Chapter 504 Stop Hanging Around Him So Much

In the evening, Caroline received a text from Casey.

Casey: [So, you’re dating Neil Xander?]

She was disgusted.

Caroline: [I don’t think that’s any of your business.]

Casey: [It isn’t, but I bet I’ll enjoy Evan’s reaction]

Caroline muttered to herself, “You pervert!”

Caroline: [Can we cancel the meeting tonight?

Casey: [You shouldn’t mix up two different matters. I’ll see you at 8:00 p.m.]

Caroline couldn’t understand why Casey chose Grand East Hospital as the meeting place. Even if it

belonged to Evan, he might not check the surveillance cameras. If Casey had warned Evan, the latter

would have called her, but she hadn’t received any calls or texts from him.

Caroline wondered, ‘What’s Casey’s goal?‘

She decided to stay at the company to work on her sketches.

She headed to the hospital at 7:30 p.m. and arrived at nearly 8:00 p.m. Her phone rang as she parked.

Seeing Casey’s call, she picked up and asked, “Where are you?”

Casey chuckled. “Why the rush to see me?”

Suppressing her disgust, Caroline said, “Don’t forget what you promised me.”

“I know. It’s about whether I told Daniella about Evan’s mother. Don’t rush it. Come and wait for me at

the

inpatient department.”

Following Casey’s instructions, Caroline got out of her car and headed to the inpatient department.

She was infuriated when she didn’t see Casey and said, “Don’t play games with me.”

Evan smiled and replied, “Why would I play games with you? Remember to cooperate with me during

the performance later.”

Caroline was puzzled. “What performance?”

Casey hung up abruptly.

Meanwhile, Daniella spotted Evan in the elevator area of the inpatient department.

She smiled and said, “Axel’s bone marrow is over 90% compatible. His surgery in two days will surely

be a

success. But when can I visit Axel?”

Evan stared at the elevator display. “Axel isn’t feeling well today. We’ll visit him tomorrow.”

Tears welled up in Daniella’s eyes, and she pretended to wipe them away, exclaiming, “That’s great! I

can finally see Axel.”

Evan’s brow furrowed slightly. “Don’t disturb his rest. He doesn’t need you hovering around him.”

“I understand. Don’t worry.” Daniella nodded.

As the elevator doors opened, Evan and Daniella entered it.

Daniella asked, “Evan, if you’re going back to change, should I wait for you?”

“No,” Evan replied sternly.

Daniella looked away, and the atmosphere in the elevator turned cold. She hurried out when the doors.

opened and spotted a familiar figure. Her eyes widened.

‘Casey? Why is he here?’ she wondered,

Soon after, Evan exited the elevator and saw Casey as well. His gaze darkened as he stared at Casey

and the familiar woman standing opposite him.

“Caroline?” Daniella called out in surprise but refrained from asking why Casey was meeting Caroline

there. She followed Evan closely and heard Casey and Caroline’s cheerful voices.

Casey stopped talking and turned when he heard footsteps behind him. He greeted Evan with a smile,

What a coincidence, Evan, Why are you still at the hospital so late?”
