Ten minutes later, Alec's car pulled up at the villa. As he walked into the living room and saw two women sitting on opposite sides of the sofa, a migraine began to form in his head.

"Jenny, why did you come back today?" Alec approached Jenny cautiously, asking with concern. If he had known that Jenny was coming back today, he would have been waiting for her at the airport and taken her to their new house, avoiding this encounter with Quinn.

Having no clue of his plans, Jenny's face instantly darkened. "If I hadn't come back today, would I have discovered what you were doing behind my back?"

"Jenny, it's a misunderstanding. I wanted to give you a surprise..." Alec tried to explain.

"A surprise? It's quite surprising indeed." Jenny laughed coldly, glancing at Quinn.

Quinn ignored their conversation and played with her phone. "Miss Walter, you've misunderstood. Alec hasn't done anything to hurt you. Although he gave me this house to live in, he="

"You shut up!" Alec yelled, feeling the urge to hit someone.

Quinn pursed her lips, but she didn't take Alec's scolding to heart.

Alec turned his gaze to Jenny. "Jenny, let's leave this place."

"Leave? Why should we leave?" Jenny couldn't believe it. Alec wanted her to leave!

Seeing that she had misunderstood him again, Alec quickly explained, "I moved our home to another place, so I let her live here. It's not what you're thinking."

When Jenny frowned, Alec continued, "This house was originally bought for you to take care of Evan. It's not convenient for both of us to commute to work from here, and I wanted to move to a new house for a while. Since we're getting married, I've prepared a new house as a surprise for you when you return. I didn't expect..."

He hadn't expected Jenny to return so early, catching him off guard.

With Alec's explanation, Jenny understood and believed him to some extent, but she still felt uneasy. "Even if we're moving out, this place shouldn't be given to her."

She knew the relationship between Quinn and Alec.

Before Alec could explain, Quinn said, "Miss Walter, rest assured, I have no intention of ruining your relationship with Alec. I had just arrived in Bardoff City and had nowhere to stay. Alec felt sorry for me, so he let me stay here. Don't worry, he loves you."

Although Quinn's remarks were casual, they made Jenny furious. Jenny wondered if she had asked for her opinion.

Alec led Jenny out of the villa, stuffed her into the passenger seat, and drove away quickly. On the way to their new home, Alec explained to Jenny about Quinn coming to see him, emphasizing, "Jenny, I have no feelings for her anymore."

"Who knows?" Jenny snorted coldly, looking out the car window. Although she believed Alec's explanation to some extent, she wondered if it made sense for him to go to such lengths for someone he had no feelings for.

"Jenny, please believe me. I allowed her to live there, thinking that we were moving out anyway and won't be staying there. I didn't have an ulterior motive."

He wouldn't have let Quinn stay here if he had had other motives.

Jenny snorted again. Alec wanted to cry. He finally realized that Jenny could get jealous too.
