True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1212
Yvonne panicked slightly as she was lifted up into the air. She put her arms unconsciously around Zachary's neck and said in a low voice, "There is no need for you to be jealous of Mr. Trevino. Mr. Trevino and I are just friends. There is nothing else between us."
Friendship? Between two people of opposite genders?
Zachary raised an eyebrow at her. Fabian was still a man. Did this silly girl have no sense of danger?
However, he didn't want to argue with Yvonne because of Fabian. Hence, he told her, "Let's not talk about him."
"Okay," Yvonne immediately agreed and nodded. She was afraid that she would accidentally reveal Mr. Trevino's secrets to him if they continued. Fortunately, Zachary chose to change the conversation. With that said, Zachary carried her into the house.
"Oh, your coat has fallen," Yvonne reminded him as she felt his coat dropping to the ground.
Zachary just smiled at her suggestively, "Never
mind that, let's go to sleep now."
He carried Yvonne back to their room. With a twist of his leg, he closed the door and entered the room.
Of course, Zachary would not allow their wedding night to pass by like this. After letting Yvonne rest for a few hours, he did it with her again.
When the rays of the sun broke through the clouds the first thing in the morning, the loving couple was sleeping soundly on the bed.
Zachary was awakened by his phone ringing at nine o'clock.
He picked up the phone and saw that it was from Heinz. Hence, he got up and went outside to pick up the call.
"Heinz, what's the matter?"
"Hey, Zachary. Congratulations," Heinz smiled and congratulated him through the phone, "I heard from Grace's aunt that you and Miss Attwood just got engaged and are going to hold a wedding ceremony soon."
"How did you replace out so fast?" Zachary did not expect his mother to spread the word around so fast. News of his marriage was already known by many.
"When I was asleep with Grace this morning, her aunt called me. Do you know what time it was?" There seemed to be a hint of exasperation in Heinz's tone, "It was half-past five in the morning." He said, "Half past five this morning, I kid you not! She called to tell us the news and told us that she found out last night. She was so excited that she waited from 11 a.m. till dawn just to spill the beans." "According to your tone, you're not here to congratulate me for getting married, but to blame my mother for bothering you and Grace?" Zachary rarely spoke down towards Heinz.
"Hey," Heinz called him out almost immediately, "You are Grace's cousin. Don't be so rude."
"I guess I'm right," Zachary was in a good mood, so naturally, he began to joke around, "It seems that she has bothered you two."
"Indeed," Heinz sighed, "Do you know how my life is like now?"
"Aren't you very happy to have children?"
"Well, I am!" Heinz started complaining, "However, there won't be any time for romantic moments anymore. You will know when you give birth to another baby with Yvonne in the future. If you want to flirt with her, you'd better do it now. Cherish the time you have together in the present, do you understand!"
Zachary said, "I can roughly understand you now. Just think about it. You're calling me now, in the middle of my honeymoon the day right after I got engaged. Do you think it's appropriate?"
Hearing this, Heinz instantly burst into laughter, "Of course! What's wrong with that? If I can't spend time with my beloved, I'll make sure you can't either!"
"Screw you," Zachary rolled his eyes, "Is there anything else important you want to tell me? Seriously, I'll go back to sleep if there's nothing important."
"There is," Heinz immediately grew serious, "Firstly, congratulations on getting married to Miss Attwood and becoming a legal couple. From now on, I will respectfully call Miss Attwood my cousin-in-law." "Thank you," Zachary cleared his throat and continued, "What's next?"
"Secondly, Fabian's style of doing things is really unpredictable. That guy is mysterious, and I have no idea how he has such a strong backing. Wherever he goes, his traces can be erased. Remember how I sent someone to investigate him? I didn't expect him to call me and inform me to stop investigating him. He said he doesn't want to affect the peace between us." "Investigate him?" Zachary was a little surprised, "What did you replace?" "I didn't replace anything. He found out at the very beginning and called me directly. Why don't you tell me if I should continue or not?"
Fabian's face immediately appeared in Zachary's mind. He thought for a while and said, "Yvonne said that Fabian was kind to her and she didn't want me to disrespect him."
"You are already wrapped around her finger now," Heinz reminded him, "Can't you act normally? Don't go too far."
"You should probably stop investigating him," Zachary advised, "He seems pretty influential, so it won't benefit us in any way. You don't have to waste time on him."
"But don't you want to know why we couldn't trace him overseas?"
"I do want to know," Zachary told the truth.
How could he not want to know everything about his wife when she was in the United States?
It was just that he chose to trust Yvonne. The most important thing between men and women was trust.
After so many years, he regretted not believing firmly in Yvonne and falling into an endless round of self-doubt and questioning. Just like that, he had lost eight years with her.
In fact, now that he was thinking about it calmly, he realized that his father was just an excuse. In truth, his heart had changed.
Back then, if he had seen through Yvonne's inner thoughts and believed in their relationship, the two of them would not have been separated for such a long time. It was all because he had not been able to handle his problems properly.
Right now, he didn't want Yvonne to know that he was going to look into Fabian's identity. After all, that person was a very important friend to Yvonne.
All in all, Zachary was still a gentleman.
"So what made you change your mind?" Heinz retorted.
Zachary admitted truthfully, "We really shouldn't investigate him. There are some things that can stay hidden, and there are some things we need to let go of."
"That's so sweet of you, Zachary," Heinz praised him sincerely.
Zachary laughed, "I'm not very nice, but I know that I'm better than you. You don't even act like a man."
"F*ck, stop making fun of me," Heinz protested on the other side of the phone.
Zachary chuckled, "Well, thank you for telling me this, but I don't really want to know too much now.
As for Fabian, I believe that one day Yvonne will tell me everything. The answer will come out eventually, and not from us investigating him."
"Alright, I'm convinced," Heinz didn't continue making small talk with Zachary and quickly hung up the phone.
He was planning to have some alone time with his wife.
Right about now, their child would have just finished her meal. She was usually very obedient after eating and would stay quietly with their nanny. After eating with Grace, Heinz could spend some time with her. This morning when their aunt called, he was indeed doing something with Grace.
Once the phone rang, the two of them immediately lost the feeling of continuing. Just when they were in the mood to reignite the passion, their child had woken up.
So this was the life of a married couple with a child. It was painfully happy.
