The man walked toward Zachary's direction and nearly brushed past him. He smiled slightly but did not look at Zachary at all. Zachary frowned. The moment the man passed by, Zachary directly asked, "Excuse me, Sir, how should I address you?" The man was taken aback. He stopped, smiled, and said, "Mr. Lowe, you're too polite. I'm just Mr. Trevino's assistant." "Fabian Trevino?" Zachary blurted out the name in an instant.

More than a year ago, Yvonne left with a man named Fabian via a chartered plane and went to the United States.

After that, it was difficult to investigate Fabian. All the information related to him seemed to have been hidden deeply.

Zachary felt that it was Fabian who deliberately concealed Yvonne's whereabouts and tracks.

Now that this person who claimed to be Fabian's assistant was here. Zachary was not surprised, but he shifted his gaze to Yvonne. When Yvonne heard the name "Fabian Trevino", she was stunned. Zachary was actually aware of his existence.

Then he definitely knew she had left with Fabian a year ago.

Yvonne pursed her lips and looked away from Zachary. It was obvious that she was slightly guilty.

Zachary's gaze sharpened. He cast Yvonne a glance, then looked at Fabian's assistant with a cold expression.

The man smiled and nodded, "Yes, that's Mr. Trevino."

Zachary smiled gently with an icy-cold posture, "Mr. Trevino sure is mysterious. Why is he here in Northern City now?"

"Mr. Lowe, you sure know how to joke." Fabian's assistant smiled modestly, "Mr. Trevino is just keeping a low profile. He doesn't want to be disturbed by those who are irrelevant." Zachary's brows were tightly knitted into a cold frown.

Yvonne immediately shouted in a low voice, "Shelton, you should go first."

The assistant by the name of Shelton glanced at Zachary before nodding slightly and strode away. His actions were filled with a deep sense of alienation.

Zachary remained where he stood and looked at Yvonne silently.

Yvonne knew that she couldn't hide that forever.

She'd have to explain.

She cleared her throat and walked towards Zachary. Looked up at him, she said, "Zachary, let's go inside. It's a little cold here."

Zachary finally couldn't help but chide in a cold voice, "You still don't want to explain yourself?"

Yvonne saw that his gaze had grown sharper. It seemed that he was angry, furious even.

After a few seconds of silence, he said in an even colder voice, "Yvonne Attwood, how many secrets do you exactly have?"

"Zachary, Mr. Trevino and I are just friends." Yvonne spoke, "Don't think too much about it. Thanks to Mr. Trevino's help, I was able to survive in the United States. Otherwise, without him, I might not have been able to survive."

"Ha, it seems that Mr. Trevino is your benefactor now. He can provide you with everything you want."

Zachary's tone was ironic and his question was full of sarcasm.

Yvonne could hear his sarcasm, and her heart was also filled with rage. She felt slightly sad and couldn't help but retort, "You think it's fun to say those things to me, don't you? It's addicting for you, isn't it?" Zachary was even more irritated, and his tone was even ruder, "Yvonne, you went missing with a man for more than a year, and now you're telling me that you're just friends with him. What do you want me to think about that?"

"You can think whatever you want." Yvonne said in a low voice, "Our relationship is not as filthy as you think. You don't have to believe me. It's up to you."

Their loud bicker on the balcony attracted the attention of other people.

Yvonne also seemed to have sensed that something wasn't right. She quickly lowered her voice and said, "I don't want to argue here. If there's anything, well talk about it when we get back home." After that, she went back in.

Everyone who was outside had their eyes on them. Yvonne took a deep breath as soon as she walked away from the balcony. A smile emerged on her face as if nothing had happened, and she went back to eating again.

Zachary smoked a cigarette on the balcony before he went back in.

When he saw Yvonne was unbothered and was still eating, he was stunned. D*mn it, that woman was actually still eating.

She actually still had the appetite to do so.

Zachary was very annoyed. He picked up a glass of wine and chugged it down.

Shelton had left. There was no trace of him anywhere.

Who was actually Fabian?

Zachary frowned and thought for a long time.

When the banquet ended, Zachary gave the car keys to Yvonne as he had some wine and could not drive.

As soon as Yvonne saw the keys, she immediately understood.

The two of them walked towards the parking lot without a sound.

On the way back, Yvonne drove while Zachary sat in the passenger seat, looking at Yvonne with too many questions in his mind.

Yvonne focused on driving and didn't say anything.

The silence continued until the car arrived at the apartment. Yvonne still did not say a single word.

Zachary was no exception.

After arriving, Yvonne turned off the engine. She looked at him and said, "We're here."

Zachary did not say anything.

Yvonne added, "Let's go upstairs. You seem to have had a lot of wine."

This time, Zachary was furious. He pulled his tie off and threw it to Yvonne, saying with bloodshot eyes, "You still won't say anything, would you? Yvonne Attwood, you left Northern City with Fabian Trevino more than a year ago in a chartered plane. A man chartered a plane for you. Tell me, what's your relationship with him?"

"A man chartered a plane for me?" Yvonne was stunned. Looking at how pissed Zachary was, she suddenly smiled and said with self-mockery, "Why would Mr. Trevino charter a plane for me?" "There were only two of you on that plane. If it wasn't for you, then who was it for?"

"Of course it's for himself." Yvonne also said loudly, "Mr. Trevino is a person who knows how to enjoy life. I still don't understand him, but he has helped me a lot. If you still think that I have some special relationship with him, then I have nothing to say. I just want to say that I'm not even worthy of him. Don't think so highly of me. We're nothing but friends."

"Then why did you disappear after you went to the United States?" Zachary shouted coldly, "Where did you go? How do you explain that?"

Yvonne was stunned. She pursed her lips, "I won't explain and I can't explain."

Thinking of Zachary's question, Yvonne had an indescribable feeling in her heart.

She was pleasantly surprised that he was jealous because of that. It meant that he cared about her.

She was also consternated that he was jealous and didn't believe in her.

Her heart was torn between both contradicting emotions and it was unbearable.

She was in a bad mood.

Yvonne got out of the car, stood under the night sky, and took a deep breath. Only then did she feel slightly better.

Unexpectedly, Zachary got out of the car and walked towards her. He grabbed her hand, dragged her angrily, and went upstairs.

The strength of his hand was so great that it almost crushed her wrist.

Yvonne was scared out of her wits. She cried out in a low voice, "Zachary, let go of me. It really hurts!"
