Chapter 496 We Are Not That Familiar

Jenny sneered inwardly after hearing his words; she had no intention of arguing with him. 'Mr. Walter, you don't need to tell me all that. I came today to ask you something."

"Okay. Sit down first. Take your time.' Graham didn't know what she was going to say, but for him, it was good that he got to spend more time with Jenny.

Jenny didn't bother with the pleasantries. She had a lot to say, so naturally, she had to sit down and take her time to say what she wanted. With that, she walked over and sat on the sofa. Graham noticed there was another person with Jenny, but the person was wearing a mask, so he couldn't see the person's face.

Shortly after, his assistant brought in a tray of drinks. The table in front of them was soon full of various drinks.

"1 don't know what you like to drink," Graham nervously said.

That was the way the Walter family did things. They had too much money to spare and didn't skimp on showing their hospitality. Since they didn't know what Jenny liked, they prepared one of everything for her to take her pick.

"I don't have a preference," Jenny said indifferently. "Mr. Walter, you don't need to be so polite with me. We're not that familiar."

She wouldn't just acknowledge him as her father just because he was a little attentive.

"Jenny-"

"Mr. Walter,' Jenny interrupted him and looked into his eyes.

Under her gaze, Graham was inexplicably stunned. He didn't speak and just listened to her.

"I came here mainly to ask you, Mr. Walter, how much do you hate me? For so many years, you've never come to see me and just ignored my existence. Now, you even sent someone to kill me. If you hate me that much, why didn't you kill me back then? There's no need to wait until I reach this age.' As she spoke, Jenny kept glancing at Graham.

Sure enough, after hearing what Jenny said, Graham's expression changed dramatically. "What? Kill you? Who wants to kill you?"

Based on his reaction, Jenny surmised that Graham didn't know about it at all. At that moment, she didn't know whether she should be happy or not. Her biological father didn't have the intention of killing her. She should be happy about it, but she had no energy to smile.

"Do you really not know?" Jenny sneered. "It seems you don't have complete control over the Walter family."

Graham calmed down and had already made his guess. 'If someone really wants to harm you, it must not have been someone from the Walter family."

He was very sure about it. Although he never disclosed Jenny's identity, the Walters could not have targeted her for no reason. If they did, it meant that the person had found out about something. If they'd found out about his and Jenny's relations, the Walters would not act because they wouldn't dare to.

"Is that so?' Jenny chuckled lightly and looked at Ash. She took off her mask upon seeing Jenny's signal.

Graham looked at Ash and frowned after he snapped out of his daze. 'Ash?"

"It seems that you know her. I'm afraid I would be dead by now if I wasn't prepared. You should explain this to me, Mr. Walter."

At that moment, Graham understood everything.

Ash was not a member of the Walter family, but because of Rowena, she often visited Walter Castle. Graham knew her and knew she was skilled, but he didn't expect Rowena to send Ash to kill Jenny. She was really ruthless!

"I'm sorry, Mr. Walter," Ash said. Graham had always treated her well. Other than that, she had no idea Jenny was his daughter.

But would she not have done it if she knew?

No, she would still do it because she owed Rowena a favor, leaving her with no other choice.
