True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1055
Timothy rushed to the hospital and saw Heinz's bodyguards in the corridor.
He immediately walked up and asked them, "What happened to Grace? How did she end up in the hospital? She was still fine when I left."
Seeing Timothy looking so pale and worried, the bodyguards didn't dare to say much either. Without the president's order, they could only dutifully stay there to protect her. They dared not to say anything else.
"Mr. Yarbrough, We're sorry. We don't know the exact reason. You'd better ask the president yourself," one of the bodyguards told him.
The bodyguard personally knocked on the door for him.
Soon, Heinz came out with a serious face. When he saw Timothy, he frowned intensely and was not as relaxed and friendly as before.
As soon as Timothy saw this situation, his heart sank. He asked again anxiously, "Heinz, what's going on? Why was Grace hospitalized? Can I go in and look at her?"
"Grace just fell asleep," Heinz said. "Let's replace a place outside and talk about this. She's exhausted."
"Okay, is Grace alright?" Timothy didn't get to see her, so he surely was even more worried. He could only look at the door of the ward.
Seeing this, Heinz stayed calm. However, when he thought about what she and the children in her belly might suffer, he felt very depressed and could not breathe properly.
Thus, he looked at Timothy expressionlessly. He said in a rather impolite tone, "If she was alright, I wouldn't call you to the hospital in the middle of the night, Mr. Yarbrough. I would've waited until tomorrow morning."
Timothy's heart skipped a beat. He sensed that something bad had happened. He looked again at the door of the ward, and he was really worried.
He saw the sign on the ward, written "Gastroenterology".
Gastroenterology!
Grace was in this place. Did it mean that she had food poisoning?
He looked at Heinz again and wanted to ask eagerly.
Heinz left immediately, giving no chance for Timothy to speak in front of the ward.
Timothy could only follow behind him.
It was midnight and there was nowhere to go. They went to a 24-hour cafe outside the hospital. After sitting down, the atmosphere was still heavy.
There were not many people in the cafe at midnight.
Timothy looked around. Fortunately, there were not many people around.
He whispered, "I don't know what's going on, but I can see that your face doesn't look good. If I'm not wrong, this should have something to do with me, right? Gastroenterology; was Grace poisoned?"
"It does relate to you," Heinz did not hide the truth. "Grace had diarrhea and kept vomiting this afternoon. After she was sent to the hospital, we discovered that it was caused by excessive pesticide residue which was found in the basket of fruits you brought today."
"Ah?" Timothy was very shocked. "What's going on?"
The basket of fruits?
Didn't his wife give it to him?
His face suddenly turned pale, and he couldn't believe it. He murmured to Heinz, "That basket of fruit was prepared by Quinn, my wife."
Heinz's eyes narrowed.
It wasn't Mr. Yarbrough.
He was still angry, but at the same time, he breathed a sigh of relief.
At least, as a father, he didn't harm his daughter whom he owed for years.
It didn't seem like it either.
Looking at Timothy, Heinz narrowed his eyes.
His face was getting paler, turning almost bloodless. He looked at Heinz, and his hands were trembling.
"How is Grace? Is it serious?" Timothy's voice was shaking. He sounded really worried.
"Residue isn't too harmful, so it is not as serious as taking in the pesticide. Luckily, she didn't eat much of it. However, she is a pregnant woman, who is just pregnant for not more than four months." Heinz stated the facts casually.
Timothy covered his face with his hands. His shoulders were shaking, and he felt even more downcast.
A muffled voice came from between his fingers, "I really can't be forgiven."
Heinz narrowed his eyes again. Timothy's attitude made him feel bad.
He was silent for a while before he said, "The doctor didn't dare to tell the result of the damage. The gynecology doctor has been persuading us to get rid of the babies."
Timothy froze. He put his hands down and lifted his head.
Heinz saw the tears in his red eyes, which were full of deep pain and remorse.
Timothy opened his mouth, but couldn't speak.
Heinz looked at him. "I don't know if this was an accident or if it was planned. Anyway I don't think this matter is that simple, so I asked you to come over and see how to deal with it." When he said this, he looked at Timothy without blinking. He believed that these words were heavy enough, and Timothy had also heard him well.
His face was pale, and his hands were clenched into fists. After a long time, he made up his mind and said, "Call the police. This matter should be handed to the police immediately."
His attitude brought a little comfort to Heinz's heart. It seemed that he was not aware of it.
At least, this was not what he wished to see.
Then, it was Quinn who did it. Whether she did it intentionally or not, Heinz had no idea.
However, he heard that Quinn was a very capable middle school teacher, and she had her own way of bringing up the children. She was a very good class teacher. It was said that every year, she was able to handle the relationship between students and teachers well. Therefore, she was a really skillful person.
Despite this, that was just a superficial impression of her. Rumors sometimes needed to be verified. No matter how kind a person was, there will always be a selfish side, and there would also be moments when he or she could become a demon.
Therefore, Heinz had no idea of what kind of person Quinn was.
After some time, he said, "Of course we have to call the police, but before that, I just want to inform you."
"No matter if it was unintentional or intentional, let's call the police first," Timothy was very determined. "To investigate everything."
Heinz looked at him for some time and shook his head, "Mr. Yarbrough, I don't want to act rashly and alert the enemy. Without any evidence, we can't arrest the culprit."
Timothy was stunned. "If we don't call the police, how should we settle it?"
"It's all up to you, Mr. Yarbrough," Heinz said in a deep voice and stood up. "I believe that you'll take
care of it."
He stood up and left, without giving him a chance to react.
Timothy looked at his retreating figure. He also stood up and chased after him.
The coffee scent in the air was so alluring. No one had touched the coffee on the table. They were left there, still steaming.
Timothy chased after him and shouted, "Heinz, please wait."
At the door, Heinz stopped and looked at him.
"Don't worry, I'll give you an answer," Timothy whispered. "I owe Grace so much. If I harm her and her children this time, I won't be at ease for the rest of my life. I'll handle this matter thoroughly."
