To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny)
Chapter 975 Little Brats

Alec took his phone back from the lady, thanked her, and hurriedly looked at the photos on his phone. The corners of his mouth lifted up involuntarily. The more he looked at the photos, the more satisfied he was with the result.

Jenny came over at some point and couldn't help but comment disapprovingly, "This photo makes me look so fat."

"Not at all. I think you look just right." Alec put away his phone. He made sure to save the photos well. He would ask Vincent to print them out and frame them later.

Jenny glared at him, feeling a bit grumpy. "You should have told me beforehand so I could wear a nice outfit and take some nice photos. Now..."

She lowered her head and looked at herself. She was all bundled up in her down jacket and looked like a bear, so she decided to give up on that idea.

"You look beautiful in my eyes no matter what." Alec's words were as sweet as honey, leaving Jenny momentarily speechless.

"Ah!"

As the two were talking, a few children not far away were throwing snowballs at each other. One snowball happened to hit Jenny's head.

Seeing Jenny being hit by the snowball, Alec's eyes darkened, and he glared at the children who were a stone's throw away. "You little brats."

"Forget it..." The words had barely come out of Jenny's mouth when she saw Alec picking up snow from the ground, compressing it into a snowball, and hurling it at the children in one swift movement. Jenny was rendered speechless.

"Come on. Let's fight him!" The children hit by Alec's snowball decided to gang up and fight him together.

The melee began instantly. Jenny had been standing and watching at first, but Alec somehow pulled her into the fray, and she started joining in the fight against the children.

"Ah! Ah! The adults are bullying us!" Although there were about three or four of them, they were no match for Jenny and Alec. The children could only resort to shouting to divert the attention of the two adults. Unfortunately, the approach was of no use.

In the end, Jenny and Alec emerged victorious, and the few children were dragged home by their parents and reluctantly went to school.

Jenny, who had been a little cold, was now sweating on her back. It had been a long time since she'd played so enthusiastically.

When she was gasping for breath, Alec looked at her and asked, "Was that fun?"

"Yeah, it was." She'd never been in a snowball fight before and didn't expect it to be so interesting. It was no wonder people seemed to enjoy it when she saw them doing it in videos she came across on the internet.

"Well...Shall we do it again tomorrow?" Alec asked.

Jenny shook her head instantly. "No! People will think we're bullying the children."

Indeed, they'd gone all out on those kids earlier. Thinking back about what she'd done, Jenny felt somewhat guilty.

"Don't worry too much. I think they were actually quite happy playing with us," Alec said as he stretched out a hand to brush the snow off Jenny's head.

They stood very close to each other. Perhaps because they'd exerted themselves more than they normally would, they were breathing heavily and could hear each other's heartbeat.

The thumping of their heart didn't weaken. On the contrary, it was getting stronger.

"Alec...Mmph..."

Jenny's words were interrupted by Alec's sudden move to kiss her.

She wanted to push him away, but he held her hands tightly, so she could only let him have his way. The snow was still falling, landing on their heads. The shopkeeper couldn't help but take out her phone and snap a picture of the scene before her.

As the sound of children chattering noisily came closer, Alec finally let go of her. It wasn't because he was afraid of being seen, but because Jenny's face was so red it looked like she was having a heat stroke. If he didn't let go of her, she might be too embarrassed to continue living in this neighborhood should others see her canoodling with a man like this.
