Chapter 807 Look Into Scott

Draco took a seat, warning. “Don’t even think about taking 30% of the shares!”

Evan replied firmly, “Since it’s non–negotiable, let’s end this conversation.”

Draco slammed the desk in frustration and retorted, “What do you want then? Don’t assume I can’t replace someone else to do your job!”

Evan sneered and shot back. “I’m afraid MK will hit rock bottom long before you think about training a

replacement for me.”

Draco questioned, “Do you doubt my ability to continue managing the company?”

Leaning back, Evan challenged him, ‘After a decade away, how well do you know the company, industry needs, and the research anddevelopment of new products? How much can you catch up on?”

Draco was rendered speechless.

Evan continued. “And Casey’s reputation will impact the company. How long do you think it can survive

after the recent mess?”

Draco felt the urgency to keep Evan at MK and clenched his fists, fearing the consequences.

If he let Evan go, the latter could easily take over MK within a few years, jeopardizing not only shares but also Draco’s standing in Angelbay.

However, surrendering the shares meant losing control over passing down the company to Casey. Evan’s

disrespect would only worsen.

After careful consideration, Draco finally spoke. “Fine, I’ll give you 30% of the shares.”

Evan smirked, “The lawyer is on the way. We’ll transfer the shares immediately.”

Glaring, Draco accused, “So, this was your plan all along!”

Evan said, “You taught me to be ready for unexpected things.”

In the afternoon, Draco angrily left MK after signing the share transfer agreement.

Evan was about to call Neil when Reuben swiftly entered the office.

“Sir! There’s news from Muricia again,‘ Reuben said sternly.

Evan frowned. “What’s the situation?”

Reuben reported, “The firewall was breached to the third level last night, and the IT department is overwhelmed. The branch’s VP suggests youvisit Muricia to discuss relocating important projects.”

“What a bunch of incompetent people!” Evan’s expression turned cold. “Find capable hackers with separate payrolls. If we can’t replace abreakthrough, I’ll go to Muricia.”

Reuben mentioned, “The VP insists you provide him with an exact arrival time in Muricia.”

Evan narrowed his eyes. “One month. I have other matters now!”

Reuben acknowledged, “Yes, sir!”

As Reuben prepared to leave, Evan called out to him, “Reuben!”

Reuben turned. “Is there anything else, sir?”

“Look into Scott Wilson.”

‘Dr. Wilson?

Reuben was confused about why Evan would investigate a doctor. Despite his curiosity, Reuben nodded

and left.

On Wednesday, Caroline woke up early to take the children to the hospital.

She was clearly distracted on the way. Liora called out to her a few times, but she didn’t respond.

Neglected, Liora climbed into Caroline’s lap. ‘Mommy…”

Caroline looked at Liora in a daze. “Hmm? What is it, Lia?”

Liora pouted and stared at Caroline innocently. “I called out to you a few times, but you didn’t hear me,

Mommy.”
