, but when he reached Carter Estate, he didn't even finish the first page of the nearly hour-long drive.

When he arrives at Ethan's house, Emma sees Mr. Carter waiting at the door as excited as a child, knowing that Emma will be arriving soon, and that he's been waiting at the door since early in the morning and has not been persuaded to do anything about it. The car pulled up at the gate of the Carter Estate, Mr. Carter came up at once, and Emma quickly opened the door.
