Sensing her nervousness, Grace immediately said, "I'm sorry. If this is a sensitive topic, feel free not to answer my question."

She understood that her question was too abrupt.

Personally, the reason behind her own question was due to the facial similarity between Maria and her cousin. However, Yvonne had no idea about that.

If she really asked whether Yvonne was related to her cousin in any way, Grace wasn't sure if she would take it well. She might even run away.

Who knew how she ended up with this child.

After pondering on it, even Grace felt that she was crossing the line with her question.

"No, it's fine." Yvonne shook her head. "I separated from Maria's dad due to some personal reasons, and we won't be able to reconcile in the future as well. Therefore, I'm not able to comment much on her father."

Grace was startled. She had many questions in her mind, but since Yvonne answered her that way, there was no other way for her to continue questioning her.

She nodded. "Let me know if you ever need any help. If I can help, I will surely do my best."

"Thank you so much," Yvonne expressed her gratitude sincerely. "I've already troubled you guys so much. I'm afraid that I may have to trouble you guys in the future as well."

"I used to take care of my child on my own as well, but I had my sister who could help me out. You must be exhausted, having to raise Maria alone," Grace said, "I gave birth to Little Gary and Ernest before getting married, so it was very stressful back then, which is why I understand how you feel. It was my bad to ask you such a sensitive question just now."

"It doesn't matter." Yvonne didn't mind. "Maria is very smart, but she also has some minor problems. I'm not sure if it's because she doesn't have a father and thus feels insecure, but she could never stop talking as if she would cease to exist the moment no one answered her. Hence, I feel really guilty towards my daughter as I'm not sure what I can do about it."

Grace nodded and didn't know what she could say.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

She checked her phone and realized that it was a

call from Zachary.

She immediately said to Yvonne, "I'm sorry, but I have to pick up a call first. Please give me two minutes."

"Okay." Yvonne nodded her head and remained there.

After answering the phone, Grace asked, "Zachary?"

"I'm at your house, but neither of you is here. Should I leave or stay and wait for the two of you?"

"You're already at my house? I'll be back real soon, don't leave yet, Zachary. I really have something to talk to you about."

"Okay, I'll wait for you then." He didn't say anything else.

After hanging up the phone, she looked at Yvonne and said, "Madam Attwood, let's keep in contact and have a drink together in the future. My cousin just paid a visit, so I have to leave now." "Okay, go ahead." Yvonne smiled and thanked her again. "Thank you so much for looking after my child last night."

"Haha, you're welcome. My children were mainly the ones who looked after her. I didn't do much." Grace didn't want to claim all the credit.

"Please thank your children for me." Yvonne didn't have to think much to imagine what must have happened. "I'm sure they must be exhausted."

"They're still fine." Grace didn't want to tell her truthfully that her children were so tired that their eyes became swollen.

She looked at Yvonne and felt that she didn't probe her enough, so she said, "Actually, my cousin's surname is Lowe. He's from the Lowe family in Southland."

"The Lowe family of Southland?" Yvonne's whole body shook as she stared at Grace with her eyes wide open.

Grace instantly understood something.

She answered, "Yeah, my cousin's name is Zachary Lowe."

Yvonne's face instantly paled, as if all the color was drained from her face the instant she heard that. Right after that, she looked at Grace in embarrassment and said, "Is that so? I've never heard of him before."

She almost blurted out the truth.

Sensing how Yvonne looked so unnatural about it, Grace instantly understood that there was something between her and her cousin.

Grace didn't continue the topic further, since she had already sensed something wrong. She would just bring it up to her cousin later.

"I'll make a move now then." Grace smiled and waved goodbye to Yvonne.

Yvonne also immediately nodded and waved back, "Goodbye."

Grace walked towards Heinz, who was protecting her and the children from a few metres away.

Heinz watched them from a distance the whole time. He probably felt that it wouldn't be nice for a man like him to join in conservation between two women.

As soon as Grace walked towards him, Yvonne naturally noticed Heinz as well. Although she felt very flustered, she didn't forget about her basic etiquettes, so she nodded at him from afar to express her gratitude.

Heinz also nodded slightly, but he quickly walked towards Grace, then held her hand as they headed back to their car.

"Zachary is at our home already. Let's head back quickly," Grace said. "I have so many questions to ask him."

"Okay," Heinz nodded. He helped Grace to enter the car first and carefully shielded her head from accidentally hitting the roof of the car.

He took care of her really carefully throughout the entire process.

Yvonne watched them get into their car from afar. She felt slightly envious at how nice it must be to get taken care of so well.

It was probably impossible for her to get together with Zachary for the rest of her life.

The world was truly small; she never expected Zachary to be Little Gary and Ernest's uncle.

No way, she had to quickly leave with Maria.

She couldn't let Zachary discover her.

Hence, after Grace and Heinz left, Yvonne walked into the kindergarten.

Zachary had waited for a long time by the time Grace and Heinz were home. As soon as he caught sight of them, he asked, "Why did the both of you personally send the children to school?" Grace noticed that Zachary looked as nonchalant as how he usually does. However, upon closer inspection, his eyes seemed a little more bloodshot.

"Last night, we had a cute little girl over as our guest. I sent the children over to school so that I could meet the little girl's mom," Grace sat down in front of him, "Zachary, did you not sleep well last night?" "I was pretty much awake for the whole night." He didn't attempt to conceal the truth.

"Were you having insomnia?" Grace was taken aback, "The ever polite gentleman, Zachary Lowe, could suffer from insomnia as well?"

"I'm not omnipotent. Why isn't it possible for me to suffer from insomnia?" He smiled briefly before asking, "So let's be straightforward, why were you guys insisting for me to come over?"

Originally, Grace thought of secretly carrying out a DNA test using the specimen left by Zachary. However, she figured out that something was probably wrong after noticing Yvonne's reaction earlier, so she decided to be straightforward.

"I realized that the little girl from last night looked really similar to you, so I wanted you to come over and see if she happened to be your long-lost daughter, but you couldn't make it in the end," she said to him helplessly, "It's a shame that the both of you couldn't meet in the end."

As soon as she said this, he frowned slightly.

She did not look away from his face. After noticing his frown, she continued, "Zachary, why don't you think carefully about whether you might have had a relationship with a woman and not realized that you might have impregnated her unknowingly."
