Yvonne couldn't remember how many times her grandmother had beaten her.

She had received countless slaps in the face; She admired her own endurance.

"You ungrateful b*tch, what fault do we have for raising you?" The old lady seemed to have been angered by Yvonne's accusations. She was furious, and her chest heaved as she looked at Yvonne.

Yvonne laughed softly and replied, "Everyone has sinned before. Grandma, you can't avoid it either."

"You!" Elaine raised her hand again and wanted to slap her.

Yvonne's gaze turned sharp. She grabbed the old lady's arm and stated coldly, "That's enough."

Elaine paused, staring at Yvonne in front of her, and angrily questioned, "You dare to fight back because you think you've grown up now?"

"I could've fought back long ago," Yvonne responded in a low voice. "I didn't fight back, not because I was afraid of you, nor because I've grown up. It's because I care about you, but you obviously don't care about me."

Yvonne chuckled and continued in a self-mocking manner, "In the past, I've tolerated everything because I cared about you. Now, I don't want to anymore. Even though from the bottom of my heart, I know that it's impossible for me to not care about you, I will do my best to slowly forget about you."

"You're acting so because you're married, and you have your husband to back you up?" Madam Elaine chided her coldly.

"Even without the Lowe family, I have not used anything from the Attwood family. Ever since Grandpa's death, I haven't used a single penny from the Attwood family," Yvonne answered firmly. "I don't owe you anything, Grandma. I only owe Grandpa."

"You!" The old lady pointed angrily at Yvonne. "You really have no manners."

"I grew up by your side, and you're saying I have no manners. I wonder who you're really insulting here?" Yvonne's tone was very calm.

She wiped away her tears quickly.

There was still a burning pain on the side of her face where she had been slapped.

It was obvious that Elaine did not hold back.

This slap had also completely shattered Yvonne's hopes. She no longer yearned for this relationship.

"I won't come again." She let go of the old lady's hand and walked past her.

"If you dare leave, don't come back for the rest of your life," Elaine scolded angrily. She was furious.

"Alright." Yvonne nodded. "I will never come back again."

After that, she opened the door and walked out.

Zachary stood by the door with worry in his eyes. When he saw the red handprint on her face, he suddenly became anxious.

"What happened?" He stared at Yvonne's cheek. The red handprint stirred up a dangerous feeling inside Zachary.

"It's nothing." Yvonne shook her head and forced a smile at Zachary, which looked worse than crying.

Zachary instantly knew what had happened.

He looked inside.

Elaine stood there, looking at the two of them in a daze.

Zachary held Yvonne's hand and glared at the old lady with restraint to lash out. "Madam Elaine, I respect you as Yvonne's grandmother. This is the only time that I'll let this go. If it happens again, I'll make sure that the entire Attwood family is doomed."

After saying this, Zachary dragged Yvonne downstairs.

The Old Madam stood there in a daze. She could feel a chill down her spine.

Zachary's words were terrifying.

Even Madam Elaine was shocked.

Zachary took Yvonne downstairs. Before they got out of the alley, they met Yvonne's father, Benjamin.

He was chatting with one of Zachary's chauffeurs in Southland. It seemed that he was trying to flatter him.

He was acting very humble and respectful.

Yvonne stopped in her tracks and looked at the man who called himself her father from a distance, trying so hard to flatter Zachary's chauffeur.

She felt bitter but also glad.

Who would've thought that there would be such a day.

Zachary followed her gaze and looked at her quizzically. "Yvonne?"

Yvonne's train of thoughts was interrupted. She looked at Zachary awkwardly.

"What's wrong?" Zachary asked.

"That's the man who had given birth to me," Yvonne said softly. "He's the one I'm supposed to call father."

Zachary paused and looked at the man in surprise. He was a middle-aged man, dressed in casual clothes, and spoke in a flattering manner. Yvonne said, "Zachary, I have already decided to sever ties with this family. You don't need to pay attention to him."

Because even she didn't want to give that man any attention.

Zachary stared deeply at Yvonne. He saw that her expression wasn't very good and the handprint on her face was still very obvious. He held her hand tightly and said, "Let's get something to eat."

The two of them walked toward the car together.

As soon as the driver saw Zachary and Yvonne coming, he ignored Benjamin and immediately greeted, "President, Madam Lowe."

Finally, Benjamin saw them. While he was in a state of shock, he looked at Yvonne in greater shock and pointed at her, "You... you... you're Yvonne?"

Yvonne didn't pay any attention to her father because her father hadn't raised nor supported her financially.

Therefore, she did not care about him at all.

Yvonne glanced at Benjamin and proceeded to ignore him.

Benjamin immediately asked the chauffeur next to him, "Y-you just called her 'Madam Lowe'?"

The driver instinctively looked at Zachary and Yvonne.

Zachary did not give him any instructions. It seemed that he did not want to say anything.

The driver did not dare to ask. He quickly opened the door and respectfully greeted Zachary and Yvonne.

Yvonne didn't say anything. She ignored Benjamin and got into the car.

Zachary followed her closely behind.

Benjamin saw that they were about to leave and immediately put his hand on the door. "Wait, wait, wait, don't go. That is my daughter. You called her Madam Lowe just now. What's going on? Yvonne, I'm your father."

Benjamin bent down to look at Yvonne inside.

Only then did Yvonne look up and reply blandly, "I'm sorry, sir, I don't know you."

Benjamin froze.

The chauffeur pulled him aside, and Benjamin looked at the closed door.

He stood there alone. After a long while, he came to his senses and hurried to his mother's house.

After going upstairs, he found that the door was open.

His mother was staring at the doorway in a daze with a grim expression on her face, while the house was filled with gifts.

"Mom?" Benjamin shouted. "Yvonne was here just now, wasn't she?"

When Madam Elaine saw her son, she immediately came to her senses and slammed the door.

When Benjamin saw that his mother was quiet, the gifts that filled the entire house, as well as the fact that he had met his daughter and the young master of the Lowe family at the entrance of the house, he gulped and took a deep breath.

"Mom, I saw Yvonne just now. She pretended not to know me. She's holding a grudge against me. She doesn't respect me at all."

The old lady returned to the sofa and sat down. "So what if she doesn't care about you? She's grown up now; she doesn't even care that I'm her grandmother."

"Mom, do you know that she has married the young master of the Lowe family of Southland?" Benjamin did not care what his mother had said but was only immersed in his own world. "She is now Madam Lowe. Didn't you ask what's going on?"

"The Lowe family in Southland?" The old lady frowned. "You're saying that Zachary is the young master of the Lowe family of Southland."
